What Happened: In its Q1 2025 XRP Markets <a href="https://ripple.com/insights/q1-2025-xrp-markets-report/">report</a>, Ripple provided key developments and market performance of XRP. 
The token rallied 50% in February, outperforming both Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>), which was flat, and Ethereum (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/eth/usd">ETH</a>), which trended lower.
XRP investment products saw $214 million in inflows year-to-date, just $1 million shy of Ethereum fund inflows globally, highlighting a surge in institutional interest.
Spot trading volume on top-tier exchanges averaged $3.2 billion daily, with XRP/BTC ratios climbing by over 10%. 
XRP briefly touched $3.40 before cooling off, while realized volatility ranged from 100% to 130%. 
Binance dominated trading volume with 40% market share, followed by Upbit (15%) and Coinbase (12%).
Despite this strong performance, on-chain activity slowed, with new wallets and transactions falling 30–40% quarter-over-quarter, mirroring the broader market cooldown.

Refining &amp; Marketing margin was&nbsp;$13.38&nbsp;per barrel for the&nbsp;first quarter&nbsp;versus&nbsp;$19.35&nbsp;per barrel for the first quarter of 2024.
Marathon Petroleum owns the general partner and majority limited partner interest in&nbsp;MPLX LP (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MPLX#NYSE">MPLX</a>), which reported&nbsp;first-quarter earnings per limited partner unit of&nbsp;$1.10, missing the consensus of&nbsp;$1.12.

Chuck Zhang, CFO at PolyFlow, observes that &#8220;Bitcoin&#8217;s current price near $94,000 reflects cautious optimism,&#8221; suggesting that a dovish Fed stance could encourage a &#8220;risk-on&#8221; mindset and lift Bitcoin above $95,000.
Adding to the bullish outlook, reports indicate that Tesla has added Bitcoin back into its website code for payments, hinting at a potential resumption of Bitcoin transactions. 
This development, coupled with a more accommodative Fed policy, could further bolster Bitcoin&#8217;s appeal among institutional investors.
However, not all analysts are uniformly optimistic. 
Azeem Khan, co-founder of Miden blockchain, points out that &#8220;we&#8217;re seeing signs that Bitcoin is separating from altcoins and even from equities,&#8221; suggesting that Bitcoin&#8217;s performance may increasingly diverge from other asset classes.
As the Fed&#8217;s decision looms, the cryptocurrency market remains poised for potential volatility.
