Chefs' Warehouse shares are trading higher after BMO Capital, Benchmark and UBS raised their respective price targets on the stock

Shares of AppLovin Corp (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/APP#NASDAQ">APP</a>) were climbing in early trading on Thursday, after the company reported <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/02/43676556/applovin-stock-soars-on-q4-earnings-revenue-beat-eps-beat-strong-guidance-and-more">upbeat fourth-quarter results</a>.
The company reported its quarterly results amid an <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/earnings">positive earnings season</a>. Here are some key analyst takeaways.
BofA Securities On AppLovin
<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-stock-ratings/analyst/627d2395766cb1000166ef56/omar-dessouky">Analyst Omar Dessouky</a> reaffirmed a Buy rating, while raising the price target from $375 to $580.
The magnitude of AppLovin's fourth-quarter beat was "completely unexpected," Dessouky said in a note. eCommerce is estimated to have contributed around $100 million in revenues in the quarter in addition to the 7% sequential growth in net revenue from mobile game advertisers, he added.
The high end of management's revenue guidance for the first quarter reflects 5% sequential growth, "driven by self-learning in both eCommerce and Gaming models," the analyst stated. "APP&#8217;s reported financial performance supports the notion that eCommerce ads work and that revenue could scale to penetrate 10mn+ merchants globally," he further wrote.
JPMorgan On AppLovin
<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-stock-ratings/analyst/6006d04ba6fe6f00019855f6/cory-carpenter">Analyst Cory Carpenter</a> reiterated a Neutral rating, while lifting the price target from $325 to $475.
AppLovin's advertising revenue growth accelerated from 17% sequentially in the previous quarter to 20% in the fourth quarter and came in significantly higher than the guidance of 4%-5%, Carpenter said. Adjusted EBITDA of $848 million represented 78% year-on-year growth and beat the guidance of $740 million to $760 million, he added.
"APP also noted successful early pilots in verticals beyond e-commerce such as fintech, insurance, automotive, and healthcare," the analyst wrote. Management guided to revenues of $1,355 million to $1,385 million, up 29% year-on-year as well as adjusted EBITDA of $855 million to $885 million, up 59%, well above consensus estimates of $1,319 million and $794 million, respectively, he stated.
Benchmark On AppLovin
<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-stock-ratings/analyst/5935519f85b07a0001c0bc58/mike-hickey">Analyst Mike Hickey</a> maintained a Buy rating, while raising the price target from $375 to $525.
AppLovin reported 73% year-on-year in advertising revenue growth, Hickey said. The company's first-quarter revenue and AEBITDA guidance came 4% and 10% above consensus, respectively, "fueled by AI-driven ad optimization, non-gaming expansion, and self-serve advertising tools," he added.
"AppLovin is undergoing a strategic transformation, shifting from a gaming-centric ad platform to a pure-play adtech leader with a focus on AI-driven advertising and automation," the analyst wrote. The company's robust performance in the fourth quarter "underscores its ability to scale profitably."

Piper Sandler On AppLovin
Analyst James Callahan reaffirmed an Overweight rating, while raising the price target from $400 to $575.
AppLovin continues to execute well across its gaming and non-gaming verticals, while the latter is no longer limited to eCommerce, Callahan said. The company should witness "multiple years of revenue tailwinds from new verticals," he added.
AppLovin announced its plans to sell off the lower-margin Apps segment, "which should simplify the story," the analyst stated. "Management reaffirmed that E-Commerce can be material in 2025," he wrote.  
Goldman Sachs On AppLovin
<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-stock-ratings/analyst/587e33195064ed000173030b/eric-sheridan">Analyst Eric Sheridan</a> reiterated a Neutral rating, while lifting the price target from $335 to $500.
The company reported strong operating results and announced the divestiture of its apps (mobile gaming) business, which is likely to close in the second quarter, Sheridan said.
"The company still sees technological advancements (driven by AI and the continued improvements in their AXON 2.0 platform) as driving multiple initiatives for 2025 that can widen the advertiser base, deepen advertiser budget growth, improve self-serve dynamics and result in more ads personalization over the medium/long-term," the analyst wrote.
Oppenheimer On AppLovin
<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-stock-ratings/analyst/6012b214a6fe6f0001bd7e3c/martin-yang">Analyst Martin Yang</a> maintained an Outperform rating, while raising the price target from $480 to $560.
AppLovin has decided to expand beyond ecommerce, Yang said.
"Its adtech solution works well not only for mid-market e-commerce brands, but also for companies in fintech, healthcare, automotive, and insurance, which have seen strong results in the pilot," the analyst wrote. The company will be rolling out a self-service dashboard powered by AI agents this year, "which will allow non-game business to scale faster across industries," he added.
Needham On AppLovin
<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-stock-ratings/analyst/587635595064ed000140010c/scott-berg">Analyst Bernie McTernan</a> reaffirmed a Hold rating on the stock.
AppLovin generated advertising revenue "at elevated levels" for two consecutive quarters, with 17.5% growth in the third and 19.7% in the fourth quarter, McTernan said. Its ad revenue growth was "driven by underlying model improvements from the model getter smart, engineering improvements on the models and new verticals revenue helping to drive seasonal strength" 
The ad spend from new verticals in the fourth quarter suggest that the pilot program is "off to a strong start," the analyst stated. "The company is working on a gen-AI enabled self service platform that should accelerate new verticals revenue." 
APP Price Action: Shares of AppLovin had risen by 23.26% to $468.79 at the time of publication on Thursday.

AppLovin's Stock Rallies After Solid Q4 Growth, Underscores Ability To Scale Profitably, Analysts Say

On Wednesday, 10x Genomics Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TXG#NASDAQ">TXG</a>) reported a fourth-quarter EPS loss of $(0.40), missing the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/earnings" rel="noreferrer noopener">consensus estimate of $(0.30)</a>.
The single-cell and spatial biology company reported quarterly sales of $165.02 million, down 10% year over year, beating the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/02/n43674610/10x-genomics-reports-fourth-quarter-and-full-year-2024-financial-results-and-provides-outlook-for-" rel="noreferrer noopener">consensus of $159.39 million</a>.
Gross margin was 67% for the fourth quarter of 2024 compared to 63% a year ago, primarily due to product mix changes.
10x Genomics' instruments sales fell to $24.35 million from $38.4 million a year ago. This included $10.93 million from Chromium instruments and $13.43 million from Spatial instruments.
Consumables sales decreased from $140.31 million to $133.53 million. Of this, Chromium consumables accounted for $97.74 million, and Spatial consumables generated $35.79 million.
Additionally, services revenue experienced a growth from $5.27 million to $7.14 million.
Guidance: 10x Genomics forecasts fiscal year 2025 sales of $610 million-$630 million, lower than the consensus of $631.14 million. At the midpoint, this guidance implies double-digit growth for both Chromium reactions and overall spatial revenue.
William Blair says the management noted that its guidance does not anticipate any improvements in the macro environment and contemplates a roughly $7 million impact from <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/biotech/25/02/43618745/us-states-sue-national-institutes-of-health-over-4-billion-annual-cut-in-biomedical-research-grant-budget" rel="noreferrer noopener">NIH funding uncertainties</a>.

Blueprint Medicines shares are trading lower after company reported worse-than-expected Q4 EPS results.

Shares of Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies Corporation (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/WAB#NYSE">WAB</a>) got crushed yesterday after missing earnings. But they may be about to reverse and move higher.
The shares are oversold and at support. This is why Westinghouse is our <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/stock-of-the-day">Stock of the Day</a>.
As you can see on the chart, the $187 level has been support for the shares since October.
Support is a large group of investors or traders who are looking to buy shares at, or close to the same price. At support levels, there is enough demand to absorb all of the supply of shares that are for sale in a market.
This is why selloffs end or at least pause when they reach them.

Sometimes stocks rally after they reach a support level. That's what happened with Westinghouse in December and January and it may be about to happen again.
Stocks can rally off of support levels because of buyer's anxiety. Sometimes buyers can become anxious. They know that whoever wants to sell is going to go to whoever is willing to pay the highest price. They are afraid they will be outbid and they don't want to miss the trade.
So, they increase the prices they are willing to pay. Other anxious buyers see this and decide to do the same thing. This can result in a bidding war or snowball effect that pushes the price higher.
In addition, the stock is very oversold.
The red line on the chart below is two standard deviations below the 20-day moving average. Statistics and probability theory suggest that 95% of trading should be within two standard deviations of the mean. Since WAB exceeded this threshold to the downside, it will get the attention of trading algorithms and programs that are driven by statistics.

They will be anticipating a reversion to the mean or a move higher. This will draw them into the market as buyers, and they could put upward pressure on the stock.
Shares of Westinghouse are at support while being oversold. These dynamics could set the stage for a move higher.

Stock Of The Day: Is Westinghouse About To Rally?

Most people will not notice the importance of this week. They will be far too busy talking about things like AI eating the world, China taking over the government, and Elon Musk ascending to the Interplanetary throne to notice. 
The media will not be much help. They will be busy covering the vast conspiracy surrounding the President&#8217;s bathroom schedule and the whereabouts of Scaramucci&#8217;s mom.
The instant experts of the Internet will be far too busy touting the new nuclear plants that will fit in your pocket and allow you to mine Bitcoin and develop a personal AGI program on the go. The fancier models will apparently have an adapter that allows you to mount the reactor to your dash and simultaneously power your vehicle&#8217;s onboard entertainment system.
First, and most importantly, pitchers and catchers report this week. It is, as the saying goes, huge. I already have my tickets to catch the Orioles when they come to town, and I am ready for baseball season.
This week is also the deadline for 13F filings at the SEC. These handy documents contain all the stocks owned by the nation&#8217;s money managers, hedge funds, and other big-money types.
Comparing this quarter&#8217;s filings to the last gives us a picture of what big money (only some of which is Smart Money) was buying and selling in the final quarter of 2024. The media and instant experts will cover the duplicate half-dozen filings they always cover. We will cover the ones our research indicates are highly likely to help us locate stock ideas that deliver the outsized returns we seek.

Here are the top three banks that PL Capital has been buying recently:
F.N.B. Corp (Ticker: FNB) is a Pittsburgh-based bank with 350 banking offices throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Washington, D.C., and Virginia. FNB already reported earnings and is firing on all cylinders. Deposits and demand both grew, and tangible book value was up double digits year over year. The bank has plenty of capital and the loan portfolio is solid.
BankFinancial Corporation (Ticker: BFIN) has 19 branches in the Chicago Metropolitan area. The bank is well-capitalized and has a solid loan portfolio. Given its size and market, I would be less than surprised to see a larger bank that wanted to expand in the Chicago metro market make an offer for this bank at some point in 2025.
Franklin Financial (Ticker: FRAF) has 24 branches in South Central Pennsylvania and Northwestern Maryland. Franklin has a pristine loan portfolio, sufficient capital, and trades at a reasonable valuation. Investors who accumulated the stock on pullbacks should do very well over the next year.
All three are in excellent financial shape, have strong loan portfolios, and trade at attractive valuations.
Keeping with the week&#8217;s most important news, I noticed that media mogul John Malone shared my excitement at baseball&#8217;s return. In January, he acquired shares of Atlanta Braves Holdings (Ticker: BATRK) worth over $3 million, adding to his substantial stake in the baseball team. The Braves are one of the most popular teams in baseball, and last year, they drew over 3 million fans to Truist Park. Braves games are a staple on TV and radio stations across the Southeastern United States. The team will be good again this year and is the early favorite to win their division and make the playoffs in 2025.
Atlanta Braves Holdings also owns a mixed-use development around the stadium with retail, residential, office, hotel, and entertainment opportunities known as The Battery Atlanta. The shops and restaurants are a source of year-round revenue and appear to be undervalued by the current stock price.
I have hit (pardon the too-easy pun) home runs with shares of the Cleveland Indians and Boston Celtics in my career, and every time we have a bad market or the Braves suffer a losing streak, I add to my Braves Holdings position hoping lightning strikes a third time.

Rodriguez said the store previously sold a dozen eggs for $2.49 before the recent spikes related to bird flu. A plastic bag of three eggs now sells for $2.99 at the store.
The store, which serves a large number of low-income consumers, is seeing demand for the loosies over buying a dozen eggs at a time. Rodriguez said around one-third of the store's customers are buying the three packs rather than the dozen eggs.
Rodriguez, who is from the Dominican Republic, said that his home country used to sell single eggs. "I know how difficult it is for families to afford eggs and milk."
Other bodegas are catching on to the practice and using the same method. According to the report, selling cigarettes individually is illegal and selling eggs out of the dozen could also be a potential illegal practice.
