Looking at trends into the third quarter of 2025, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) throughput has been down, while BAC aggregated debit and credit card data for airline spend has been down slightly more in June than in April/May.

For Allegiant Travel Company (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ALGT#NASDAQ">ALGT</a>), the analyst says <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/ALGT/analyst-ratings" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">the $50 price target</a> is reasonable given the positive industry backdrop and Allegiant Travel&#8217;s monopolistic routes. However, Didora sees heightened cost risks for Allegiant given its recent 737 MAX order and pilot labor costs.
American Airlines Group&#8216;s (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AAL#NASDAQ">AAL</a>) <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/AAL/analyst-ratings" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">price forecast of $12</a> is based on 5.5x 2025E EBITDAR. The analyst says the target multiple is at a half-turn discount to American Airlines&#8217;s legacy peers, given higher leverage and execution risk.
For Delta Air Lines Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DAL#NYSE">DAL</a>), the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/DAL/analyst-ratings" target="_blank" rel="noopener">BofA analyst believes</a> the network carrier can trade towards the upper end of its historical valuation range (4-6x) over time, given revenue diversification and strong operational execution.
Frontier Group Holdings Inc.&#8217;s (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ULCC#NASDAQ">ULCC</a>) <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/ULCC/analyst-ratings" rel="noreferrer noopener">price forecast of $4</a> is based on approximately 6.5x 2026E EBITDAR, adjusted for sale-leaseback gains. This multiple is in line with ultra-low-cost carriers&#8217; historical valuation multiple and ULCC&#8217;s multiple since going public in 2021.

A mixed trading session took shape Tuesday on Wall Street, as investors rotated out of high-flying tech stocks <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets">and into lagging sectors.</a>
By midday in New York, the Nasdaq 100 dropped 0.7% to 22,500 points, while small caps in the Russell 2000 jumped 1.9% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 1.2%, reflecting strength in blue-chip and small-cap names. The S&amp;P 500 was flat at 6,200 points.
Shares of Palantir Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PLTR#NASDAQ">PLTR</a>) fell 4% despite a lack of major news, as investors appeared willing to take some profits following a year-to-date rally of over 70%.
<h1 class="wp-block-heading">Powell Keeps July Rate Cut On the Table</h1>
Speaking at the European Central Bank's symposium in Sintra, Fed Chair Jerome Powell signaled that most officials still expect to cut interest rates later this year. 
Notably, Powell rejected the speculation that a July rate cut is off the table, reaffirming the Fed's data-dependent stance. 
Meanwhile, the U.S. Senate approved President Donald Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill. 
The U.S. dollar index held steady as the greenback attempted to snap a nine-day losing streak against the euro — the longest stretch of declines since 2003. Treasury yields edged slightly higher, with the 10-year note rising three basis points to 4.26%.
On the sector front, materials outperformed, breaking above their 200-day moving average for the first time in 2025. Technology lagged. 
In industry highlights, solar stocks rallied after the Senate approved a tax-and-spending bill that scrapped a proposed excise tax on renewable energy projects. Upward momentum was seen from Sunrun Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/RUN#NASDAQ">RUN</a>), up 10%; SolarEdge Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SEDG#NASDAQ">SEDG</a>), up 9.7% and Enphase Energy Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ENPH#NASDAQ">ENPH</a>), up 4%, while the Invesco Solar ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TAN#NYSE">TAN</a>) surged 5.4%.
Commodities advanced broadly, with gold gaining 1% to $3,340 per ounce and silver rising 0.5% to $36.20. Copper edged up 0.2%, reaching its highest level since late March, while oil climbed 1% to $65.71 a barrel.
Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) softened 1% to $106,000.

Robinhood To Rally More Than 17%? Here Are 10 Top Analyst Forecasts For Tuesday

<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/jpmorgan-asset-management">JPMorgan Asset Management</a> is doubling down on active fixed income with the introduction of its newest product, the JPMorgan Mortgage-Backed Securities ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/JMTG#NYSE">JMTG</a>). 
The launch follows on the heels of its record-breaking Active High Yield ETF (BATS:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/JPHY#BATS">JPHY</a>), which <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/etfs/new-etfs/25/06/46151058/jpmorgans-new-etf-smashes-records-with-2-billion-kick-off">debuted with a record $2 billion in initial assets</a>, the biggest active ETF launch to date.
With more than $55 billion of <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/etfs">active fixed income ETF </a>assets, JPMorgan is still the leader in this expanding niche. JMTG is the company&#8217;s newest mutual fund conversion, offering investors specific exposure to the mortgage-backed securities (MBS) market, a niche in fixed income frequently underappreciated but with stable cash flows and diversification appeal.
With a 0.24% expense ratio, JMTG is a relatively low-cost entry into the MBS market for those looking for steady income without committing fully to high-yielding territory.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Long-Term Play In The MBS Market</h2>
JMTG invests mainly in investment-grade residential and commercial MBS, such as securities issued by government-sponsored agencies like Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, non-agency, and private-label MBS. The fund&#8217;s holdings also include unrated securities of comparable quality, private placements, and zero-coupon bonds.
For long-term investors, the ETF&#8217;s strategy focuses on diversified exposure over interest rate environments and credit cycles. The portfolio managers evaluate a variety of factors—duration, interest-rate risk, credit quality, and liquidity—when choosing securities. At inception, the fund consisted of 2,425 unique MBS, with a minimum of 65% in bond form, and a target maturity of two to ten years.
Earlier this year, JPMorgan submitted paperwork on its plans to convert four mutual funds, totaling $7.2 billion in assets, into ETFs.

New JPMorgan ETF Offers A Different Route To Income Investing

Bank of America Securities analyst Robert F. Ohmes <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/HD/analyst-ratings" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">maintained a Buy</a> rating on Home Depot (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/HD#NYSE">HD</a>) with a price target of $450 on Tuesday.
Ohmes noted that Home Depot announced plans for SRS Distribution to acquire GMS Inc (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GMS#NYSE">GMS</a>) for $110 per share or ~$4.3 billion (an implied EV of ~$5.5 billion).
The analyst said GMS is a leading distributor of specialty building products, including drywall, ceilings, and steel framing, in both residential and commercial markets.

GMS reported 2024 sales of $5.5 billion and adjusted EBITDA of $615 million. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2025. Given the timing and size of the deal (HD&#8217;s acquisition of SRS for $18.25 billion, closed in 82 days), Ohmes noted that the acquisition could close ahead of this timeline.
The analyst stated that the acquisition of GMS adds a new vertical (wallboard, ceilings, and steel framing) adjacent to SRS&#8217; existing business (roofing, landscaping, and pools).
He expects the acquisition to complement SRS, given the overlap in customers and similar capabilities in wholesale distribution.
Notably, post-acquisition, GMS will report to Dan Tinker of SRS, who is very excited about this transaction (combined 1,200 locations and 8,000 trucks capable of tens of thousands of jobsite deliveries daily), Ohmes said.
The analyst expects GMS to grow organically and through targeted acquisitions under Home Depot&#8217;s ownership.
He said Home Depot expects the transaction to be accretive to adjusted EPS (excluding amortization expense) in the first year after close, excluding synergies.
Similar to SRS, Ohmes expects GMS to have an unfavorable mix impact on gross margin.
The analyst noted that Home Depot will finance the acquisition through cash on hand and debt.
Home Depot expects to return to a 2.0x leverage ratio by the end of fiscal 2026, after which Ohmes expects the company to resume share repurchases.
The analyst said Home Depot remains focused on maturing Pro capabilities to serve more complex projects, with SRS now managing the company&#8217;s trade credit program.
While the macro remains choppy, Ohmes expects Home Depot to continue gaining shares as it accelerates growth and capabilities with the complex Pro organically and inorganically.
Price Actions:&nbsp;HD shares are trading higher by 2.69% at $376.54 at last check Tuesday. GMS is up 0.15%.

Pay Attention To Trump-Musk Feud, Worst Start To Dollar Since 1973 - Stock Market Bulls Celebrate

As we head into the second half of 2025, the British economy is showing signs of stabilization, but it remains a structurally sluggish environment. The UK managed to avoid a technical recession in 2024, and GDP is growing again.
Just barely.
Annualized growth is running in the 0.5% to 1% range, which is below trend and well behind both the U.S. and parts of Europe.
The Bank of England has been slower to pivot than the Fed, with policy rates still above 4%, and a bias toward caution given persistent services inflation.
Real wages have begun to rise after two years of erosion, but the improvement has not meaningfully lifted consumer sentiment. High housing costs, weak productivity, and a stubbornly large fiscal deficit continue to weigh on growth.
&nbsp;The labor market remains tight, although immigration and increased participation have helped moderate wage pressures.
The structure of the mortgage market is a key differentiator from the U.S. Most UK mortgages are either variable-rate or short-term fixed, so the impact of higher interest rates has been more immediate.
That has restrained consumer spending in a way we have not seen in the U.S., where long-dated fixed-rate mortgages offer households more protection.
Commercial real estate in London is holding up relatively well, supported by overseas capital and demand for legal and financial services office space.
&nbsp;Outside of the capital, the picture is less stable, especially in regional offices and retail. The housing market remains sluggish, with transaction volumes down and affordability stretched.
On the equity side, UK stocks are still cheap. The FTSE 100 and broader FTSE All-Share index trade at forward price-to-earnings ratios in the 9 to 11 times range.
&nbsp;Price-to-book ratios are often below 1.5. That compares to the S&amp;P 500 at over 21x forward earnings and a price-to-book closer to 4.5.
&nbsp;Dividend yields on UK shares average between 4% and 4.5%, more than double the current yield on the S&amp;P.
Part of this valuation gap is structural. The UK market is heavily skewed toward energy, materials, financials, and consumer staples. It lacks the high-growth tech concentration that dominates the U.S. index.
&nbsp;The result is that UK stocks often look like value traps to growth-focused global investors.
There is a case to be made for British equities from an income and contrarian value perspective. Private equity firms and sovereign wealth funds continue to quietly buy up UK assets, particularly in the mid-cap space where valuations are even more depressed.
&nbsp;There is a clear disconnect between public market pricing and private market interest.
The outlook is not without risk. The UK is headed into a general election, with polls suggesting a change in government.
&nbsp;Markets may welcome more fiscal discipline, but any shifts in tax or regulatory policy could inject uncertainty.
Absent a stronger domestic growth story or a revival in innovation-led sectors, the valuation discount to U.S. stocks is likely to persist according to the experts.
Fortunately I thrive on ignoring the market and economics experts.
&nbsp;British equities offer a very different proposition from U.S. large caps.
&nbsp;Less growth, more income. Less enthusiasm, more defensiveness.
Sounds Perfect.
As the grandchild of Irish Immigrants, I am probably not supposed to recommend anything British but safe and cheap is too good to pass up no matter its nationality, accent or tendency to overcook perfectly good food.
Here are four UK-rooted names I am keeping a close eye on, each with its own catalyst and story.
CNH Industrial (Ticker: CNH) remains a global force in the agricultural and construction equipment space. Best known for brands like Case IH and New Holland, CNH has emerged from its restructuring with a leaner focus and a sharper edge. Following the spin-off of its truck and powertrain business into Iveco, CNH is doubling down on precision agriculture and automation. Yes, farm equipment demand has softened a bit, but CNH trades at just under 8x forward earnings and around 90% of book value. These are levels that already reflect a lot of caution.
In the meantime, the dividend yield sits near 3.1%, and the company continues to reinvest for long-term growth in smart farming and electrified machinery. For patient investors, the reward-to-risk balance looks favorable.
Nomad Foods (Ticker: NOMD) offers another quietly consistent story. As the parent of Birds Eye, Iglo, and Findus, Nomad is a dominant player in the European frozen food space. Frozen food may not sound exciting, but the business is sticky, recession-resistant, and generates a ton of cash.
Nomad's leadership team, which includes veteran operators and dealmakers, has done a solid job of balancing margin expansion with bolt-on M&amp;A. The stock trades at less than 10x forward earnings and carries a free cash flow yield of around 10%. There's no dividend here, but management has been actively repurchasing shares.
&nbsp;For investors looking for dependable cash flow at a discount, this one fits the bill.
Pearson (Ticker: PSO) is a classic example of a UK firm reinventing itself. Once known for textbooks and standardized tests, Pearson has transformed into a digital education company. The company now focuses on online learning, virtual testing, and credentialing services, with a strong push into direct-to-consumer platforms.
While the pivot has not been without bumps, the underlying fundamentals have improved. Pearson trades around 12x earnings and yields about 2.3%, with a modest payout ratio that leaves room for growth.
As global demand for online education and upskilling continues to grow, Pearson looks increasingly well-positioned to capitalize on this long-term shift.
Cushman &amp; Wakefield (Ticker: CWK), while operationally headquartered in Chicago, is technically domiciled in London and still reflects UK corporate governance roots. Avadel Pharmaceuticals Plc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AVDL#NASDAQ">AVDL</a>) is under fire from its shareholder ASL Strategic Value Fund, LP, which is pushing for a complete overhaul of the board following what it describes as a series of strategic failures tied to Lumryz, the company&#8217;s <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/health-care" rel="noreferrer noopener">once-nightly narcolepsy treatment</a>.
In a letter released Monday, ASL argued Avadel failed to capitalize on Lumryz&#8217;s market potential, costing the company hundreds of millions in revenue and <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/06/b46164920/asl-strategic-value-fund-issues-open-letter-to-avadel-shareholders" rel="noreferrer noopener">diminishing shareholder value</a>.
ASL, which holds approximately $15 million in Avadel stock, criticized the company&#8217;s slow patient conversion from Jazz Pharmaceutical Plc&#8217;s (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/JAZZ#NASDAQ">JAZZ</a>) Xyrem to Lumryz, despite the latter having been deemed &#8220;clinically superior&#8221; by the FDA.

Since Lumryz&#8217;s approval in 2021, only about 1,000 patients have made the switch, which ASL estimates represents a $600 million to $800 million shortfall.
The group called this delay in targeting Xyrem patients a &#8220;strategic blunder,&#8221; claiming it has shaved $5 to $7 per share from shareholder value.
The fund is urging shareholders to vote out the current board at the July 29 annual meeting. It is pressing Avadel to engage an investment bank to evaluate options for monetizing Lumryz.
This includes exploring partnerships or licensing deals, particularly given its recent Orphan Drug Designation for idiopathic hypersomnia (IH), a move that could generate an additional $500 million to $1 billion in annual revenue if Lumryz is approved for the rare sleep disorder.
Avadel defended its strategy, saying it is actively working with major shareholders and remains committed to unlocking Lumryz&#8217;s full value.
The company also highlighted a recent legal win in which a U.S. court affirmed the FDA&#8217;s conclusion that Lumryz&#8217;s once-nightly dosing is clinically superior to its competitors. However, ASL pointed to ongoing litigation with Jazz Pharmaceuticals, six lawsuits in total, as another area where the board has underdelivered.
With one case heading to trial within four months and over $1 billion at stake, ASL accuses leadership of failing to act urgently or communicate the opportunity to investors.
Beyond strategic concerns, ASL cited governance issues, including uncounted shareholder votes and a lack of transparency around executive pay.
Despite Avadel&#8217;s falling market capitalization, from $2.5 billion to $900 million over two years, CEO compensation was $7.4 million in 2024, raising further concerns over accountability.
On Friday, Avadel Pharmaceuticals said the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit upheld a lower court&#8217;s decision siding with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in a case <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/06/g46164897/avadel-pharmaceuticals-announces-unanimous-appeals-court-decision-upholding-fda-approval-of-lumryz" rel="noreferrer noopener">brought by Jazz Pharmaceuticals</a>.
Earlier in June, the FDA granted Orphan Drug Designation to Lumryz for <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/06/g45789373/avadel-pharmaceuticals-receives-orphan-drug-designation-from-fda-for-lumryz-sodium-oxybate-for-ext" rel="noreferrer noopener">Idiopathic Hypersomnia</a>.
Price Action: AVDL stock is trading lower by 0.40% to $8.83 at last check Tuesday.
