What Happened: The executive order is expected to be signed this week, the Financial Times <a href="https://www.ft.com/content/07906211-5ab8-4917-bcad-5397c0bc3170">reported</a>, citing three sources familiar with Trump&#8217;s plans, allowing 401(k) plans to diversify their&nbsp;investments beyond traditional stocks and&nbsp;bonds.

A 401(k) is a retirement savings plan sponsored by an employer that allows employees to save and invest a portion of their salary before taxes are taken out.

Ex‑OpenAI Product Chief Says The Key To Building Success Is Gathering 'A Team Of Avengers,' Reveals Two Traits To Look Out For

The Future Fund LLC's Managing Director, Gary Black, thinks Uber Technologies Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/UBER#NYSE">UBER</a>) can benefit from the rapid advancement in autonomous driving technology.

What Happened: "Uber continues to outperform Tesla as the autonomous race heats up," the investor said in a post on social media platform X on Thursday.
The investor said that Uber benefits the most with the development of autonomous driving technology as it could allow the company to "eliminate the cost of a driver from the cost of ridership, which could lower the price by half and significantly expand TAM [Total addressable market]."
The investor also shared his thoughts on Tesla Inc.'s (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) Robotaxi efforts. "Mastering unsupervised autonomy could allow it [Tesla] to expand its robotaxi fleet," Black said before adding that Elon Musk's EV giant possesses the scale to "undercut all ride-hailing competitors."
To do that, however, Tesla would need to achieve 99.99% autonomous driving efficacy, which Black said meant 1 critical disengagement per 10,000 miles or "once a year."
Black also acknowledged that investors remained skeptical of Robotaxis since it still operates in Austin with a safety driver.

Gary Black Thinks Uber 'Benefits Most' As Autonomous Driving Technology Develops, Says Tesla Could Undercut Other Ride-Hailing Companies By 'Mastering Unsupervised Autonomy'

Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell responded to scrutiny over the central bank's multi-billion-dollar, multi-year renovation of its Washington, D.C. headquarters, emphasizing that the project is being managed responsibly, with no extravagant features or misuse of public funds.
What Happened: In a letter addressed <a href="https://www.federalreserve.gov/foia/files/vought-letter-20250717.pdf">to</a> the Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought, Powell said that the renovation of the Marriner S. Eccles Building and the 1951 Constitution Avenue Building was necessary, given their aging infrastructure, with both buildings built in the 1930s.
&#8220;Neither building has seen a comprehensive renovation since they were first constructed,&#8221; Powell says, noting that the project addresses &#8220;significant structural repairs&#8221; and updates &#8220;to make the buildings safe, healthy, and effective places to work.&#8221;

Powell pushed back against allegations of excessive spending in his letter, alongside the criticism of its scope and extravagant design features. 
&#8220;There are no VIP dining rooms being constructed as part of the project,&#8221; he said, and &#8220;there are no special, private, or VIP elevators being constructed,&#8221; but he acknowledges that the initial design included new water features, which &#8220;have been eliminated,&#8221; he notes.
Why It Matters: Powell also highlighted the fact that the Federal Reserve Board voluntarily submitted its renovation plans to the National Capital Planning Commission, and has since received design approvals in 2020 and 2021.
