Revenue was $581 million versus estimates of $555 million.

As you can see on the chart, in February and early March levels around $58.50 were resistance for the stock. In September this resistance was broken. Then the stock eventually fell back to the $58.50 level that was previously resistance converted into support.
The same thing happened at the $53.70 level. It was resistance in July and converted to support at the beginning of September.
At the end of September, the $68.40 level was resistance — and now it has become a support level.

Price levels resistant converting into support is a common occurrence in not just the stock markets, but in all financial markets.
It happens because of &#8220;seller's remorse.&#8221;
There are investors and traders who sell while the stock is at resistance who think they made a good decision if the price trends lower after. But if the trend reverses, the resistance is broken and the price moves higher, many who sold come to regret their decision to do so.
Some of these remorseful sellers vow to buy their shares back.
But they will only do so if they can buy them for the same price they were sold. So as a result, if the stock eventually falls back to the selling price they place buy orders.
If there are enough of these orders it will cause support to form at the price that had previously been resistance.
If a stock is trending lower and a trader is looking for insight into where to buy it, they should look at price levels that had previously been resistance. There is a good chance the stock finds support at them. They may even reverse and rally.

Stock Of The Day: Why Would Resistance For Zillow Turn Into Support?

Starting in 2025, students at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco will be able to pursue a unique academic path: a bachelor's degree in psychedelics studies. This marks the first time an accredited institution in the United States has offered an undergraduate degree focused on <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/psychedelics">hallucinogenic drugs</a>. As The San Francisco Standard <a href="https://sfstandard.com/2024/11/06/psychedelic-major-degree-undergraduate-ciis/">reported</a>, the program aims to prepare students for careers in <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/psychedelic-assisted-therapies">psychedelic therapy</a>, integrating psychology, anthropology and neuroscience to explore psychedelics&#8217; role in therapy and society.
Nick Walker, a psychology professor at CIIS who helped design the curriculum, described the program as the result of years of development. "We have incorporated psychology, cultural anthropology, neuroscience, a lot of different angles," Walker explained. One module explores the history of hallucinogens, including <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cannabis/23/04/31704770/exclusive-the-importance-of-attaining-a-decolonized-perspective-of-psychedelics-therapy">colonialism&#8217;s impact</a> on psychedelics tourism, reflecting the program&#8217;s interdisciplinary approach. CIIS aims to give students a broader, more nuanced understanding of psychedelics beyond recreation.
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">A Response To Growing Demand In Psychedelic Therapy</h3>
The new degree comes amid a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cannabis/24/11/41761516/americans-favor-psilocybin-for-mental-health-treatment-study-finds">broader wave of interest in psychedelic therapies</a>, which have shown promise in treating conditions like depression, PTSD and addiction. As <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/psychedelics-research">researchers continue to publish promising results</a>, the market for psychedelic therapies is <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cannabis/24/10/41589487/global-psychedelic-drugs-market-expected-to-reach-10-2b-by-2028-amid-growing-mental-health-crise">expected to exceed $4.6 billion by 2030</a>, driving a need for professionals trained in the therapeutic application of these substances.
Until now, CIIS and other universities like Berkeley and Columbia have <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cannabis/24/02/37394447/beckley-academys-open-source-psychedelic-therapy-learning-framework-is-out-whats-it-all-about-au">offered certification programs</a>, but these have been limited to medical professionals and licensed therapists. This new undergraduate program, however, will introduce students to psychedelic studies without the need for previous clinical experience.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Ethics And Boundaries In Psychedelic Studies</h3>
Ethical considerations are central to CIIS's approach. The curriculum includes immersive experiences and role-playing to help students understand altered states without direct drug use. "This is the first Bachelor of Science in psychedelic studies. That's what the diplomas will say," Walker said. However, he emphasized that the degree is not a professional training program in psychedelic therapy. "If they want to be a psychedelic-assisted therapist, they're going to have to go to grad school and get licensed."
Following past controversies, CIIS has strengthened ethical standards. After a 2021 <a href="https://www.thecut.com/2021/11/cover-story-podcast-goes-into-world-of-psychedelic-therapy.html">podcast</a> exposed alleged misconduct by instructors in psychedelic-assisted therapy, CIIS terminated their contracts and now requires faculty and students to sign an integrity agreement prohibiting romantic relationships with clients. While the scandal wasn&#8217;t directly addressed at the program&#8217;s launch, the importance of consent in therapy was emphasized.&nbsp;
"Touch in psychedelic psychotherapy is really cutting edge, but it's high risk, high reward," said CIIS psychology professor Jason Butler, a panelist at the launch event and <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/ketamine-therapy">ketamine-assisted therapy</a> specialist. "A number of ethical violations have surfaced. … We need to talk about consent before any psychedelic medicine is ingested."
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Expanding Offerings in Psychedelic Therapy Training</h3>
The new CIIS degree program is not the only new development on the horizon. In 2025, the institute will also launch a ketamine-assisted therapy clinic staffed by graduate students who are licensed clinicians. The clinic will offer supervised experience in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, a booming treatment in mental health care.
As Walker summarized, "Whatever our graduates end up doing, we hope they'll bring with them high levels of understanding, cultural humility, intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and ethical integrity."

The Federal Reserve lowered interest rates by 0.25 percentage points on Thursday, as widely anticipated by the market, bringing the federal funds rate to a target range of 4.5% to 4.75%, the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/interest-rates">lowest since February 2023. </a>
With this decision, the Fed slowed the pace of rate cuts compared to September, when policymakers opted for a more substantial 0.5% cut to initiate the easing cycle.
The Fed's November policy statement continued to highlight that the economy has expanded at a &#8220;solid pace,&#8221; job growth &#8220;has generally eased&#8221; and inflation &#8220;has made further progress&#8221; toward the 2% target, although it remains &#8220;somewhat elevated.&#8221;
The Personal Consumption Expenditure (PCE) inflation rate eased to 2.1% year-over-year in September 2024, marking its smallest increase since February 2021. The Fed&#8217;s preferred inflation measure, the core PCE price index, which excludes food and energy, remained steady at 2.7%.
Yet the November statement surprisingly omitted a line from September that stated: &#8220;The Committee has gained greater confidence that inflation is moving sustainably toward 2 percent and judges that the risks to achieving its employment and inflation goals are roughly in balance.&#8221;
The Fed reiterated a data-driven approach and highlighted the need to monitor economic implications for future policy decisions, refraining from committing to a predetermined path.
The next Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting is scheduled for December 18, 2024.
Financial markets are placing a 66% probability on another 25-basis-point cut at the year's final meeting, as per CME FedWatch, though expectations have dropped significantly following this week&#8217;s election results.
Market attention now shifts to Fed Chair Jerome Powell's press conference at 2:30 p.m. ET. 
Powell is expected to face questions on potential inflationary pressures from Trump&#8217;s trade tariffs and anticipated higher budget deficits and how the Fed might respond to changes in the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/equities/24/11/41785495/us-treasuries-take-sharpest-plunge-in-a-year-ahead-of-fed-meeting-could-powell-adjust-stance-in-">economic and political landscape</a>.

The Details: Dutch Bros stock soared about 15% after the market closed on Wednesday following the release of the company&#8217;s third-quarter earnings, which included adjusted earnings per share of 16 cents, beating analyst estimates of 12 cents.
In addition, the company reported sales of $338.21 million, beating analyst estimates of $325.14 million. Dutch Bros&#8217; top-line results were up about 28% year-over-year. The company also reported company-operated shop revenues of $308.3 million, representing a 30% year-over-year increase.
The company reported adjusted EBITDA of $63.8 million, compared to $53 million in the same period last year. Dutch Bros also reported adjusted selling, general and administrative expenses totaling $57.5 million.
Throughout the third quarter, Dutch Bros opened 38 new stores across 11 states with 33 of those stores being company-operated.
&#8220;We believe our refined real estate strategy is working, as we are seeing strong new shop productivity as we have shifted our development focus and elevated our site selection process,&#8221; said Dutch Bros CEO Christine Barone.
&#8220;We continue to demonstrate remarkable consistency in our shop opening cadence with 38 shop openings in the&nbsp;third quarter. We are making major investments in our development and construction teams and our 2025 pipeline is strong, positioning us to accelerate new shop growth.&#8221;
Dutch Bros also raised its guidance for the full year above estimates. The company now expects revenue between $1.25 billion and $1.26 billion, versus analyst estimates of $1.23 billion. Dutch Bros previously guided for revenue of $1.21 billion to $1.23 billion.
Additionally, Dutch Bros said it expects adjusted EBITDA of $215 million to $220 million, up from its prior outlook of $200 million to $210 million.
