(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) has announced November 6 as the date for the company's annual shareholder meeting amid mounting pressure from investors who are concerned about Elon Musk's political ambitions and mounting tensions with President Donald Trump.

What Happened: "The board of directors of Tesla has designated November 6, 2025 as the date of Tesla's 2025 annual meeting of shareholders," a filing by the EV giant with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission or SEC showed on Thursday.
The company will also present its proxy statement during the meeting, the filing shows.

Amid the news hitting the wires, Wedbush Securities analyst Dan Ives weighed in on the matter in a post on social media platform X on Thursday. "Now the Musk new pay package will be the focus," Ives said in the post.
The pay package in question reportedly stands at over $56 billion, which was awarded to Musk following Tesla&#8217;s growth, a Reuters report from March suggests. The Tesla board approved Musk&#8217;s pay package, which could be among the highest CEO payouts ever, on two separate occasions.
Musk&#8217;s pay package was awarded to the CEO in 2018. However, a member of the Tesla board had filed a lawsuit objecting to the compensation for Musk. A court ruling in Delaware, Texas, rejected the pay package last year. Musk has since appealed to restore it.

Why It Matters: The date for the investors' meeting comes in after the Tesla BoD faced pressure from shareholders, with a group of 27 investors recently writing a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/07/46335587/tesla-investors-call-for-shareholder-meeting-amid-elon-musk-trump-feud-declining-sales-report">letter to the board</a>, urging it to set up a date for the annual shareholder meeting.
Tesla has also been under fire from analysts, with Gerber Kawasaki's co-founder Ross Gerber slamming Musk, claiming that the CEO has "<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/07/46337215/tesla-is-basically-hijacked-by-elon-musk-says-ross-gerber-calling-it-completely-ridiculous-america-party-is-the-worst-news-for-tsla">hijacked the company</a>" and that his America Party will be "an abject failure."
Ives, who has maintained Bullish views on the company, also called on the Tesla board to set up a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-stock-ratings/analyst-color/25/07/46305934/musk-tells-tesla-analyst-dan-ives-to-shut-up-but-hes-not-backing-down-this-is-the-time-for-a-plan">25% voting control for Musk</a> and maintain oversight of his involvement in politics.

Tesla's Annual Shareholder Meeting Set For November 6th, Dan Ives Says Elon Musk's $56 Billion Pay Package 'Will Be The Focus'

The CNN Money Fear and Greed index showed some improvement in the overall market sentiment, while the index remained in the &#8220;Extreme Greed&#8221; zone on Thursday.
U.S. stocks settled higher on Thursday, with the S&amp;P 500 closing at an all-time high level during the session. A day earlier, President Donald Trump announced sweeping 50% tariffs on imports from Brazil and confirmed the 50% tariff on copper, effective Aug. 1.
Delta Air Lines Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DAL#NYSE">DAL</a>) surged around 12% on Thursday after posting second-quarter results that topped both earnings and revenue expectations, while indicating a strong demand outlook, sparking a broad rally across the airline sector.
On the economic data front, the U.S. labor market continued to show resilience as initial jobless claims dropped to 237,000 last week, beating forecasts. However, continuing claims rose to 1.965 million, the highest level since 2021.
Most sectors on the S&amp;P 500 closed on a positive note, with consumer discretionary, utilities and energy stocks recording the biggest gains on Thursday. However, communication services and information technology stocks bucked the overall market trend, closing the session lower.
The Dow Jones closed higher by 192 points to 44,650.64 on Thursday. The S&amp;P 500 rose 0.27% to 6,280.46, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.09% to 20,630.66 during Thursday's session.
What is CNN Business Fear &amp; Greed Index?
At a current reading of 76.5, the index remained in the &#8220;Extreme Greed&#8221; zone on Thursday, versus a prior reading of 75.2.
The Fear &amp; Greed Index is a measure of the current market sentiment. It is based on the premise that higher fear exerts pressure on stock prices, while higher greed has the opposite effect. The index is calculated based on seven equal-weighted indicators. The index ranges from 0 to 100, where 0 represents maximum fear and 100 signals maximum greediness.

Sen.&nbsp;Elizabeth Warren&nbsp;(D-Mass.) criticized President Donald Trump&#8217;s push for cryptocurrency legislation on Thursday, alleging that it serves his personal interests.
What Happened: During an interview with MSNBC, Warren&nbsp;said that the cryptocurrency industry wants Trump to lift the market, similar to how he was &#8220;hawking&#8221; Elon Musk&#8217;s <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/25/03/44240714/trump-says-he-will-buy-a-brand-new-tesla-to-support-elon-musk-as-stock-falls-over-53-erasing-nearly-800-billion-in-investor-wealth-since-december-peak">cars at one point</a>.
&#8220;They want Trump not just to hawk their individual product. They want his support and the Republicans in Congress&#8217;s support to build an infrastructure that will let them rake in literally billions and billions of dollars,&#8221; the senior Democrat said.
Warren stated that no elected official should be able to buy, sell and profit from cryptocurrency.

&#8220;We do need crypto regulation. There&#8217;s enough value money changing hands around us right now,&#8221; Warren remarked. &#8220;But that crypto regulation, for example, needs to have basic consumer protections.&#8221;
The lawmaker said that Trump is pushing for cryptocurrency legislation to &#8220;keep lining his own pocket&#8221; and reiterated that no laws should be passed without addressing his conflict of interest.
The White House didn&#8217;t immediately return Benzinga&#8217;s request for comment on these allegations.
