Bunge Global SA (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BG#NYSE">BG</a>) will release its first-quarter financial results before the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/BG/earnings">opening bell on Wednesday</a>.
Analysts expect the company to report quarterly earnings at $1.30 per share, down from $3.04 per share in the year-ago period. Bunge projects quarterly revenue of $13.18 billion, compared to $13.42 billion a year earlier, according to data from <a href="https://pro.benzinga.com/dashboard">Benzinga Pro</a>.
On April 24, Bunge along with Repsol (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/REPYY#OTC">REPYY</a>) disclosed a significant advancement in Europe's renewable energy sector. The company introduced camelina and safflower, classified as intermediate novel crops, into the renewable fuel production process.
With the recent buzz around Bunge, some investors may be eyeing potential gains from the company's dividends too. As of now, Bunge offers an annual dividend yield of 3.50%, which is a quarterly dividend amount of 68 cents per share ($2.72 a year).
To figure out how to earn $500 monthly from Bunge, we start with the yearly target of $6,000 ($500 x 12 months).
Next, we take this amount and divide it by Bunge's $2.72 dividend: $6,000 / $2.72 = 2,206 shares.
So, an investor would need to own approximately $171,671 worth of Bunge, or 2,206 shares to generate a monthly dividend income of $500.
Assuming a more conservative goal of $100 monthly ($1,200 annually), we do the same calculation: $1,200 / $2.72 = 441 shares, or $34,319 to generate a monthly dividend income of $100.
Note that dividend yield can change on a rolling basis, as the dividend payment and the stock price both fluctuate over time.
The dividend yield is calculated by dividing the annual dividend payment by the current stock price. As the stock price changes, the dividend yield will also change.
For example, if a stock pays an annual dividend of $2 and its current price is $50, its dividend yield would be 4%. However, if the stock price increases to $60, the dividend yield would decrease to 3.33% ($2/$60).
Conversely, if the stock price decreases to $40, the dividend yield would increase to 5% ($2/$40).
Further, the dividend payment itself can also change over time, which can also impact the dividend yield. If a company increases its dividend payment, the dividend yield will increase even if the stock price remains the same. Similarly, if a company decreases its dividend payment, the dividend yield will decrease.
BG Price Action: Shares of Bunge fell by 1.8% to close at $77.82 on Monday.

How To Earn $500 A Month From Bunge Global Stock Ahead Of Q1 Earnings

Bunge Limited (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BG#NYSE">BG</a>) shares traded on Thursday. Bunge, Repsol Launch Next-Gen Biofuel Initiative In Europe, Target 90% Emissions Cut

Repsol S.A.&#8216;s (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/REPYY#OTC">REPYY</a>) Repsol Resources UK disclosed a strategic merger deal with NEO Energy (NEO) on Thursday, creating a major <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/energy" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">independent producer in the North Sea</a>.
The newly merged entity will be rebranded as NEO NEXT Energy Limited.
As per the deal, the merged entity will be co-owned by NEO (55%) and Repsol UK (45%), with Repsol retaining $1.8 billion in decommissioning liabilities from <a target="_blank" href="https://www.neweuropeanoffshore.com/neo-energy-announces-strategic-merger-with-repsols-uk-business/" rel="noreferrer noopener">its </a>legacy assets.
With the transaction, the new entity will operate a highly diversified portfolio, including 11 production hubs and substantial undeveloped reserves.
The new venture is expected to produce an estimated around 130,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d) in the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) in 2025.
The newly merged entity aims to achieve synergies surpassing $1 billion.
The transaction is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025, upon necessary regulatory approvals and consents.
Francisco Gea, CEO of Repsol E&amp;P said, "This combination will create a jointly governed business which will call upon the key strengths of both shareholders. Repsol contributes operational capabilities on production, development, and decommissioning activities which will be combined with NEO Energy expertise on financial and commercial matters."
John Knight, Chair of NEO UK, added, "The benefits of synergies from consolidation will create much stronger value creation, profit and cash flow yield for shareholders and more options for capital allocation decisions well into the next decade.

Oil prices had their strongest session in over two months Tuesday, with West Texas Intermediate (WTI) light crude climbing 2% to $80 a barrel, and Brent crude rising 1.7%<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/oil"> to $84 a barrel.</a>
The surge in prices is attributed to the anticipation of increased demand with the start of the driving season and ongoing supply constraints. The market expects that OPEC+ will maintain its voluntary output cuts of 2.2 million barrels per day into the second half of the year during its upcoming June 2 meeting. 
The United States Oil Fund (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/USO#NYSE">USO</a>), which tracks the WTI price, rose 3%, factoring in Monday&#8217;s oil performance while U.S. markets were closed for Memorial Day.

Goldman Sachs has revised its long-term global crude demand forecast upward, projecting continued growth until 2034, after which it expects oil consumption to plateau.
&#8220;Peak oil demand is still a decade away,&#8221; Goldman analysts said in a report. Goldman Sachs now forecasts global oil demand to reach 108.5 million barrels per day (mb/d) by 2030, up from a previous estimate of 106 mb/d. The firm predicts peak demand around 2034 at approximately 110 mb/d, followed by a flat trend to 2040.
&#8220;Our view is more bullish than the IEA, which assessed that oil demand peaks before 2030,&#8221; Goldman Sachs said. 
The investment bank foresees a potential scenario where oil demand could even rise to about 113 mb/d by 2040, driven by a slower transition to electric vehicles.
&#8220;The EV market is facing a few headwinds,&#8221; analysts said. 
&#8220;EV subsidies are being cut in several European markets, and continued price competition has led to profit pressure for OEMs and a slower pace of new EV investments. Our Auto team thinks our EV slow-adoption scenario, which predicts a pause this year in EV sales penetration increase, has become more realistic.&#8221;
Goldman Sachs said capital expenditure on crude oil production is slowing, contributing to medium-term supply constraints across the oil value chain.

Repsol S.A.(OTC: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/repyy#OTC">REPYY</a>) joins the U.S. onshore wind market by acquiring renewable energy platform&nbsp;ConnectGen, with a 20,000 MW pipeline and development capabilities, for $768 million.&nbsp;
The acquisition of ConnectGen from Quantum Capital Group is a new milestone in Repsol Renewables&#39; strategy to strengthen its position as a global player in the renewable energy business.
