Shares of The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DIS#NYSE">DIS</a>) continue to rally on Thursday after a more than 10% increase on Wednesday. It was driven by news that the company posted stronger-than-expected growth, in part due to<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/analyst-color/25/05/45293256/disney-stock-resilient-in-uncertain-economy-as-raised-guidance-signals-confidence"> demand at US theme parks.</a>
The announcement caused the stock to break out, and now it may even be getting close to another breakout. Benzinga&#8217;s team of expert technical analysts has made it our Stock of the Day.
Stock rallies tend to end or halt when they reach resistance levels. These are price levels or narrow zones where there is a large amount of sell interest.
If a market is trending higher there aren't enough sellers to fill the orders of the buyers. Investors and traders who wish to purchase shares are forced to outbid each other and pay premiums if they want to acquire shares.
This forces the market into an uptrend.
But when it reaches resistance, there is enough supply to satisfy all of the demand, and the price stops moving higher.

Resistance can form in markets because of buyer's remorse.
As you can see on the chart, there was resistance for Disney around $101.65 in March. The rally ended at this price and the stock reversed and went lower.

When this happened, many of the people who bought at that level regretted doing so. Some vowed to exit their positions at breakeven if they could eventually do so.
So, when the stock rallied back to that price, these remorseful buyers placed sell orders. There were enough of these orders to form resistance at the price again. This is why the move higher stalled at this level on Wednesday.
But the news made Disney break this resistance.
This indicated that the sellers who created the resistance were out of the way. With this supply off the market, buyers had to get aggressive and the stock made a big move higher.
Now the shares have encountered resistance around $106.50. There is resistance here because of buyer's remorse as well.
Remorseful buyers who purchased shares at support around $106.50 in January are selling. This has caused resistance to form.
If the buyers can overpower the sellers, as they did at the $101.65 level, another big move higher may follow.

The Food and Drug Administration on Thursday granted accelerated approval to Verastem Inc.&#8217;s (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/VSTM#NASDAQ">VSTM</a>) Avmapki Fakzynja Co-pack, a combination of avutometinib and defactinib for adult patients with KRAS-mutated recurrent low-grade serous ovarian cancer (LGSOC) who have <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/earnings" rel="noreferrer noopener">received prior systemic therapy</a>.
Efficacy was evaluated in RAMP-201 (NCT04625270), an open-label, multicenter trial that included 57 adult patients with measurable KRAS-mutated recurrent LGSOC.

Patients <a target="_blank" href="https://www.fda.gov/drugs/resources-information-approved-drugs/fda-grants-accelerated-approval-combination-avutometinib-and-defactinib-kras-mutated-recurrent-low" rel="noreferrer noopener">received</a> avutometinib 3.2 mg orally twice weekly (Day 1 and Day 4) and defactinib 200 mg orally twice daily, both taken for the first 3 weeks of each 4-week cycle until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity.
The major efficacy outcome measure was overall response rate (ORR). An additional efficacy outcome measure was duration of response (DOR).
The confirmed ORR was 44%, and the DOR range was 3.3 to 31.1 months.
The recommended avutometinib dose is 3.2 mg (four 0.8 mg capsules) taken orally twice weekly (Day 1 and Day 4) for the first 3 weeks of each 4-week cycle until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity.
The recommended defactinib dose is 200 mg (one tablet) taken orally twice daily for the first 3 weeks of each 4-week cycle until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity.
In April, Verastem Oncology&nbsp;announced a private placement of approximately $24 million of shares at $7.00 per share and, in lieu of common stock, $51 million of pre-funded warrants at $6.9999 per pre-funded warrant.
Verastem expects to receive gross proceeds from the offering of <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/04/b45007065/verastem-oncology-announces-75-million-private-placement" rel="noreferrer noopener">approximately $75 million</a>.
The company said it would use the proceeds to fund the potential launch of avutometinib and defactinib, as well as continued clinical research and development of product candidates, including VS-7375, working capital, and other general corporate purposes.
In April, the FDA cleared Verastem Oncology&#8217;s Investigational New Drug application of VS-7375, an oral KRAS G12D (ON/OFF) inhibitor for clinical evaluation.
The company expects to initiate a Phase 1/2a study in mid-2025 and plans for multiple expansion cohorts, including combinations, in advanced solid tumors, such as pancreatic, colorectal, and <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/04/b44964117/verastem-oncology-announces-u-s-ind-clearance-of-vs-7375-oral-kras-g12d-onoff-inhibitor-enabling-p" rel="noreferrer noopener">non-small cell lung cancer</a>.
Price Action: VSTM stock was trading 3.14% higher at $6.89 at the last check on Thursday.

Quarterly <a target="_blank" href="https://investor.onepeloton.com/static-files/5691ff95-427d-4532-930d-6c5876ccaf5f" rel="noreferrer noopener">sales </a>of $624 million (down 13% year-over-year), beating the Street view of $621.32 million.
Connected Fitness Products Revenue decreased 27% year-over-year, driven by lower sales and deliveries across all Connected Fitness Product categories.
Subscription Revenue decreased $19.3 million, or 4% year-over-year.

Total Gross Profit was $318.1 million in the third quarter, an increase of 3% year over year. Total Gross Margin was 51.0%, an increase of 780 bps year-over-year, driven by a revenue mix shift towards the Subscription segment and favorable Connected Fitness Products Gross Margin.
Adjusted EBITDA was $89.4 million in the quarter, which was an $83.6 million improvement year-over-year.
The firm ended the quarter with $914.3 million in unrestricted cash and equivalents. Net Debt reduced $311.6 million or 35% year-over-year.
The company highlighted that Peloton and Precor-branded equipment are currently subject to a 25% tariff on their aluminum content. Precor and Apparel products sourced from China are subject to additional tariffs.
Outlook: Peloton Interactive slightly narrowed its FY2025 sales guidance to a range of $2.46 billion to $2.47 billion.
This compares to its prior outlook of $2.43 billion to $2.48 billion and consensus estimate of $2.46 billion.
PTON Price Action: Peloton Interactive shares are trading lower by 5.52% to $6.60 at publication on Thursday.

Branson has long been critical of Trump's global approach, but his recent comments during the event highlighted a growing fear that America&#8217;s leadership on the world stage could slip.
&#8220;I honestly think this is a fairly small elite around Trump. I don't think he is carrying the vast majority of Americans in what he is doing,&#8221; Branson said.&nbsp;
His concerns centered around how Trump&#8217;s policies were &#8220;doing so much damage&#8221; to relationships between countries, particularly regarding the situation in Ukraine, which he considers one of the most troubling aspects of the U.S. administration&#8217;s foreign policy.
Branson suggested that the U.S.&#8217;s unpredictable political environment was causing uncertainty for businesses and alienating international partners, with the potential for the U.S. to be excluded from future global alliances.

A recent post from a 28-year-old shares how they paid off debt with a financial windfall and built up their bank accounts. The individual is also contributing to their investments and owns a debt-free home. Now, the Redditor is tackling credit cards and will <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/DaveRamsey/comments/1ke6r0s/feeling_free_without_credit_cardsand_not_looking/">get rid of their cards</a>.&nbsp;
"I'm tired of managing payment every month," the Redditor said while touting debit cards.&nbsp;

The Redditor has heard about how credit cards can build credit and give you rewards, but this decision is about peace and reducing stress.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">You Don't Need A Credit Card</h2>
Credit cards offer many advantages, but they aren't required to achieve long-term financial goals or borrow money from financial institutions. The Redditor stated that lenders turn to proof of income when deciding how much to lend, with some focus on credit.
One commenter explained that he hasn't had a credit card in over 10 years. He mentioned that his credit union caught two scams at gas pumps and was able to reimburse him. That story runs contrary to the narrative that credit cards are better to have than debit cards if someone racks up fraudulent activity on your card.
The commenter also mentioned that his wife kept one of her credit cards which has come in handy for car rentals. Other than that small detail, the commenter's life has continued like normal without a credit card.

Another commenter stated that they are closing and paying off one credit card at a time. It's good to start in baby steps if you want to close all of your credit cards. Ramsey also advocates for baby steps when approaching big financial goals and getting back on the right track.
"That's good! Gotta do what works for you!" the original poster replied to the post. Then, the commenter replied by saying that small wins help. Closing credit cards can simplify your finances. It can help people who have had issues with credit card debt in the past and want to establish guardrails that keep them on track.

People who are financially strong may still overspend on their credit cards just because they can.
