What Happened: Lichtenstein's elaborate laundering <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.dcd.257739/gov.uscourts.dcd.257739.143.0.pdf">scheme</a>, carried out with the assistance of his wife, Heather Morgan, has been described by authorities as one of the most sophisticated money-laundering operations ever encountered in the cryptocurrency space.
U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly, delivering the sentence on Thursday, called the theft "meticulously planned" and emphasized the importance of accountability. 
"It's important to send a message that you can't commit these crimes with impunity, that there are consequences to them," she said.
The hack targeted Hong Kong-based exchange Bitfinex, compromising 36% of the company's assets at the time. 
Prosecutors revealed that Lichtenstein spent months infiltrating Bitfinex's infrastructure to execute the theft. After the hack, he moved the stolen Bitcoin through a maze of transactions designed to obscure its origins. 
By 2022, the couple had successfully laundered around 21% of the stolen funds, worth $14 million at 2016 prices, and exceeding $1 billion in 2022.
Heather Morgan, who also faces sentencing, played a lower-level role, according to prosecutors.

Authorities recovered over 96% of the stolen bitcoin, valued at over $6 billion, thanks in part to Lichtenstein's cooperation following his arrest in February 2022. 
His defense attorney, Samson Enzer, highlighted this cooperation, stating, "The vast bulk of the stolen money was never spent."
The theft significantly impacted Bitfinex's operations and reputation, forcing the company to take swift action to protect its customers. 
"The hack devastated our finances and reputation," said Barry Berke, an attorney for Bitfinex. 
Despite the setback, Bitfinex absorbed the losses to shield its customers from the fallout.
While in custody, Lichtenstein expressed regret, stating, "I want to take full responsibility for my actions and make amends any way I can." 
He also shared his desire to contribute positively in the future by applying his skills to combat cybercrime.

As Super Micro hurtles toward a Nasdaq delisting deadline, all eyes are on Nvidia's earnings next week to gauge whether Super Micro can steady its ship—or sink further into the abyss.

Supermicro's close ties with Nvidia have been both a blessing and a curse.

Nvidia's dominance in AI chip innovation fueled a meteoric rise for SMCI stock, especially during the first quarter, but that relationship is now under scrutiny. 
Recent whispers suggest <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/trading-ideas/technicals/24/11/41745935/super-micro-computer-posts-q1-earnings-are-delisting-fears-here-to-stay-or-can-the-stock">Nvidia is diversifying its partnerships</a>, reportedly redirecting orders from Super Micro to other server vendors. While Nvidia hasn't officially confirmed these moves, the implications are clear: reputational and operational risks tied to Super Micro's ongoing crises might be too hot for Nvidia to handle.
Nvidia's earnings call on Nov. 20 could be the turning point for SMCI stock investors. If Nvidia acknowledges its cooling stance toward Super Micro, the already battered stock might face another wave of sell-offs. 
On the flip side, silence on the matter could offer Super Micro a temporary reprieve.

Super Micro's troubles don't end with Nvidia. The company is racing against a Nov. 16 Nasdaq deadline to resolve its delinquent SEC filings, a fallout from the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/09/41052423/super-micro-computer-stock-falls-on-report-of-doj-probe-what-to-know">ongoing accounting fiasco</a> sparked by Hindenburg Research's scathing short report. 
With its 10-K filing delayed, its 10-Q now also postponed, and its auditor Ernst &amp; Young resigning in October, the situation looks bleak.
If <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/trading-ideas/technicals/24/11/41745935/super-micro-computer-posts-q1-earnings-are-delisting-fears-here-to-stay-or-can-the-stock">the Nasdaq delisting</a> process kicks off, SMCI stock could lose access to critical ETFs and its spot in the S&amp;P 500, leaving it to trade over the counter. 
This downgrade could scare off institutional investors and trigger further downward momentum.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Nvidia&#8217;s Earnings &#8211; A Litmus Test For SMCI Stock Investors</h2>
Despite the doom and gloom, Super Micro isn't entirely out of moves. An independent <a href="https://www.ft.com/content/9e8eae65-8c29-4ab9-aea6-89e0a7a2f356">committee</a> has found no evidence of fraud among its management and plans to recommend remedial measures soon. If these measures, combined with a plausible compliance plan for Nasdaq, are compelling enough, Super Micro could buy itself more time to recover.
But even if SMCI clears these hurdles, regaining Nvidia's trust and rebuilding its credibility in the market won't be a walk in the park. 
For now, Nvidia's earnings report might be a forecast for the AI boom and a litmus test for Super Micro's survival. Investors should brace for a make-or-break week ahead.

Intuitive Machines Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/LUNR#NASDAQ">LUNR</a>) posted better-than-expected <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/space/24/11/41977504/intuitive-machines-stock-volatile-on-q3-earnings-what-you-need-to-know">third-quarter sales on Thursday</a>.
Intuitive Machines reported third-quarter revenue of $58.48 million, beating analyst estimates of $50.89 million, according to Benzinga Pro. Total revenue was up 359% on a year-over-year basis.
The company reported a net loss of $80.44 million, versus net income of $14.31 million in the prior year's quarter. Backlog grew to $316.2 million in the quarter, the highest in company history. Intuitive Machines ended the quarter with $89.6 million in cash.
"Intuitive Machines had a very strong third quarter highlighted by key wins, revenue growth, and the largest cash balance in Company history," said Steve Altemus, CEO of Intuitive Machines.
Intuitive Machines narrowed its full-year revenue outlook to a range of $215 million to $235 million. The company also said it expects continued backlog expansion driven by potential upcoming awards including Near Space Network 1.2 / 1.3 Direct to Earth and LTVS Phase 2, as well as task orders for OMES and Near Space Network 2.2.
Intuitive Machines shares gained 12.8% to trade at $11.55 on Friday.

Bloom Energy Corp (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BE#NYSE">BE</a>) announced a 1 GW fuel cell supply deal with American Electric Power Company Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AEP#NASDAQ">AEP</a>), which sent its <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/be">stock soaring in early trading on Friday</a>.
The deal is "proof of concept" that the company's product can power large-scale data centers, according to Piper Sandler.
<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-stock-ratings/analyst/58933b2043eaaa0001698f48/kashy-harrison">Analyst Kashy Harrison</a> upgraded the rating from Neutral to Overweight while raising the price target from $10 to $20.
The Bloom Energy Thesis: The latest order could "open the door to future arrangements with other utilities," Harrison said in the upgrade note.

Due to previous failures, markets had been skeptical about Bloom Energy's ability to deliver power to large data centers, the analyst stated. The order from AEP "is literally 10x what we were expecting," he added.
"Due to AEP order, the 80 MW SK Eternix order, the minimum 125 MW SK Ecoplant commitment, and continued momentum with other domestic customers, we see a path to $1.8B of revenues next year," Harrison further wrote.
