Coinbase Global, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/COIN#NASDAQ">COIN</a>) continues to consolidate on Thursday. This comes after the stock <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/crypto/cryptocurrency/25/07/46248538/bitcoin-ethereum-solana-treasury-companies-need-to-manage-market-volatility-franklin-templeton-report-warns">gained about 35% in just two weeks</a>.
A flag pattern formed on the chart and could be a bullish dynamic. It is why Coinbase is the Stock of the Day.
Some people think technical analysis is like astrology or reading tea leaves. And for many analysts, it is. They look for patterns on charts without understanding the price action and trading dynamics that make them form.
If understood and applied correctly, technical analysis is the study of the supply and demand and psychology in a market.
For example, when the leadership of the market is changing, from bulls to bears or bears to bulls, a reversal pattern may appear on a chart. This can be a rounded pattern, a reversal day, a V pattern, or a double or triple top or bottom.

If the leadership changes slowly over an extended period of time the rounded pattern may form. If the change takes place in one day, a reversal day pattern may form. If a stock tests and fails at resistance or support before reversing, it could be a double or triple top or bottom.
A flag pattern is different. It is a continuation pattern. It indicates a break in a trend that will soon get back into gear.
As you can see on the chart, Coinbase made a large and rapid move higher. This resulted in large amounts of volume trading.
Some of the traders who were doing the buying decided that the stock had gotten ahead of itself. They left the market in hopes that the price would go back down so they could finish their buying at lower prices.
As a result of this, the stock traded sideways and the volume diminished. The key to the flag pattern is the lower volume. It is a characteristic of a break in a trend.
There is a good chance Coinbase breaks out of the upside of this pattern and starts to move higher again.

Stock Of The Day: Classic Flag Pattern In Coinbase?

Amazon.com (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AMZN#NASDAQ">AMZN</a>) is underperforming its <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/amazon" rel="noreferrer noopener">tech peers in 2025</a>, trailing the broader market amid intensifying competition in artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure.
While the S&amp;P 500 has gained around 7% year-to-date and the Nasdaq-100 has risen by 9%, Amazon shares are up just under 2%, underwhelming against the backdrop of a high-growth AI cycle.
Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MSFT#NASDAQ">MSFT</a>), in contrast, has surged over 19% driven by strong Azure growth and AI integration across products. Microsoft&#8217;s success is partly due to its existing enterprise relationships and strategic AI investments, particularly in OpenAI, which have integrated well with Azure&#8217;s offerings.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Amazon&#8217;s Expanding Footprint And Its AI Bet</h2>
Amazon, which began as an online bookstore, has grown into a sprawling conglomerate spanning e-commerce, cloud computing, advertising, streaming, and logistics. In the <a target="_blank" href="https://ir.aboutamazon.com/quarterly-results/default.aspx" rel="noreferrer noopener">last five years</a>, Amazon&#8217;s revenue from third-party seller services, advertising, subscription services, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) has all achieved double-digit growth.
AWS, which runs data centers and provides software tools, generated 16-17% of the company&#8217;s revenue in the last three years, accounting for ~60% or more of its operating income. In a bid to solidify its role in the AI infrastructure arms race, Amazon has committed $100 billion to <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/25/02/43550696/amazon-to-pour-nearly-100-billion-into-ai-in-2025-surpassing-microsoft-and-alphabet-andy-jassy-says-cost-of-inference-will-meaningfully-come-down-amid-deepseek-worries" rel="noreferrer noopener">artificial intelligence initiatives for 2025</a>, surpassing Google parent Alphabet Inc.&#8217;s (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GOOGL#NASDAQ">GOOGL</a>) (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GOOG#NASDAQ">GOOG</a>) $75 billion and Microsoft&#8217;s $80 billion.
AWS unit CEO Matt Garman <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/large-cap/25/05/45702458/amazon-expands-global-data-centers-boosts-access-to-nvidia-ai-chips-for-cloud-customers" rel="noreferrer noopener">told Bloomberg in</a> May that it is rapidly expanding its global server farm footprint and increasing access to Nvidia Corp&#8217;s (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NVDA#NASDAQ">NVDA</a>) latest AI chips. AWS opened a new data center cluster in Mexico in 2025 and is building additional facilities in Chile, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, and Taiwan.
Garman highlighted the strong demand for AI infrastructure and confirmed that AWS is working with Nvidia to grow its supply of GB200 semiconductors for customer testing. He also welcomed the opportunity to host OpenAI&#8217;s models on AWS.
Brian White of Monness Crespi Hardt emphasized AWS <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/03/44488542/amazons-ai-cloud-strategy-to-stay-strong-amid-near-term-turbulence-says-analyst-aws-remains-well-positioned-for-long-term-ai-trends" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">already benefits from</a> training large language models and expects that momentum to grow. White believes the platform is well-positioned for growth in AI inference, a rapidly expanding segment of the cloud market.
Mark Mahaney of Evercore ISI has named Amazon his top stock pick, citing &#8220;strong AI-driven cloud potential&#8221;. Wedbush&#8217;s Dan Ives noted rising enterprise demand for AI infrastructure, with Amazon among the top hyperscale providers alongside Microsoft and Google.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Robotics, Prime, And Profitability</h2>
Cost efficiency also remains in focus. Bank of America analysts estimate that Amazon&#8217;s integration of <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-stock-ratings/price-target/25/06/45727360/amazon-analyst-sees-robotics-unlocking-billions-in-savings" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">robotics and AI</a> could lead to $16 billion in annual cost savings by 2032. J.P. Morgan analyst Doug Anmuth identified Amazon Prime as the company&#8217;s most valuable strategic asset. He projected that Amazon is likely to raise the price of Prime membership in 2026, consistent with its historical four-year pricing pattern. Anmuth believes a $20 increase could yield $3 billion in annual revenue, without significantly affecting subscriber retention.
Amazon&#8217;s Prime Day 2025 event is scheduled to begin on July 8 and will run for four days, with deals across more than 35+ categories, including new segments like groceries and travel. Bank of America analyst Justin Post expects tools like Alexa+ and Rufus to drive Prime Day gross merchandise value to $21.4 billion, a 60% increase over the previous year.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Market Sentiment</h2>
Amazon.com currently has a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/AMZN/analyst-ratings" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">consensus price forecast</a> of $246 based on 39 analyst ratings. The highest forecast came from Tigress Financial, which set a forecast of $305 on May 6, 2025. Raymond James set the lowest forecast at $195 on April 21, 2025. These estimates average out to $246.67, indicating a potential upside of 10.54%.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Analyst Views On Microsoft&#8217;s AI Position</h2>
Analysts remain positive on Microsoft&#8217;s <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/07/46204491/microsofts-ai-and-cloud-scale-drives-market-beating-returns" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">long-term prospects</a> in AI. Derrick Wood of TD Cowen said the company is &#8220;well-positioned in key secular growth markets.&#8221; Brad Sills of Bank of America referred to Microsoft as &#8220;the leading AI player in applications and infrastructure.&#8221; Kash Rangan of Goldman Sachs forecast Microsoft Cloud revenue will surpass $300 billion by fiscal 2029, citing its AI pricing strategy. Dan Ives of Wedbush projected Microsoft will reach a $4 trillion market cap this summer and $5 trillion within 18 months, driven by AI momentum.

Why Amazon Lags Its Peers In 2025

ReNew Energy Global Plc ("ReNew" or the "Company") today announces that it has received a final non-binding offer dated July 2, 2025, from Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC-Masdar ("Masdar"), Canada Pension Plan Investment Board ("CPP Investments"), Platinum Hawk C 2019 RSC Limited as trustee for the Platinum Cactus A 2019 Trust ("Platinum Hawk") (a wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, "ADIA") and Sumant Sinha (the Founder, Chairman and CEO of ReNew) (together with Masdar, CPP Investments and Platinum Hawk, the "Consortium") to acquire the entire issued and to be issued share capital of the Company not already owned by members of the Consortium for cash consideration of US$8.00 per share. This represents an increase of US$0.93 per share, equivalent to 13.2%, from the initial non-binding proposal dated December 10, 2024. The final non-binding offer represents a 26.2% premium versus the undisturbed share price of US$6.34 on December 10, 2024, being the closing share price prior to the initial non-binding proposal becoming public and a 38.9% premium to the 30-day volume-weighted average price of US$5.76 per share (as of December 10, 2024).
As previously announced, the ReNew Board of Directors formed a Special Committee ("Special Committee") led by Manoj Singh, the Lead Independent Director, consisting of the six independent non-executive ReNew Directors to consider the proposals received from the Consortium.
The Special Committee is in the process of evaluating the final non-binding offer alongside its independent financial advisor, Rothschild &amp; Co and independent legal counsel, Linklaters LLP. Active discussions with the Consortium remain ongoing and the Special Committee will provide an update to the market as soon as reasonably practicable.
No assurance can be given regarding the likelihood, terms or details of a potential transaction resulting from the final non-binding offer received from the Consortium or any other potential transaction. Further decisions or disclosures by the Special Committee will be made as appropriate or required.

Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Dogecoin Hold Steady Ahead of Holiday Weekend — Ideal Time To Hedge Shorts

Webull Corp (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BULL#NASDAQ">BULL</a>) shares are moving lower after the company announced a $1 billion standby equity agreement Thursday <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/07/n46251836/webull-announces-1-billion-standby-equity-agreement">after the market close</a>.
What Happened: Webull announced that it secured a financing option through a standby equity purchase agreement with YA II PN, an investment fund managed by Yorkville Advisors.
The agreement gives the company an option to issue up to&nbsp;$1 billion&nbsp;in Class A ordinary shares to Yorkville over a three-year period. Yorkville will pay a 2.5% discount to the market price for any shares issued under the purchase agreement.
Webull said it intends to strategically use the purchase agreement to raise and deploy capital as it needs. 
&#8220;With access to capital available through the Purchase Agreement, Webull is well positioned to pursue new growth opportunities, such as product expansion, new asset classes, and geographic expansion,&#8221; said&nbsp;Anthony Denier, group president and U.S. CEO of Webull.

&#8220;Recent events, including the conflicts in Iran and Ukraine and the U.S. defense budget&#8217;s surpassing $1 trillion for the first time,&#8221; said Allspring Equity Teams &amp; Investment Analytics Team in comments to Benzinga. &#8220;The scenario reinforces our team&#8217;s fundamental view that: 1) defense spending is a growing budget priority in the U.S. and globally and 2) military superiority is being rapidly redefined by technology.&#8221;

&#8220;One key reason for the increase is the continuing war between Russia and Ukraine, which has resulted in increased defense spending by both the European Union and the United States,&#8221; said Andrew Prochnow, analyst-at-large at Tastylive, a streaming platform geared towards options traders. &#8220;Rising tensions in the Middle East have also contributed to this trend.&#8221;

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">RTX Corp.</h2>
RTX Corp. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/RTX#NYSE">RTX</a>), an Arlington, Virginia-based aerospace and defense company, is increasingly popping up on Wall Street charts at the moment.
&#8220;We bought RTX right around the inauguration of this administration, so we have a 12% return on our holding,&#8221; said Alexander Cook, portfolio manager at Optimist Capital. 
RTX is a large, broad-based entity encompassing Collins Aerospace, Pratt &amp; Whitney and Raytheon, which suits Cook just fine. &#8220;We like investments like these even outside of heightened risks,&#8221; he said. &#8220;RTX is a large cap dividend payer and more insulated when markets get overly frothy, we expect to see another 10% on this one over the next 6-9 months.&#8221;
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">CrowdStrike Holdings Inc.</h2>
Cybersecurity plays a crucial role in government and defense, particularly in safeguarding highly sensitive data, both during times of war and in times of peace. CrowdStrike&#8217;s (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CRWD#NASDAQ">CRWD</a>) stock price is $513 per share, but it&#8217;s holding its value, trading up 50% year-to-date. &#8220;Defense technology is going to be the best pure growth play going forward,&#8221; Cook said. &#8220;In a modern first-world scenario, boots on the ground are just not realistic.&#8221; He advises investors to view cybersecurity as the new defense. &#8220;Cybersecurity is all about protecting technology and looking for weaknesses in opposing entities rather than building missiles.&#8221;

The latter to which, I suppose, I am guilty.
