Adverum Biotechnologies Inc is a clinical-stage company that aims to establish gene therapy as a new standard of care for prevalent ocular diseases. It develops gene therapy product candidates intended to provide durable efficacy by inducing sustained expression of a therapeutic protein. Its product candidate, ixoberogene soroparvovec (Ixo-vec), is a single, in-office intravitreal (IVT) injection gene therapy product designed to deliver long-term durable therapeutic levels of aflibercept associated with a robust, sustained treatment response, reducing the treatment burden and fluctuations in macular fluid associated with bolus anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) IVT injections.

The facility is designed to support the production of high-performance brushless motors for First-Person View (FPV) and commercial drones. Initially, it will focus on three core motor sizes: 2207, 2807, and 3220. In-house winding capabilities will support both standard and custom KV ratings and hybrid workcells will allow for both high-volume and small-batch production. The space is located near the company's existing headquarters and is an expansion of Unusual Machines' Orlando campus. The proximity to Rotor Riot's technical team and pilot community allows for rapid product feedback and alignment with end-user needs. The production system is designed to eventual scale to monthly production volumes exceeding 50,000 motors.
"Our new facility will enable us to build at scale, while also supporting customer-specific variants through flexible workcells," said Brad Mello, Vice President of Manufacturing. "We're implementing best-in-class practices from day one - lean layouts, digital traceability, and automated quality control - to ensure we can deliver reliable motors at volume with the precision and accountability required for government and commercial customers."
Unusual Machines is pursuing a dual-sourcing strategy for critical components such as magnets, bearings, and stators to insulate against supply chain disruptions. The company plans to offer both Made-in-USA and globally sourced motor variants to meet different regulatory and customer needs.
"This factory is a major milestone in our strategy to rapidly onshore drone component manufacturing," said Allan Evans, CEO of Unusual Machines. "To go fast, we are doing things in parallel and have already placed the equipment orders. We are solving one of the major pain points in the American drone supply chain."

This is compared to the company&#8217;s prior guidance of net sales of $1.30 billion-$1.33 billion and adjusted EPS range of a loss of 10 cents to a profit of 10 cents.
The analyst is encouraged by the company&#8217;s better-than-expected preliminary results, showing continued momentum despite a slow start in January/February.
However, the cybersecurity incident is a significant concern; Telsey noted that VSCO&#8217;s inability to access systems for its full earnings report has caused a postponement.
Given digital sales were ~33% last year, the analyst believes that the prolonged website shutdown during Memorial Day sales could have a meaningful impact.
While the first quarter showed positive momentum, the analyst asserted that the unknown fallout from the cyberattack could weigh on the second quarter and the second half as details emerge.
With this new incident, ongoing macroeconomic challenges, and fluid tariff impacts, the analyst remains cautious on the company.
Despite strides in product and messaging, Telsey believes the brand still needs to be more successfully repositioned within its highly competitive, low-growth category.
Consequently, the analyst lowered the estimates and now projects FY25 EPS at $2.22, down from $2.35 previously, which compares to last year&#8217;s $2.69 and the prior consensus of $2.22.
Also, the FY26 EPS estimate is lowered to $2.38 from $2.58, against a prior consensus of $2.35.

NioCorp Developments Ltd. ("NioCorp" or the "Company") (NASDAQ:<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NB#NASDAQ">NB</a>) today released the following statement in response to news reports in the Wall Street Journal, New York Post, New York Times and other media outlets that U.S.-based automotive and other manufacturers may be forced to halt production because of shortages of high-performance rare earth magnets caused by China's decision to slow or stop exports of these magnets and the heavy rare earths they contain.
"U.S.-based automotive production may have to halt production now because of shortages caused by China of high-performance permanent rare earth magnets and heavy rare earths," said Mark A. Smith, Executive Chairman and CEO of NioCorp. "Other manufacturers, including in the U.S. defense industrial base, are also in trouble. This a true crisis for our economy and our national defense.
"Given that China is the sole source of 100% of processed heavy rare earths, President Xi holds all of the cards on this. The only real solution is to accelerate production in the U.S. of these strategic materials and reduce our current dependence on China.
"Fortunately, NioCorp's Elk Creek Critical Minerals Project is fully permitted to start construction, which can begin immediately once project financing is finalized. The sooner we can start our three-year construction period, the sooner we can be in production of Made-in-America niobium, scandium, and titanium and potentially heavy rare earth oxides. But we need to move quickly so that U.S. manufacturing and our defense industrial base can start to see light at the end of this tunnel."

On Tuesday, Zydus Lifesciences Ltd. announced its entry into the global biologics contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) business through its plan to acquire Agenus Inc.&#8217;s&nbsp;(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AGEN#NASDAQ">AGEN</a>) U.S.-based <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/06/n45743601/zydus-to-enter-global-biologics-cdmo-business-plans-to-acquire-agenus-u-s-manufacturing-facilities" rel="noreferrer noopener">biologics CMC facilities</a>.
The acquisition marks Zydus&#8217; strategic investment in U.S.-based biologics manufacturing, thereby adding a sustainable growth driver for the group.
Agenus is a clinical-stage <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/health-care" rel="noreferrer noopener">immuno-oncology company</a>.
Zydus will acquire two biologics manufacturing facilities from Agenus in Emeryville and Berkeley, California, for an upfront consideration of $75 million and a contingent payment of $50 million to be paid over three years subject to the achievement of certain revenue milestones.

This acquisition provides Zydus with immediate access to advanced biologics manufacturing capabilities and establishes a key presence in&nbsp;California.
As part of the transaction, Zydus will become an exclusive contract manufacturer for Agenus and will provide manufacturing services for the clinical and commercial supply of two identified Phase-3-ready immuno-oncology products, Botensilimab (BOT) and Balstilimab (BAL).
Zydus will also have the first right of negotiation to manufacture any of the future pipeline products developed by Agenus. Zydus intends to further expand the team.
The company presented new translational data for BOT/BAL at the 2025 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting.
The study demonstrated that botensilimab-based therapy induces a robust and persistent T cell immune response in microsatellite stable (MSS), or mismatch repair proficient (pMMR), metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC).
HC Wainwright analyst Emily Bodnar wrote on Wednesday, &#8220;We are unsurprised by the manufacturing facilities&#8217; sale and outlicensing of bot/bal as these decisions were consistent with remarks previously made by management.&#8221;
During its first-quarter earnings, Agenus said it is on track to reduce its annualized operating cash burn below $50 million starting in the second half of 2025, supported by recent cost optimization measures enabling the company to direct resources toward realizing the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/05/b45344207/agenus-reports-q1-2025-financial-results-and-key-business-updates" rel="noreferrer noopener">potential of BOT/BAL</a>.
The company also mentioned it is in the final stages of an important collaboration, which will result in a substantial cash infusion.
Agenus ended the first quarter of 2025 with a consolidated cash balance of $18.5 million.
The analyst says the company has sufficient funding to advance bot/bal through a Phase 3 trial, which is expected to be initiated in the second half of 2025.
Bodnar upgraded the stock from Neutral to Buy, with <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/AGEN/analyst-ratings" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">a price target of $25</a>.
The analyst estimates bot/bal approval in the U.S. and EU in 2028 and 2029, respectively, with peak market penetrations of 30% in the U.S. by 2034 and 15% in the EU by 2035.
HC Wainwright estimates peak sales for bot/bal in third-line MSS-CRC of ~$929 million by 2038.
Baird maintains Agenus with a Neutral, raising the price target from $4 to $6.

Shares of several semiconductor companies are trading higher amid GlobalFoundries' announcement to commit $16 billion towards US chip expansion, which may be buoying investor sentiment towards the space.

JP Morgan analyst Mark R Murphy <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/DOCU/analyst-ratings" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">maintained a Neutral rating</a> on DocuSign, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DOCU#NASDAQ">DOCU</a>) with a price forecast of $81 on Tuesday.
Heading into DocuSign&#8217;s fiscal first-quarter earnings report, Murphy maintained a cautiously optimistic view, expecting the company to deliver relatively stable execution despite a dynamic-but-manageable macro environment.
The analyst noted that DocuSign&#8217;s recent pattern of fairly conservative guidance sets the company up well to deliver upside to current fiscal first-quarter estimates, while still likely allowing it to maintain some cushion for the back-half of the year to account for ongoing macroeconomic and geopolitical volatility.

He continues to sense a more balanced risk-reward profile for DocuSign in the medium term, with Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) traction continuing to drive some stabilization and improvement in growth rates. This is partially balanced by an inferior GAAP profitability framework amid an ongoing IAM investment cycle and some exposure to macro-sensitive end-markets.
Murphy noted that DocuSign is well positioned to meet or exceed its fiscal first-quarter guidance bar, calling for +6% CC revenue and proforma billings growth. Both of these call for some deceleration versus the prior quarter, though they include some leap year impact.
While DocuSign may elect not to entirely pass through any fiscal first-quarter upside nor incremental currency favorability to the full-year guidance, similar to peers, the analyst noted this could create a favorable setup for the second half, particularly as IAM contributions continue to feather in. Partially balancing this, Murphy said that DocuSign&#8217;s fiscal 2026 outlook assumes consistent macro trends relative to when it was provided in mid-March. As a result, any degradation in underlying demand activity could exert some drag against ongoing improvements in the core business and go-to-market efforts.
While the analyst noted the potential for some continued variability in key metrics, such as customer adds and DNR, he continued to monitor for commentary related to envelopes sent and consumption, for which the company&#8217;s indications have been encouraging in recent quarters, to assess the underlying health of the core business, including in more macro-volatile verticals and geographies. In addition, coming off DocuSign Momentum, where the company highlighted new AI-driven products such as AI Contract Agents backed by its Iris AI engine, Murphy remains focused on DocuSign&#8217;s ability to drive further upsell and diversification from its core eSign base through newer features, likely to aid retention trends over time.
As a reminder, DocuSign also commented that it expects this IAM contribution to grow in fiscal 2026 and represent a &#8220;low-double-digit&#8221; percentage share of its total subscription recurring book of business (ARR) by the fiscal fourth quarter.
Overall, Murphy remains encouraged by the pacing of adoption for this broader IAM platform, which has aligned with his view of an accelerated adoption cycle relative to contract lifecycle management (CLM). 
He noted that much of the penetration today has been in the small and mid-market segments, with the enterprise segment and self-serve motion likely to ramp gradually as the year progresses.
As a reminder, DocuSign disclosed at its Momentum conference in April that over 10K customers had purchased IAM.
The analyst noted that IAM adoption by a &#8220;low-double-digit&#8221; share of the total Subs ARR base by year-end could drive a fairly meaningful uplift in the spending of existing eSign users, potentially resulting in a low-single-digit tailwind to growth trends in the medium-term.
Overall, Murphy noted this as a fairly tepid reading on balance when evaluated on a Y/Y growth basis, though he noted that these results for the first quarter land above five of the past ten quarters.
While an informative additional data point, he cautioned investors from over-indexing these web traffic figures, given the volatility in these metrics and an absence of supporting transaction-based trends within this data.
Murphy projected first-quarter revenue of $747 million and adjusted EPS of $0.82.
