EPS was&nbsp;$2.58,&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/earnings" rel="noreferrer noopener">missing the consensus of&nbsp;$2.67.</a> Net sales orders fell&nbsp;15%&nbsp;Y/Y to 22,437&nbsp;homes and&nbsp;decreased&nbsp;17% Y/Y&nbsp;in value to&nbsp;$8.4 billion.
Homebuilding revenue declined&nbsp;15%&nbsp;Y/Y&nbsp;to&nbsp;$7.2&nbsp;billion. Homes closed in the quarter fell&nbsp;15% Y/Y to 19,276 homes.

The sales order backlog of homes under contract as of March 31, 2025, decreased&nbsp;21% year over year to 14,164&nbsp;homes and&nbsp;22% year over year in value to&nbsp;$5.5&nbsp;billion.
D.R. Horton had 36,900&nbsp;homes in inventory, of which 23,500&nbsp;were unsold as of March 31, 2025.
Return on equity was&nbsp;17.4%, and return on assets stood at&nbsp;12.2% for the trailing twelve months ended March 31, 2025.
Operating cash flow stood at&nbsp;$210.5&nbsp;million in the six months ended March 31, 2025.
As of March 31, 2025, the cash balance was&nbsp;$2.5&nbsp;billion, and the available capacity on its credit facilities was&nbsp;$3.3&nbsp;billion, for a total liquidity of&nbsp;$5.8&nbsp;billion.
Buyback: D.R. Horton repurchased 9.7&nbsp;million shares for&nbsp;$1.3&nbsp;billion&nbsp;during the quarter. The company's remaining stock repurchase authorization as of March-end&nbsp;was&nbsp;$1.2&nbsp;billion.
In April 2025, the Board of Directors approved a new $5.0 billion share repurchase authorization, replacing the prior program, which had $1.1 billion remaining following post-quarter-end buybacks.
Dividend: Subsequent to year-end, the company declared the quarterly dividend of&nbsp;$0.40&nbsp;per share, payable on May 9, to shareholders of record as of May 2, 2025.
FY25&nbsp;Outlook: D.R. Horton revised its revenue guidance to&nbsp;$33.3 billion-$34.8 billion (from $36.0 billion –&nbsp;$37.5 billion) versus&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/guidance" rel="noreferrer noopener">the&nbsp;consensus of&nbsp;$36.4 billion</a>.
It now expects homes closed to be 85,000-87,000 homes (vs. 90,000-92,000 homes prior) for the year.
DHI projects FY25 operating cash flow to be greater than $3.0 billion.
The company revised its share repurchase outlook for FY25&nbsp;to approximately $4.0 billion (from&nbsp;$2.6 billion—$2.8 billion&nbsp;earlier).
The company continues to expect dividend&nbsp;payments of around&nbsp;$500 million.

Buyback: The company repurchased 19.2 million common shares for $1.5 billion in connection with The Toronto-Dominion Bank's secondary offering.
Dividend: The company raised dividend per share by 8% to 27 cents.

At the same time, we further reduced Bank Supplemental Funding to $38.1 billion at quarter-end – a 46% decrease versus 1Q24," said CFO Mike Verdeschi.

What's Keeping Bitcoin Afloat as DXY, US Stocks, and Bonds Sink? A Dive Into The Resilience of BTC

CSX Corp. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CSX#NASDAQ">CSX</a>) posted weaker-than-expected first-quarter results after <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/CSX/earnings">Wednesday&#8217;s closing bell</a>.
CSX reported quarterly GAAP earnings of 34 cents per share, which missed the analyst consensus estimate of 37 cents. Quarterly revenue came in at $3.42 billion, missing the $3.46 billion consensus estimate, as declines in coal revenue, fuel surcharge and merchandise volume were only partially offset by the effects of higher merchandise pricing and growth in intermodal volume.
"CSX faced operational challenges to start the year, which contributed to first quarter results that did not meet our expectations," said Joe Hinrichs, president and CEO of CSX. "In response, our talented and dedicated team of railroaders are working together to lift our performance and drive success through an uncertain market outlook. We are taking targeted actions to address the network constraints posed by two major ongoing infrastructure projects, and we remain committed to safely and reliably serving our customers."
CSX shares gained 1.6% to trade at $27.79 on Thursday.

Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) has been trading sideways over the past 30 days, prompting a debate about when the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/money/bitcoin-price-prediction">next strong trend will emerge</a>.
What Happened: On-chain analytics firm CryptoQuant on Wednesday <a href="https://x.com/cryptoquant_com/status/1912572692143780303">analyzed</a> the sell-side pressure impacting Bitcoin over the past two weeks. 
Contrary to popular belief, whales are not dumping. 
Instead, short-term holders are driving the recent pullbacks, creating turbulence without substance.
The data from its Exchange Inflow Age/Value Bands shows that short-term holders are the main source, offloading an average of around 930 BTC per day, compared to just around 529 BTC/day from long-term holders, who remain largely unfazed.
The on-chain data also provided a breakup based on wallet size showing that the retail and mid-sized cohorts: shrimps to sharks are doing most of the selling, while whales have barely budged, moving only around 70 BTC/day.

CaliberCos Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CWD#NASDAQ">CWD</a>) ("Caliber" or the "Company"), a real estate investor, developer, and asset manager, today announced the pricing of its underwritten public offering of total units for gross proceeds of approximately $900,000, prior to deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and offering expenses.
The offering is comprised of 2,400,000 units, priced at a public offering price of $0.375 per unit, with each unit consisting of one share of Class A common stock and one right to acquire one-fifth (1/5th) of one share of Class A common stock.
