Sales declined&nbsp;3% year over year (Y/Y) to&nbsp;$8.17 billion, missing the consensus of&nbsp;$8.19 billion.
The Indiana-based company stated that sales in North America declined 1% Y/Y and international revenues fell 5%&nbsp;Y/Y in the quarter.

EBITDA came in at&nbsp;$1.5 billion (17.9% of sales) vs.&nbsp;$2.6 billion&nbsp;(30.6%) last year.
EPS for the quarter stood at&nbsp;$5.96 compared to&nbsp;$14.03 a year ago, beating <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/earnings" rel="noreferrer noopener">the consensus of&nbsp;$4.85</a>.
Cummins' operating cash outflow for the quarter totaled&nbsp;$3 million, compared to the operating cash flow of&nbsp;$276 million a year ago.
At the end of March 2025, CMI held cash and equivalents of&nbsp;$1.53 billion.
Outlook: Given increasing economic uncertainty, the company planned to not provide revenue or profitability<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/guidance" rel="noreferrer noopener"> guidance for the rest of 2025</a>.
During the fourth quarter earnings call, Cummins provided 2025 guidance of revenue of down&nbsp;2% to up&nbsp;3%&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com//node/43463557" rel="noreferrer noopener">and&nbsp;EBITDA of 16.2%&nbsp;and&nbsp;17.2%</a>.

Should buyers fail to defend 161.79, bears will likely push downward to initially test 160.36. Meta Platforms Inc (META)

MARA Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MARA#NASDAQ">MARA</a>) shares are trading lower. The company on Monday provided a Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) mining update for April ahead of earnings later this week. Here&#8217;s a look at <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/25/05/45192498/bitcoins-key-level-is-96500-analyst-warns-but-heres-what-could-trigger-a-breakdown">what&#8217;s going on</a>.
What To Know: MARA Holdings said it mined 705 bitcoin in April, down 15% month-over-month from 829 bitcoin mined in March. The number is also lower than the 706 bitcoin the company produced in February. 
Total bitcoin holdings grew to 48,237 as of the end of the month as the company's energized hashrate increased 5.5% to 57.3 EH/s as of April 30.
&#8220;In April, our production saw a 15% month-over-month decrease in blocks won, as global hashrate had its second largest monthly gain on record and mining difficulty grew 8% from March,&#8221; said Fred Thiel, chairman and CEO of MARA Holdings.
&#8220;Despite these headwinds, our energized hashrate grew 5.5% over the prior month. We completed a 50-megawatt (&#8220;MW&#8221;) expansion at our fully owned data center in Ohio, bringing total operational capacity to 100 MW, with the site designed to scale up to 200 MW. Additionally, we installed over 12,000 S21 Pro miners at the location.&#8221;
MARA Holdings shares were already trading down ahead of the production update as Bitcoin trended lower over the weekend, falling from around $97,700 to approximately $94,250 at the time of writing on Monday.

The company is due to report financial results for the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/earnings">first quarter</a> after the market close on Thursday. Analysts expect the bitcoin miner to report earnings of 29 cents per share and revenue of $224.85 million. 
Last quarter, MARA Holdings beat analyst estimates on the top and bottom lines as <a href="https://in.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/analyst-color/25/02/44012083/mara-holdings-surges-on-record-q4-revenues-analysts-weigh-in">revenue jumped 37%</a> year-over-year. The company said at the time that it was well positioned to capture share in the growing AI market as demand for cost-effective compute infrastructure continues to climb.

MARA Holdings Says Bitcoin Production Fell 15% Last Month, Shares Move Lower With Earnings On The Horizon: What's Going On?

On April 29, 2025, Novavax, Inc. (the "Company") entered into a collaboration and exclusive license agreement, as amended, (the "Amended Collaboration Agreement") with Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited ("Takeda") which amends and supersedes the collaboration and exclusive license agreement, dated February 24, 2021, (the "Original Agreement," together with the Amended Collaboration Agreement, the "Agreement").
&nbsp;
The Original Agreement, which granted Takeda an exclusive license to develop, manufacture, and commercialize NVX-CoV2373, the Company's vaccine candidate for the SARS-CoV-2 virus (the "Vaccine") in Japan, has been amended so that Takeda may develop and commercialize a strain for the Vaccine that is different from the strain that the Company selects for the year, provided such Takeda selected strain must be procured from the Company. Under the Amended Collaboration Agreement, Takeda will continue to purchase the Company's Matrix-M&#x2122; adjuvant to manufacture doses of finished Vaccine with updated adjuvant forecast and other supply terms.
&nbsp;
Under the Amended Collaboration Agreement, the Company will receive a non-refundable upfront payment of $19.5 million of which $5 million is creditable against royalties owed by Takeda for its fiscal year 2024. In addition, on an annual basis, (i) the Company will receive $2 million to compensate the Company for services provided by the Company under the Agreement, and (ii) the Company will receive an additional $8 million annual milestone payment of which $5 million is creditable against royalties owed by Takeda in its fiscal year 2025 or thereafter, if Takeda receives marketing approval of the Vaccine in that year or such approval is not necessary for such year. The parties have also updated the financial terms to replace the share of operating profits and, instead, provide the Company with a tiered royalty as a percentage of Takeda's, its affiliates' and sublicensees' total net sales in the mid to high-teen percentages (subject to certain capped royalty reductions), commencing on April 1, 2024 and will continue until the latest of (a) twenty years after April 29, 2025, (b) all the Company's know-how licensed under the Amended Collaboration Agreement has become publicly available through no fault of Takeda, and (c) the expiration of the last valid claim in the intellectual property rights licensed by the Company to Takeda under the Amended Collaboration Agreement covering the Vaccine in Japan.

LOS ANGELES, May 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- <a href="https://c212.net/c/link/?t=0&amp;l=en&amp;o=4419513-1&amp;h=2711937094&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.thumzupmedia.com%2F&amp;a=Thumzup+Media+Corporation">Thumzup Media Corporation</a> ("Thumzup" or the "Company") (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TZUP#NASDAQ">TZUP</a>), an emerging leader in social media branding and programmatic marketing solutions, today announced that it has filed a "universal shelf" registration statement on Form S-3 with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the "SEC").
Once effective, the registration statement would allow Thumzup to raise up to an aggregate of&nbsp;$200,000,000 for additional working capital and to acquire additional Bitcoin ("BTC").
The Company has Board approval to implement a Bitcoin ("BTC") acquisition strategy, pursuant to which it may allocate up to 90% of its liquid assets to BTC. Under the terms of the offering, the Company would have the ability to raise capital in one or more offerings over the three years after the registration statement is declared effective by the SEC.&nbsp;These capital raises could include common stock, preferred stock (including in the form of depositary shares), warrants, debt securities (including convertible debt), purchase contracts, and/or units (which are typically a combination of two or more types of securities (global securities)).&nbsp;

As of May 4, the company <a href="https://assets.contentstack.io/v3/assets/bltf8d808d9b8cebd37/blt530624966fb17ac3/6818a606cc0bf423515ffcad/form-8-k_05-05-2025.pdf">holds</a> 555,450 BTC acquired for $38.08 billion at an average cost basis of $68,550 per coin.
The acquisition extends Strategy's lead as the largest public corporate holder of Bitcoin, now owning over 2.6% of the total circulating supply.
According to its latest disclosures, the company's Bitcoin holdings have delivered a year-to-date yield of 14.0% in 2025.
The announcement coincides with a broader surge in institutional investment into digital assets. 
<a href="https://blog.coinshares.com/volume-232-digital-asset-fund-flows-weekly-report-4f8ae30ba289">According</a> to CoinShares, digital asset investment products saw $2 billion in net inflows last week—the third consecutive week of positive flows.
Over the past three weeks, crypto products have attracted $5.5 billion in total inflows, reversing nine straight weeks of outflows and pushing year-to-date flows to $5.6 billion.

Ethereum (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/eth/usd">ETH</a>) investment products recorded $149 million in inflows, marking the second straight week of gains and bringing the two-week total to $336 million. 
Solana (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/sol/usd">SOL</a>) added $6 million, while smaller flows were observed into Ripple&#8216;s (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/xrp/usd">XRP</a>) ($10.5 million) and Tezos (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/xtz/usd">XTZ</a>) ($8.2 million). 
Blockchain equities saw inflows of $15.9 million.
Regionally, the United States led with $1.9 billion in inflows, followed by Germany ($47 million), Switzerland ($34 million), and Canada ($20 million), indicating broad support for the asset class globally.
