What Happened: During its much-anticipated <a href="https://benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/05/45657660/nvidia-q1-highlights-china-export-ban-hits-results-but-jensen-huang-says-demand-incredibly-strong">first quarter results</a> on Wednesday, NVIDIA reported $5 billion in sales from its networking business, an increase of 64% from the prior quarter, with the company&#8217;s CFO Colette Kress noting during the earnings call, that its enhanced Ethernet platform, SpectrumX, is now annualizing over $8 billion.
&#8220;Spectrum X posted strong sequential and year-on-year growth,&#8221; she said, adding that adoption is &#8220;widespread across major CSPs,&#8221; including Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud, CoreWeave Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CRWV#NASDAQ">CRWV</a>), and most recently, Google Cloud and Meta Platforms Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/META#NASDAQ">META</a>).

During the call, CEO Jensen Huang emphasized the company&#8217;s strategy to dominate, not just the AI compute layer, but the entire datacenter architecture. 
He says, &#8220;we now have four networking platforms,&#8221; referring to NVLink, SpectrumX, InfiniBand, and BlueField, all of which he says are &#8220;doing really well.&#8221;
Powerful AI models such as ChatGPT or Google&#8217;s Gemini require hundreds of thousands of GPUs that need to constantly talk with one another. These conversations are an intense, split-second exchange of huge volumes of data that traditional Ethernet switches are incapable of handling.
The company's NVLink Gen 5 platform delivers 130 terabytes per second of bandwidth in a single rack, which is equivalent to the world's peak internet traffic. 
Huang says that enhanced Ethernet, once considered unsuitable for AI, now rivals InfiniBand in efficiency. &#8220;The traffic of AI is insanely bursty… and so SpectrumX has been really, quite frankly, a home run.&#8221;
Despite its rapid growth, networking still makes up a relatively small portion of NVIDIA's $39.1 billion data center revenue, where GPU sales dominate. This is potentially obscuring its growth and impact among investors and analysts. 
&#8220;This is the start of a powerful new wave of growth,&#8221; Huang said, reinforcing his confidence in the segment. &#8220;We're off to the races.&#8221;

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AAPL#NASDAQ">AAPL</a>) is reportedly preparing a rebrand of its software platforms by introducing a year-based naming system.
What Happened: At its Worldwide Developers Conference on June 9, Apple could unveil the new strategy, <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-05-28/apple-to-rebrand-device-operating-systems-ios-26-macos-26-watchos-26?srnd=undefined">reported</a> Bloomberg on Wednesday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
As per the report, the tech giant will replace the current version numbers like iOS 18 and macOS 15 with year-based names, such as iOS 26, macOS 26, and iPadOS 26.
The idea behind this is to simplify the naming process, which currently has some inconsistencies because of its varied launch dates.
Apple did not immediately respond to <a href="https://pro.benzinga.com/dashboard">Benzinga's</a> request for comments.

Apple Is Reportedly Making iOS Take A Leap From 18 To 26 — Here's Why

Eric Trump, the executive vice president of The Trump Organization, was all praise for Strategy Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MSTR#NASDAQ">MSTR</a>) co-founder Michael Saylor on Wednesday, stating that Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) is "fortunate" to have him.
What Happened: Speaking at the Bitcoin 2025 conference in Las Vegas, Trump recalled how Saylor attempted to persuade him to invest in the apex cryptocurrency.

Eric Trump mentioned how Saylor advises everyone to follow his Bitcoin playbook and how it's an &#8220;incredible opportunity&#8221; to capitalize on.

U.S. stock futures are rallying Wednesday evening after a Federal Court ruled that President Donald Trump overstepped his authority with the &#8220;Liberation Day&#8221; tariffs imposed at the beginning of April. 
Following the ruling, the S&amp;P 500 Futures are up 1.50%, at 5,991.25, Nasdaq Futures trading at 21,775.75, up 1.85%, followed by Dow Futures rose over 400 points to 42,635.00, soaring 1.10% on the news.
A three-judge panel on the Manhattan-based U.S. Court of International Trade <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/05/45660322/trump-tariffs-struck-down-by-federal-court-major-blow-to-white-houses-trade-strategy-report">ruled unanimously</a> on Wednesday that the Constitution gives Congress exclusive authority to regulate trade and commerce with other countries, which the&nbsp;International Emergency Economic Powers Act does not override.

The White House has since filed an appeal against this ruling, which could jeopardize its strategies and ongoing negotiations with several trade partners.
The ruling has sparked a surge in retail stocks in after-hours trading, with Walmart Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/WMT#NYSE">WMT</a>) up 1.54%, Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AMZN#NASDAQ">AMZN</a>) rallying 3.51%, followed by Shopify Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SHOP#NASDAQ">SHOP</a>) and Target Corp. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TGT#NYSE">TGT</a>) up 3.55% and 3.19%, respectively.
Japan&#8217;s benchmark Nikkei 225 index opened higher, currently trading up 1.49%, or 563.12 points, at 38,285.52 on the news, despite growing concerns of <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/global/25/05/45613069/japans-40-year-bond-yield-nosedives-as-finance-ministry-considers-cutting-super-long-debt-issuance-report">rising 40-Year bond yields</a>. The rally is being led by major exporters, electronics and automotive stocks.
The U.S. Dollar Index (DXY) is up 0.51% on Wednesday, regaining the key 100 level, trading at 100.389.
Following Nvidia Corp.&#8217;s (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NVDA#NASDAQ">NVDA</a>) beat on its first quarter earnings on Wednesday, investors will be closely watching the results of Costco Wholesale Corp. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/COST#NASDAQ">COST</a>), Dell Technologies Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DELL#NYSE">DELL</a>), Marvell Technology Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MRVL#NASDAQ">MRVL</a>) and Zscaler Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ZS#NASDAQ">ZS</a>) on Thursday.
