As the election certification process is underway, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) has urged for calmness amidst the heightened emotions and misinformation.

&#8220;There's just too much emotion, too much misinformation out there. Everybody needs to calm down,&#8221; said Johnson.
Johnson urged citizens to perform their &#8220;civic duty&#8221; and participate in an &#8220;American election&#8221; that will be certified. He expressed confidence in a second Trump term and a Republican-controlled Congress, stating the election will be &#8220;too big to rig&#8221;.
&#8220;I think President Trump's going to win today and I think we're going to win the Senate and the House, so we're excited,&#8221; said the House Speaker.
