Procter & Gamble Earnings Are Imminent; These Most Accurate Analysts Revise Forecasts Ahead Of Earnings Call

Philip Morris International Inc. (PMI) has been informed by its deconsolidated Canadian affiliate, Rothmans,Benson &amp; Hedges Inc. (RBH), that the court-appointed mediator and monitor in RBH's Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) proceeding filed a proposed plan of compromise and arrangement (Proposed Plan) outlining certain terms of a comprehensive resolution of tobacco product-related claims and litigation in Canada against RBH and its affiliates. The court-appointed mediator and monitors also filed substantially similar proposed plans for Imperial Tobacco Canada Limited and Imperial Tobacco Company Limited (together, ITL) and JTI-Macdonald Corp. (JTIM).
Under the Proposed Plan, if ultimately approved and implemented, RBH, ITL and JTIM (the Companies) would pay an aggregate settlement amount of CAD 32.5 billion (approximately USD 23.5 billion). This amount would be funded by an upfront payment equal to the Companies' cash and cash equivalents on hand in Canada plus certain court deposits (subject to an aggregate withholding of CAD 750 million (approximately USD 540 million) for working capital inclusive of cash pledged as collateral) and annual payments based on a percentage of the Companies' net income after taxes (excluding that generated by certain non-combustible products including heat-not-burn, e-vapor and nicotine pouch products) until the aggregate settlement amount is paid. As stated in the Proposed Plan, the issue of allocation of the CAD 32.5 billion aggregate settlement as between the Companies in the CCAA proceedings remains unresolved.
"After years of mediation, we welcome this important step towards the resolution of long-pending tobacco product-related litigation in Canada," said Jacek Olczak, Chief Executive Officer of PMI. "Although important issues with the plan remain to be resolved, we are hopeful that this legal process will soon conclude, allowing RBH and its stakeholders to focus on the future."

What Happened: Waymo will credit $3 to riders&#8217; accounts if they take an autonomous ride to or from eligible Bay Area transit stations. These credits can be used for future rides.
The program started on Oct. 17 and will go on till Nov.15. The credits can be used until Dec. 31, according to a statement from Waymo. 
&#8220;By offering electric rides on demand and improving access to public transit, Waymo One is making daily travel more sustainable and convenient,&#8221; said Adam Lenz, Head of Sustainability and Environment at Waymo.

UiPath&nbsp;(NYSE:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/path-stock-quote/">PATH</a>) stock is falling on Thursday after the end-to-end automation company announced a <a href="https://www.nasdaq.com/press-release/uipath-re-appoint-daniel-dines-chief-executive-officer-rob-enslin-steps-down-ceo-and">change in CEOs</a> during its latest earnings report.



UiPath&nbsp;says that Rob Enslin is stepping down as the CEO and a Board member of the company. This has the company reappointing Daniel Dines as its next CEO. Dines is the founder and previous CEO of the company.



This change is set to go into effect on Saturday. Enslin will stick around in an advisory role to ensure a smooth transition between CEOs. It&rsquo;s also worth noting that Dines is the Chief Innovation Officer and Executive Chairman of the company.



The UiPath&nbsp;founder said the following about taking back the CEO role.




&ldquo;I thank Rob for his contributions to&nbsp;UiPath&nbsp;during the past two years, during which he played a significant role in the company&rsquo;s growth. With this change, I&rsquo;m excited to step back into the CEO role and I am looking forward to leading the company through our next phase of profitable growth and innovation.&rdquo;




<h2>PATH Stock: Q1 Earnings</h2>



News of the CEO change is dragging down PATH stock despite <a href="https://www.nasdaq.com/press-release/uipath-reports-first-quarter-fiscal-2025-financial-results-2024-05-29">positive fiscal Q1 2025 results</a>. The company reported adjusted EPS and revenue of 13 cents and $335.11 million. Both of these are better than Wall Street&rsquo;s estimates of 12 cents per share and revenue of $333.01 million.



Unfortunately, its revenue guidance isn&rsquo;t helping matters. The company expects Q2 revenue to range from $300 million&nbsp;to&nbsp;$305 million and fiscal revenue between $1.405 billion&nbsp;to&nbsp;$1.41 billion. For comparison, analysts&rsquo; estimates are sitting at $342.33 million for Q2 and $1.56 billion for the year.



PATH stock is down 30.4% as of Thursday morning.

NovaBay Pharmaceuticals&nbsp;(NYSEMKT:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/nby-stock-quote/">NBY</a>) stock is falling hard on Thursday after the eyecare and wound care company announced results from its annual shareholder meeting.



Included among the proposals in the annual shareholder meeting was a <a href="https://www.nasdaq.com/press-release/novabay-pharmaceuticals-announces-approval-all-proposals-its-2024-annual-meeting">reverse stock split</a>. Traders voted in favor of allowing the company&rsquo;s Board of Directors to enact a reverse split of NBY shares.



Following that, NovaBay Pharmaceuticals announced that its Board has approved a one-for-35 reverse stock split for NBY. This will combine 35 shares of NBY stock into a single share.



NovaBay Pharmaceuticals says that this reverse stock split is set to go into effect after markets close today. That will result in shares of NBY trading on a post-split basis when markets open tomorrow.



<h2>What&rsquo;s Behind the NBY Reverse Stock Split?</h2>



NovaBay Pharmaceuticals sought permission for the reverse stock split as a way to boost the price of its shares. The company&rsquo;s stock was trading below the minimum bid price required to remain on the NYSE American Exchange.



NovaBay Pharmaceuticals notes that its shares will continue to trade under the NBY ticker after the split. However, they will switch to new CUSIP number &ldquo;66987P 409.&rdquo;



NBY stock is down 38.8% as of Thursday morning and was down 14.2% year-to-date when markets closed yesterday.
