Intuit also raised its full-year guidance. The company expects full-year 2025 revenue of $18.72 billion to $18.76 billion, up from prior guidance of $18.16 billion and $18.35 billion. A <a href="https://landreport.com/land-report-100/bill-gates">2025 Land Report</a> named him the largest private farmland owner in the U.S., with 275,000 acres under his name—248,000 acres of it active farmland across at least 17 states. That makes him No. 1 in farmland and the 43rd largest landowner overall when factoring in non-agricultural holdings.

Much of that land was acquired in just a few massive transactions. As first <a href="https://landreport.com/farmer-bill-gates">detailed in the 2021 Land Report</a>, Gates made major purchases between 2017 and 2018, including a $520 million deal with the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and a separate $171 million acquisition of the 100 Circles Acreage in Washington's Horse Heaven Hills.&nbsp;
Together, those deals topped $690 million and formed the foundation of his national portfolio. Other notable acquisitions include 20,000 acres across 19 Nebraska counties for $113 million, 14,828 acres in Florida, 16,097 acres in Washington, and even a lone acre in New Mexico.

Needham analyst Bernie McTernan reiterated Wix.com with a Buy and a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/WIX/analyst-ratings" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">$250 price target</a> on Thursday.
Piper Sandler analyst Clarke Jeffries maintained Wix.com with an Overweight and lowered the price target from $262 to $225 on Thursday.
Cantor Fitzgerald&#8217;s Deepak Mathivanan reiterated Wix.com with an Overweight and a $200 price target on Wednesday.
Citizens analyst Andrew Boone maintained a Market Outperform rating and a $250 price target on Wednesday.
Needham: Wix beat the high end of its revenue guidance in first-quarter, noting strong cohort trends, McTernan said. However, second-quarter guidance calls for a deceleration, even at the high end of guidance. Though it pointed to strong cohort trends quarter to date, presumably with the lower-than-expected revenue guide driven by difficult comparisons and conservative macro assumptions, the analyst said. He said the company reiterated its guidance for the year, which includes the expectations of an acceleration in the second half of 2025. The latter part of the guidance was a particular focus for investors. Wix expects to achieve these results from underlying cohort strength, which will accelerate Partner trends in the second half and a deceleration in Self-Creator from first-quarter growth levels, per the analyst.
McTernan projected second-quarter adjusted EPS of $1.84.
Piper Sandler: Wix reported revenue of $473.7 million, representing 13% Y/Y growth, just above street estimates of $472.0 million, Jeffries noted. Creative Subscriptions grew 11% to $337.7 million, while Business Solutions was again a source of weakness, with growth slowing to 17.7% Y/Y from 21.5% last quarter, the analyst said. Given that Partners revenue accounts for ~50% of GPV, it also slowed Q/Q to 24.0% Y/Y growth from 29.2% growth last quarter, coming to $171.6 million of revenue in the quarter, he said. He said implied self-creator revenue was $302.0 million, growing 7.3% versus 6.8% last quarter. As per the analyst, free cash flow results were strongest versus consensus at $142.4 million (representing a 30% margin) versus Street at $135.4 million.
Jeffries projected second-quarter adjusted EPS of $1.76.
Cantor Fitzgerald: Wix reported first-quarter results with revenue in-line and free cash flow above Street estimates by 4%, Mathivanan noted. The analyst said the total booking growth of +12% Y/Y came one pt ahead of Street. At a segment level, Partners revenue decelerated 5-pts to +24% Y/Y while Self Create growth remained relatively stable at +7% Y/Y, he noted. He said that guidance for second-quarter revenues of +11-12% Y/Y came in line with prior Street expectations at the high end. More importantly, Wix maintained its fiscal 2025 bookings outlook (+11-13% Y/Y) despite dissipating FX headwinds, factoring in incremental macro conservatism, Mathivanan said. Taking a step back, he added that innovation remains healthy as Wix continues to roll out new AI-powered products over the past several months (Wixel, Astro, Wix functions, Wix automation).
Mathivanan projected second-quarter adjusted EPS of $1.52.
Citizens: Boone said Wix reported better-than-expected quarterly results with bookings and revenue 1% above consensus, and free cash flow came in ~5% above consensus. However, second-quarter revenue came in 1% below consensus, and with 2025 guidance unchanged, guidance is now more second-half-loaded, the analyst noted. Partners revenue, a key growth driver for the last eight quarters, decelerated 5 points to +24% Y/Y as it had a 2-point FX headwind and was impacted by slowing GPV, he said. More positively, Boone said the top of the funnel was healthy as new users were 7% larger than last year, while Wix continues to focus on high-intent and commerce-led users. He noted that Wix&#8217;s product cadence appears to have accelerated over the previous year, with Wixel and AI Site Chat recently being brought to market. With industry rationality continuing, AI improving efficiency at Wix itself, and new products helping to sustain growth, Boone said that free cash flow can continue to surprise the upside. At the same time, the company buys back more shares.
Boone projected second-quarter adjusted EPS of $1.38.
Price Action: WIX stock is trading higher by 0.93% to $153.75 at last check Thursday.

Although artificial intelligence specialist SoundHound AI Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SOUN#NASDAQ">SOUN</a>) represents one of the more innovative entities in the broader digitalization movement, it's also fair to point out that its equity suffers from wild valuation swings. For example, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/SOUN">SOUN stock</a> has nearly doubled in value over the past year. But from the beginning of this year, it's down 51%. Still, the volatility also facilitates opportunity for speculators.
Recently, SOUN stock has pulled back from a swing in positive momentum last week. Much of the choppiness has been centered on SoundHound's <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/25/05/45498678/soundhound-ai-stock-slides-after-strong-monthly-rally-mixed-q1-results">mixed performance in the first quarter</a>. On May 8, the tech specialist — which specializes in conversational assistance and voice-enabled applications — posted revenue of $29.13 million.
By comparison to last year, the sales tally represented 151% growth, an achievement sparked by strategic acquisitions and strong demand from the automotive and restaurant sectors. While encouraging, the end result missed analysts' consensus target of $30.38 million.
Adding to the pressure, the options market lit up last week, with <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/insights/options/25/05/45416530/10-information-technology-stocks-whale-activity-in-todays-session">sweep transactions for sold calls</a> hitting SOUN stock. Essentially the institutional version of a market order, sweep transactions suggest a heightened tempo to secure the trade quickly. This transaction has bearish implications because the trader is underwriting the risk — due to uncertainty — that SOUN will not rise above the profitability threshold by expiration.
Thanks to the wide-ranging pessimism, short interest in SoundHound is sky-high at 30.7% of its float. What's more, the short interest ratio stands at 5.31 days to cover, meaning that traders will require at least a week to unwind their bearish positions based on average trading volume.
Translation? Given the popularity of SOUN stock among retail traders, the red ink could be viewed as a discount. If so, the bears might find themselves on the wrong end of the barrel, thus setting off a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/money/what-is-a-short-squeeze">short squeeze</a>.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Market Breadth May Fan The Flames Of SOUN Stock</h2>
As pet food products specialist Freshpet Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FRPT#NASDAQ">FRPT</a>) recently demonstrated, short squeezes can be quite powerful. Earlier this month, FRPT's <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/05/45236387/frpt-stock-short-squeeze-mixed-q1-earnings">short interest popped to 15.3%</a>. And even though much of the upswing had already materialized by the time I discussed the trading idea, I stated at the time that there was still room for growth.
Although the price discovery process was incredibly choppy, the proof is in the receipt: the short squeeze helped drive the share price higher.
With SOUN stock, the situation is arguably even more compelling for risk-takers. Generative AI and its practical applications are intensely popular talking points. Further, SOUN's short interest is double that of FRPT, with nearly identical days to cover. Subsequently, the upside could be robust.
Fueling this speculation is market breadth data. Currently, SOUN is riding a "3-7-D" sequence: three up weeks mixed with seven down weeks, with a net negative trajectory across the 10-week period. Notably, in 58.33% of cases, the following week's price action resulted in upside, with a median return of 13.58%.

Under "normal" conditions, SOUN stock features a negative bias. Statistically, the chance that a long position will be profitable on any given week is only 47.5%. For context, a stable blue chip will usually feature long-side odds of around 52% — a tiny edge that theoretically favors the bullish investor over a lengthy period.
With SOUN stock, the market is pricing shares with the assumption of this negative bias. However, the aforementioned market breadth data shows that in the current sentiment regime, the odds favor speculation.
By deduction, then, the previously mentioned sold call may be the wrong move. When the odds favor a directional swing — either bullish or bearish — the incentivization shifts toward a debit-based transaction.
In other words, the trader is incentivized to buy the probability, not sell the uncertainty.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Advantaging Potentially Mispriced Options</h2>
Because of the wild volatility of SOUN stock, market makers are extremely skeptical about the equity. Traders can use this potential mispricing to their advantage.
Take for example the 10/10.50 bull call spread expiring June 6. This transaction involves buying the $10 call and simultaneously selling the $10.50 call, for a net debit paid of $19. Should SOUN stock rise through the short strike price at expiration, the maximum reward is $31, a payout of over 163%.
Primarily, this trade is attractive because, as stated earlier, market makers are assuming a negative bias in SOUN stock. And they would be correct in most circumstances. However, the current market breadth setup suggests that the odds have tilted in favor of the bulls, making the above call spread awfully tempting.
