<a href="https://api.newsfilecorp.com/redirect/QOLzyfBE7P">BioHarvest Sciences Inc.</a> (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BHST#NASDAQ">BHST</a>) (FSE: 8MV0) ("BioHarvest" or the "Company"), a company pioneering its patented Botanical Synthesis technology platform, today announced that the Company's Botanical Synthesis CDMO Services division has secured a new contract to develop a plant-based fragrance compound derived from a plant that is under significant threat due to over harvesting and habitat loss. This agreement is with a new commercial partner targeting the multi-billion-dollar fragrance and scents market.
Ahead of the signing of this Stage 1 contract, BioHarvest leveraged its advanced AI-assisted research capabilities to identify the specific plant species most likely to develop into the required cell bank for future efficient production of the targeted fragrance and scent molecules. Stage 1 of the contract utilizes the Company's proprietary Botanical Synthesis platform to mirror, magnify and multiply the plant's targeted cells in petri dishes. A successful outcome of Stage 1 would be a customer decision to advance the compound to Stage 2, which involves production of the compound in liquid media, a necessary step towards potential future volume manufacturing.
The agreement is structured with milestone-based payments and includes a non-disclosure agreement covering Stage 1. This new contract builds on BioHarvest's growing CDMO portfolio and demonstrates the versatility of its platform to address new verticals, including the multi-billion-dollar fragrance and scents market.

Alibaba Group Holding Co Ltd (NYSE: <a href="https://x.com/Barchart/status/1925023874669789296">BABAF) (NYSE: </a>BABA) <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/BABA/earnings">has grown revenue</a> by a staggering 1,521% over the past decade, but its stock price has barely flinched &#8211; up just 20% in the same span, Barchart <a href="https://x.com/Barchart/status/1925023874669789296">reported</a>. Now, Alibaba is hoping that a little AI magic can finally get the market&#8217;s attention.
The company just rolled out ZEROSEARCH, a framework<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/global/25/05/45536373/alibaba-says-it-can-slash-ai-training-costs-by-90-with-newly-launched-zerosearch-heres-what-it-does"> it claims</a> can slash AI training costs by as much as 90%. Instead of relying on expensive API calls during training, Alibaba's large language models simulate search behavior internally. If the math holds, that could dramatically cut the cost and time required to build and scale AI models &#8211; an edge in a hyper-competitive space.
But while ZEROSEARCH makes headlines, the real drama may be unfolding on the chart.

Alibaba stock, at $125.16, trades above its 20-day Simple Moving Average (SMA) of $118.03 and its 50-day SMA of $99.17. Meanwhile, the 50-day is closing in fast on the 200-day SMA of $99.58. That sets the stage for a Golden Cross&#8211; a bullish technical pattern where the 50-day SMA overtakes the 200-day.
A golden cross doesn't guarantee liftoff but is a powerful sentiment shift. It suggests long-term buying pressure is returning, and many institutional traders treat it as a green light for accumulation.
The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) is at 7.46, signaling upward momentum. The MACD line (blue) has recently dropped below its signal line (red) which could spell caution. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) reads 57.93 &#8211; comfortably neutral, meaning the stock isn't overbought and still has room to run.
For a stock that's spent years grinding sideways despite eye-popping growth, ZEROSEARCH may finally be arriving at the right time. With a golden cross on deck, Alibaba bulls could get the technical validation they've been waiting for.

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/WSM#NYSE">WSM</a>) will release earnings results for the first quarter, before the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/WSM/earnings">opening bell on Thursday, May 22.</a>
Analysts expect the San Francisco, California-based company to report quarterly earnings at $1.76 per share, up from $1.74 per share in the year-ago period. Williams-Sonoma projects to report quarterly revenue at $1.67 billion, compared to $1.66 billion a year earlier, according to data from <a href="https://pro.benzinga.com/dashboard">Benzinga Pro</a>.
On Monday, Barclays analyst Seth Sigman upgraded the stock from Underweight to Equal-Weight and raised the price target from $131 to $166.
With the recent buzz around Williams-Sonoma, some investors may be eyeing potential gains from the company's dividends too. As of now, Williams-Sonoma offers an annual dividend yield of 1.53%. That&#8217;s a quarterly dividend amount of 66 cents per share ($2.64 a year).  
So, how can investors exploit its dividend yield to pocket a regular $500 monthly?
To earn $500 per month or $6,000 annually from dividends alone, you would need an investment of approximately $392,138 or around 2,273 shares. For a more modest $100 per month or $1,200 per year, you would need $78,497 or around 455 shares.
To calculate: Divide the desired annual income ($6,000 or $1,200) by the dividend ($2.64 in this case). So, $6,000 / $2.64 = 2,273 ($500 per month), and $1,200 / $2.64 = 455 shares ($100 per month).
Note that dividend yield can change on a rolling basis, as the dividend payment and the stock price both fluctuate over time.
How that works: The dividend yield is computed by dividing the annual dividend payment by the stock&#8217;s current price.
For example, if a stock pays an annual dividend of $2 and is currently priced at $50, the dividend yield would be 4% ($2/$50). However, if the stock price increases to $60, the dividend yield drops to 3.33% ($2/$60). Conversely, if the stock price falls to $40, the dividend yield rises to 5% ($2/$40).
Similarly, changes in the dividend payment can impact the yield. If a company increases its dividend, the yield will also increase, provided the stock price stays the same. Conversely, if the dividend payment decreases, so will the yield.
WSM Price Action: Shares of Williams-Sonoma fell 1% to close at $172.52 on Tuesday.

How To Earn $500 A Month From Williams-Sonoma Stock Ahead Of Q1 Earnings

Dividend Increase: Effective May 20, the company&#8217;s board approved an increase in cash dividend per share by 1.4% to 71 cents for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026
The dividend is payable on&nbsp;July 11, 2025, to shareholders of record as of&nbsp;June 27, 2025.

Diabetes Business Separation: Medtronic disclosed its intention to separate its Diabetes <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/05/n45538032/medtronic-announces-intent-to-separate-diabetes-business" rel="noreferrer noopener">business into a new standalone company</a>.
This move aims to create a more focused entity with a streamlined portfolio concentrated on high-margin growth markets.
The separation, expected within 18 months, will occur through capital markets transactions, with an initial public offering (IPO) followed by a split-off as the preferred method.

Target registered adjusted earnings per share of $1.30, missing analysts&#8217; consensus estimate of $1.64. Quarterly sales of $23.85 billion (down 2.8% year over year) missed the Street view of $24.32 billion.
&#8220;While our sales fell short of our expectations, we saw several bright spots in the quarter, including healthy digital growth, led by a 36 percent increase in same-day delivery through Target Circle 360, and our strongest designer collaboration in more than a decade, kate spade for Target,&#8221; said&nbsp;Brian Cornell, chair and chief executive officer of Target Corporation.&nbsp;

Comparable sales decreased 3.8% in the first quarter, reflecting a comparable store sales decline of 5.7% and comparable digital sales growth of 4.7%.
The quarterly gross margin rate was 28.2%, lower than 28.8% in the year-ago period, due to the net impact of merchandising activities, including higher markdown rates, digital fulfillment and supply chain costs.
Target&#8217;s operating income gained 13.6% year over year to $1.472 billion.
Operating margin&nbsp;was 6.2 percent in 2025, compared with 5.3 percent in 2024.&nbsp; Excluding&nbsp;the litigation settlement gains, the operating income margin rate was 3.7 percent in the quarter under review.&nbsp;&nbsp;
The company said it has established an acceleration office led by&nbsp;Michael Fiddelke to enable faster decisions and execution of its core strategic initiatives in support of a return to growth.
As of the end of the quarter, Target had approximately&nbsp;$8.4 billion&nbsp;of remaining capacity under the repurchase program approved by the company&#8217;s board of directors in&nbsp;August 2021.
The company exited the quarter with cash and equivalents worth $2.887 billion. Inventory totaled $13.048 billion.
Target&#8217;s long-term debt and other borrowings expanded to $14.334 billion, compared with $13.487 billion a year ago.
In a separate release, the company said that Christina Hennington, chief strategy and growth officer, will depart Target and move into a strategic <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/05/n45537767/target-corporation-announces-multi-year-enterprise-acceleration-office" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">advisor role through Sept. 7, 2025.</a> Jim Lee, chief financial officer, will take on leadership of Target&#8217;s enterprise strategy and partnerships.
Outlook: Target lowered its FY2025 adjusted EPS guidance from $8.80–$9.80 to $7.00–$9.00 versus the $8.48 estimate and saw a sales decline in the low single digits.
Target also revised its FY2025 GAAP EPS guidance from $8.80–$9.80 to $8.00–$10.00.
Price Action: TGT shares are trading lower by 2.58% to $95.59 at last check Wednesday.
