This investigational Abbott TAVI system is the first step toward Abbott's software-guided balloon-expandable TAVI system&nbsp;and is designed to build a foundation for artificial intelligence (AI) guided procedures. Once the investigational balloon-expandable system completes clinical development and is approved by regulatory authorities, Abbott's structural heart portfolio will offer physicians another TAVI management option to meet the patient's&nbsp;needs along with the company's Navitor&#x2122; TAVI system, which is already commercially available.
The aortic valve is a heart valve that controls the flow of oxygen-rich blood to the body. With age, calcium may build up in the valve and cause it to narrow – a condition known as aortic stenosis – resulting in the heart needing to work harder to pump blood through the valve. Left untreated, aortic stenosis can cause symptoms, such as chest pain, shortness of breath and fainting, and it can weaken the heart and become life-threatening. Patients who are at risk of open-heart surgery due to age, frailty or having multiple other conditions may benefit from minimally invasive treatment options where a device is delivered to the heart through an artery in the leg. Aortic stenosis remains the most common primary valve disease and its prevalence increases with age, ranging from approximately 2% in adults 70-80 years of age to 9% in adults older than 80 years.1
The investigational system is a type of balloon-expandable TAVI device, which works by crimping the new heart valve on a deflated balloon. The balloon with the mounted valve is then inserted into the body through an artery in the groin and routed up to the heart. Once properly positioned inside the narrowed heart valve, the balloon is inflated to expand the new valve, taking over the function of the patient's narrow native heart valve. The balloon is then deflated and removed from the body.

This acquisition is a natural fit, allowing Mobix Labs to integrate Spacecraft's expertise and expand into the aerospace, military, and defense sectors; while also entering the transportation market as a new revenue stream.

Operational and Financial Impact
The acquisition is expected to increase Mobix Labs' workforce by approximately 150 employees, primarily based in Nevada. Spacecraft Components reported unaudited revenues of $18.1 million in 2023, with forecasted growth for the next two years. Spacecraft's compiled unaudited non-GAAP financials represent it has positive earnings and cash flow. The acquisition is expected to be accretive to Mobix Labs' earnings. If the transaction closes as anticipated, it will materially increase Mobix Labs' revenue in fiscal year 2025.

Insights From Analysts:
Wells Fargo analysts have expressed optimism about food inflation cooling down further over the coming weeks, but that it could be less noticeable now than it has been over the last two years.
"Few Americans may include a slower pace of food price growth on their list of things to be grateful for this year, but our team does expect consumer price inflation for food to continue to quiet down over time—just less noticeably than has been seen over the past two years," the analysts said in a recent note.
Ryan Detrick, chief market strategist at Carson Group, continued to remain bullish on equities.

Nathan Peterson, Director of Derivatives Analysis at the Schwab Center for Financial Research, laid <a href="https://www.schwab.com/learn/story/weekly-traders-outlook/">out</a> the thesis for market movements for the next week.
"Taking everything into consideration, bullish seasonality, bullish technicals, a strong fundamental backdrop and a friendly Fed leave me in the bullish camp for next week," Peterson said.
This week will have a shorter trading window due to Thanksgiving, which could mean lower volume but higher volatility.
"From a seasonality perspective, November is a bullish month for stocks and &#8216;Thanksgiving Week&#8217; tends to be an up week more often than not."
