Coinbase Global (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/COIN#NASDAQ">COIN</a>) reported fourth-quarter financial results <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/earnings">after the market close Thursday.</a>
Here are the key highlights.
What Happened: Coinbase reported fourth-quarter revenue of $2.3 billion, up 88% quarter-over-quarter. The revenue figure beat a Street consensus estimate of $1.83 billion, according to data <a href="https://bzresearch.myclickfunnels.com/benzinga-pro-content-webinar-registration/?utm_source=BZprocontent021325&amp;t=be2bearmibe3na1">from Benzinga Pro.</a>
The company saw transaction revenue of $1.6 billion, up 172% quarter-over-quarter in the fourth quarter. Subscription and services revenue was $641 million, up 15% quarter-over-quarter and beating the company's guidance of a range of $505 million to $580 million.
Consumer trading volume was $94 billion in the fourth quarter, up 176% quarter-over-quarter. The company said this growth outpaced the U.S. spot market, which was up 126% quarter-over-quarter.
The company&#8217;s fourth-quarter GAAP earnings per share were $4.68 versus a Street consensus estimate of $1.81. 
Coinbase added several new cryptocurrencies to trade in the fourth quarter, with Pepe Coin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/">PEPE</a>) and dogwifhat (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/">WIF</a>) highlighted in the report.
Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) made up the largest share of trading volume and transaction revenue at 27% and 27%, respectively. These figures were down from 37% and 35%, respectively, in the third quarter.
Ethereum (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/eth/usd">ETH</a>) made up 10% of trading volume in the quarter for Coinbase and 10% of transaction revenue, down from 15% and 13%, respectively, in the third quarter.
XRP Token (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/xrp/usd">XRP</a>) made up 14% of transaction revenue in the fourth quarter.
Coinbase had revenue of $6.6 billion for the full fiscal year, which was up 111% year-over-year. Full-year transaction revenue was $4 billion, up 162% year-over-year.

What's Next: Coinbase said it is seeing strong momentum thanks to regulatory clarity and a new White House administration, along with record high prices for several cryptocurrencies.
"It's the dawn of a new era for crypto. Crypto's voice was heard loud and clear in the U.S. elections," the company said.
The company said Donald Trump&#8216;s administration is moving fast to "fulfill its promise of making the U.S. the crypto capital of the planet."
Coinbase said it will double down on building, something it said it does best.
"Our goals in 2025 are to drive revenue, drive utility, and scale our foundations."
The company is guiding for first-quarter subscription and services revenue in a range of $685 million to $765 million.
Through Feb. 11, the company said it had transaction revenue of $750 million.
COIN Price Action: Coinbase stock is up 3.5% to $308.53 in after-hours trading Thursday versus a 52-week trading range of $146.14 to $349.75. Coinbase shares were up 8.4% to $298.11 during Thursday's trading session.

("BLAC") announced today the approval of each of the proposals presented at the special meeting of its stockholders (the "Special Meeting") held today, including the proposal for the business combination with OSR Holdings Co., Ltd. Perot, a self-made billionaire and founder of Electronic Data Systems, was interested in investing in NeXT. But he was also known for his no-nonsense, frugal approach to business. Jobs feared that if Perot saw him and his colleague Randy Adams driving flashy Porsche 911 Turbos, he might assume NeXT didn't need funding. So, in a moment of panic, Jobs ran into Adams&#8217; office and blurted out, &#8220;Randy, we have to hide the Porsches!&#8221; The software engineer, who also owned a Porsche 911 Turbo, looked up, puzzled. "Ross Perot is coming to see us, and I don't want him to think we have that much money."
The two quickly moved their cars out of sight before Perot arrived. Whether the billionaire would have cared or not, the strategy worked – Perot ended up investing $20 million in NeXT, securing the company's survival. He even sat on the board, believing in Jobs' vision for revolutionizing education through technology.

That investment may have seemed like a loss for Perot at the time – NeXT never became a massive success. However, a decade later, Apple bought NeXT for $400 million, bringing Jobs back into the company he founded. The software NeXT developed became the foundation for macOS and, later, iOS, which now powers the iPhone and iPad.
Jobs&#8217; love for the Porsche 911 never faded, but his need to hide it that day played a small yet pivotal role in Apple's incredible comeback. Without that $20 million from Perot, the trajectory of the tech world might have looked very different. Whether Jobs ever told Perot about the great Porsche hideout remains a mystery, but one thing is certain – sometimes, even a perfectionist has to bend the truth to make a deal happen.

This is a 23.08 percent decrease over earnings of $0.13 per share from the same period last year. Quantum Corporation(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/QMCO#NASDAQ">QMCO</a>) stock are trading lower Thursday after the company reported a fiscal third-quarter earnings miss and issued weaker-than-expected <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/QMCO/earnings">guidance for the fourth quarter. </a>
What To Know: The company posted a GAAP net loss of $71.4 million, or $14.56 per share, significantly worse than the prior year&#8217;s $9.9 million loss. A large portion of this was due to a $61.6 million non-cash adjustment related to warrant liabilities.
Despite a revenue increase to $72.6 million and a 230 basis point sequential improvement in gross margins, Quantum&#8217;s outlook remains concerning. The company expects fourth-quarter revenue of $66 million, below market expectations, and a non-GAAP net loss per share of $1.16. Adjusted EBITDA guidance for the quarter is just $1.7 million, a decline from this quarter&#8217;s $4.7 million.
Quantum is working on reducing its debt and improving liquidity. It recently entered a standby equity purchase agreement with Yorkville Advisors, allowing it to raise capital without a mandatory stock issuance. As of Dec. 31, Quantum had $105.9 million in outstanding term loan debt and $37.5 million in borrowings on its revolving credit facility.
