<li>Here are the key points about the China deal:

<li>Total tariffs will be reduced from 145% to 30%.</li>
<li>Prudent investors should note that as recently as last week, President Trump was floating the idea of reducing China tariffs to 80%.</li>
<li>Prudent investors should also note that on the campaign trail, President Trump promised 60% tariffs on Chinese goods.</li>
<li>30% tariffs are made up for 10% reciprocal tariffs and 20% fentanyl tariffs.</li>
<li>Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says that 20% fentanyl tariffs could be removed if China acts.</li>
<li>The deal is for 90 days.&nbsp; Parties will negotiate further.</li>
<li>The summary of the foregoing is that China tariffs are likely to be only 10% compared to President Trump's campaign trail promise of 60%.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>In our analysis, with only 10% tariffs on China, President Trump will not meet any of his following stated goals: 
<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Eliminating the trade deficit</li>
<li>Raising trillions of dollars in tariffs to offset income tax</li>
<li>Bringing significant manufacturing to the U.S.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Further, in our analysis, President Trump making a U-turn is not good for the U.S. in the very long term.  However, in the short term, this is good for the U.S. economy and stock market.  </li>
<li>Peak tariff uncertainty is over, but peak economic uncertainty is not.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Prudent investors should note that yields are rising again with 10 year Treasuries reaching 4.46%.&nbsp;</li>
<li>In our analysis, if this deal holds, it is the greatest deal China could have possibly expected.  From an investment perspective, there will be merit in due course to buy Chinese stocks.  Chinese stocks are very inexpensive.  Chinese stocks trade at a trailing PE of 14.34 and forward PE of 13.05.  As a reference, U.S. stocks trade at a trailing PE of 24.17 and forward PE of 20.74.  You will see signals in due course. </li>
<li>Adding to the positive sentiment is that neighbors India and Pakistan have agreed to a ceasefire.  The stock market in India is up 3.7%.  There is merit to starting or adding to India positions on dips.  As full disclosure, there is India focused fund Fairfax India Holdings Corp (FFXDF) in our ZYX Buy Core Model Portfolio.  There is also a trade around position on FFXDF.  As full disclosure, India ETFs WisdomTree India Earnings Fund (EPI), VanEck India Growth Leaders ETF (GLIN), and iShares MSCI India Small-Cap ETF (SMIN) are in ZYX Emerging. </li>
<li>Pharmaceutical stocks such as Eli Lilly And Co (LLY), Novo Nordisk A/S (NVO), Merck &amp; Co Inc (MRK), Pfizer Inc (PFE), and Bristol-Myers Squibb Co (BMY) are lower on President Trump's plan to lower drug prices.  As full disclosure, there is a short position in NVO in ZYX Short.</li>

In the early trade, money flows are positive in Apple Inc (AAPL), Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN), Alphabet Inc Class C (GOOG), Meta Platforms Inc (META), Microsoft Corp (MSFT), NVIDIA Corp (NVDA), and Tesla Inc (TSLA).
In the early trade, money flows are positive in S&amp;P 500 ETF (SPY) and Invesco QQQ Trust Series 1 (QQQ).
<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Momo Crowd And Smart Money In Stocks</h4>
Investors can gain an edge by knowing money flows in SPY and QQQ.  Investors can get a bigger edge by knowing when smart money is buying stocks, gold, and oil.  The most popular ETF for gold is SPDR Gold Trust (GLD).  The most popular ETF for silver is iShares Silver Trust (SLV).  The most popular ETF for oil is United States Oil ETF (USO).

Due to China tariffs being dropped to a very low level, global growth is likely to be higher than anticipated as late as Friday.&nbsp; Higher growth means more demand for oil.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Bitcoin is seeing buying but there is some disappointment that whales did not take advantage of low liquidity over the weekend to run bitcoin over $108K.
<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Arora Protection Band And What To Do Now</h4>
It is important for investors to look ahead and not in the rearview mirror.  Our proprietary Protection Band puts all of the data, all of the indicators, all of the news, all of the crosscurrents, all of the models, and all of the analysis in an analytical framework that is easily actionable by investors.
Consider continuing to hold good, very long term, existing positions. Based on individual risk preference, consider a protection band consisting of cash or Treasury bills or short-term tactical trades as well as short to medium term hedges and short term hedges. This is a good way to protect yourself and participate in the upside at the same time.
You can determine your protection bands by adding cash to hedges.&nbsp; The high band of the protection is appropriate for those who are older or conservative. The low band of the protection is appropriate for those who are younger or aggressive.&nbsp; If you do not hedge, the total cash level should be more than stated above but significantly less than cash plus hedges.
A protection band of 0% would be very bullish and would indicate full investment with 0% in cash.&nbsp; A protection band of 100% would be very bearish and would indicate a need for aggressive protection with cash and hedges or aggressive short selling.
It is worth reminding that you cannot take advantage of new upcoming opportunities if you are not holding enough cash.&nbsp; When adjusting hedge levels, consider adjusting partial stop quantities for stock positions (non ETF); consider using wider stops on remaining quantities and also allowing more room for high beta stocks.&nbsp; High beta stocks are the ones that move more than the market.
<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Traditional 60/40 Portfolio</h4>
Probability based risk reward adjusted for inflation does not favor long duration strategic bond allocation at this time.
Those who want to stick to traditional 60% allocation to stocks and 40% to bonds may consider focusing on only high quality bonds and bonds of five year duration or less.&nbsp; Those willing to bring sophistication to their investing may consider using bond ETFs as tactical positions and not strategic positions at this time.

Deploy Cash And Reduce Hedges, Peak Tariff Uncertainty Is Over But Peak Economic Uncertainty Is Not

Monday.com Ltd (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MNDY#NASDAQ">MNDY</a>) posted <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/05/b45343534/monday-com-announces-first-quarter-2025-results" rel="noreferrer noopener">first-quarter results</a> on Monday. The company reported a quarterly revenue growth of 30% year-on-year to $282.3 million, beating the&nbsp;consensus of $275.8 million.&nbsp;
The project management software&nbsp;company&#8217;s&nbsp;adjusted EPS of $1.10 beat the&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/earnings" rel="noreferrer noopener">analyst consensus estimate</a> of $0.70.
The net dollar retention rate was 112%&nbsp;and 115%&nbsp;for customers with more than ten users.

The number of paid customers with over $50,000 in annual recurring revenue (ARR) rose 38%&nbsp;year over year&nbsp;to 3,444. The adjusted operating margin increased 400 bps to 14%.
In the quarter, Monday.com generated an operating cash flow of $112 million compared to $92 million a year ago.
It generated $110 million in free cash flow, compared to $90 million a year ago, and ended the quarter with $1.6 billion in cash and equivalents.
Co-CEOs Roy Mann and Eran Zinman noted strong revenue growth in the first quarter, record operating profit, and its highest-ever adjusted free cash flow for a single quarter.
Outlook: Monday.com expects fiscal second-quarter 2025 revenue of $292 million to $294&nbsp;million against the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/guidance" rel="noreferrer noopener">analyst consensus estimate</a> of $275.8 million and an adjusted operating margin of 11% to 12%.
Monday.com expects 2025 revenue of $1.220 billion to $1.226 billion (<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/02/43596316/mondaycom-q4-earnings-beats-estimates-with-32-revenue-growth-ceo-highlights-ai-as-a-game-changer-for-2025" rel="noreferrer noopener">prior $1.208 billion to $1.221 billion</a>), against the analyst consensus estimate of $1.210 billion, and an adjusted operating margin of approximately 12% (prior 11% to 12%).

Shares of banks and financial services stocks are higher after the US and China agreed to a temporary reduction in most tariffs on each other's goods. A reduction in tariffs could alleviate macro uncertainty in the lending and deal environment.

Tesla, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) investor Gary Black recently took to X to share his view on several critical challenges facing the electric car company as it aims to launch an autonomous<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/government/regulations/25/05/45347089/wall-street-rips-higher-as-tariff-truce-halts-us-china-economic-escalation"> ride-hailing network. </a>
What To Know: Black, a managing partner at Future Fund LLC, doesn&#8217;t expect Tesla to make money with its robotaxi service for several years. After all, it must still create a network of riders and compete with established rail-hailing services like Uber Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/UBER#NYSE">UBER</a>) and Lyft, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/LYFT#NASDAQ">LYFT</a>), he says.

While Tesla is making tangible progress in testing its ride-hailing service internally in cities like Austin, Texas and San Francisco and applying for key permits in California, road-to-market dominance is far from assured. 
The Road Ahead: Tesla is forging ahead and is set to launch its robotaxi service in Austin in June. The company is also working to deploy driverless robotaxis at Los Angeles International Airport, but it still needs additional approvals from the California Public Utilities Commission and the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Bullish: Despite the criticism, Black remains bullish on Tesla. He said that the EV giant could stand to gain from increased EV adoption globally.
&#8220;We own $TSLA because as global EV adoption increases from its current 20% to 50% by 2030, TSLA deliveries should increase from 1.7M in 2025 to 5.0M by 2030,&#8221; he shared in a separate social media post.&nbsp;
Black also sees autonomous driving boosting <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/equities/25/05/45341220/top-bull-gary-black-shares-why-he-is-holding-on-to-uber-and-tsla-our-investment-thesis-on">Tesla's sales</a> and set a $310 price target on Tesla stock.&nbsp;
&#8220;We expect unsupervised autonomy to sell more Teslas and increase the FSD take rate from its current 15% to 33%.&#8221; the investor said.

Ball Corporation ("Ball") (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BALL#NYSE">BALL</a>) announced today that it priced an underwritten public offering of €850 million aggregate principal amount of 4.250% Senior Notes due 2032 (the "Notes"). The aggregate principal amount of the Notes to be issued in the offering was increased to €850 million from the previously announced €750 million. The offering is expected to close on May 19, 2025, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
Ball intends to use the net proceeds from the offering, together with cash on hand, for general corporate purposes, which may include the refinancing or repayment of debt, potential investments in strategic alliances and acquisitions, working capital, pension contributions or capital expenditures. Prior to the application of such proceeds, Ball intends to repay outstanding borrowings under its U.S. dollar revolver, without a reduction in commitment, using a portion of the net proceeds from the offering, together with cash on hand. The exact allocation of such proceeds and the timing thereof is at the discretion of Ball's management.

U.S. auto safety investigators asked Tesla to answer questions on the automaker's plans to launch a paid robotaxi service in Austin, Texas, in June to assess how it will perform in poor weather.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in a letter made public Monday noted it has an ongoing investigation into Tesla Full-Self Driving collisions in reduced roadway visibility conditions.
NHTSA said it is seeking additional information about Tesla's development of robotaxis "to assess the ability of Tesla's system to react appropriately to reduced roadway visibility conditions."

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">List Every Debt You Owe</h2>
Listing every debt you owe will give you a clear picture of how much you owe. You can also craft a plan of attack the moment you list your financial obligations.
Sethi recommends listing every debt's balance, interest rate, and minimum monthly payment. He refers to interest as a silent killer that makes it more difficult to get out of debt. Credit cards are pretty notorious for this, with some credit card issuers charging 30% APR on their customers' balances.
It can be painstaking to gather all of your debts. Start with the ones you see often, such as your credit card debt, mortgage, and auto loan payments.&nbsp;

However, a credit report may contain some mistakes, such as showing an old debt that you have already paid off. Getting this information corrected on your credit report can boost your credit score. A higher credit score can make it easier to secure lower interest rates on your future debt.
Sethi suggests using <a href="http://annualcreditreport.com/">AnnualCreditReport.com</a> to pull your free report. You are allowed a free copy of your credit report from each of the three major credit bureaus every 12 months.&nbsp;
