JP Morgan analyst Matthew R. Boss reiterated the Neutral rating on American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AEO#NYSE">AEO</a>), <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/AEO/analyst-ratings" rel="noreferrer noopener">lowering the price forecast from $10 to $9.</a>
American Eagle shares fell <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/05/45414387/american-eagle-stock-is-sliding-today-heres-why" rel="noreferrer noopener">nearly 15% in after-hours trading Tuesday</a>. The company reported preliminary first-quarter results that revealed disappointing sales and a significant inventory write-down.
The retailer said it expects first-quarter revenue of $1.1 billion, a 5% decline from the prior year.
According to Boss, American Eagle Outfitters is positioned to achieve long-term growth across both the AE and Aerie brands, with expected consolidated revenue growth of 3% to 5% and potential operating margin expansion driven by fixed cost leverage.

However, the analyst cautions that recent softening in sales and unpredictable consumer behavior over the past six months could lead to uneven performance and pose execution risks.
Boss also highlights markdowns as a possible concern if demand volatility persists.
The analyst points out that for the first quarter, they are modeling a 1.0% year-over-year increase in SG&amp;A expenses, slightly above management's prior guidance for flat growth.
Boss attributes this minor difference to timing shifts in advertising investments, which appear to have caused a temporary uptick in spending compared to the company's flat expense plan.
The analyst revised the FY25 forecast downward, now expecting a 3.1% year-over-year revenue decline, compared to their earlier estimate of a 2.4% drop.
This reflects a low-single-digit percentage decline in revenue during the second half of FY25, as opposed to the analyst&#8217;s previous assumption of flat growth.
Additionally, Boss adjusted the FY25 gross margin estimate to 36.0%, down 320 basis points from the prior 38.1% forecast, while maintaining the same tariff impact assumption based on management's earlier $5–10 million guidance from March 12.

American Eagle Slumps After Weak Q1 Preview, Analyst Cuts Forecasts On Demand Concerns

A new 90-day pause and <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/government/regulations/25/05/45347089/wall-street-rips-higher-as-tariff-truce-halts-us-china-economic-escalation">lowered tariff amounts </a>between the United States and China have helped send the stock market higher with the S&amp;P 500 drifting back into positive territory for 2025.
The stock market gains have also helped the richest people in the world get richer. Here's a look at how the top 10 billionaires list is shaping up this year.
What Happened: The 10 richest people in the world <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/management/25/01/42771258/worlds-top-10-richest-people-gained-more-wealth-in-2024-than-costco-and-nikes-combined-valuation-how-elon-musk-warren-buffett-and-others-fared">added $518 billion</a> to their wealth in 2024, ending the year worth a combined $2.02 trillion.
After the stock market&#8217;s strong 2024, the wealth of the world's richest has been significantly different in 2025.
As of May 13, only four of the world&#8217;s ten richest individuals have posted gains in 2025. That&#8217;s up from just three in late March, and the group&#8217;s total combined wealth is inching closer to positive for the year after sharp declines in March and April.

Why It's Important: Many of the world's richest have wealth tied to technology stocks, a sector hit hard by tariffs on China. With the 90-day pause and lower tariff amount, technology stocks have rebounded and helped boost the wealth of many people.
The SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SPY#NYSE">SPY</a>), which tracks the S&amp;P 500, is up 0.6% year-to-date in 2025 after spending months in the red.
While Musk&#8217;s wealth dropped significantly in 2025, it could be getting closer to returning to the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/management/24/12/42444955/elon-musk-first-person-worth-400-billion-as-tesla-stock-hits-new-all-time-highs-how-2024-election-helped-could-lead-to-future-gains" target="_blank" rel="noopener">more than $400 billion</a> figure he had in December 2024, when Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) stock hit all-time highs.
Tesla stock is up 37% over the last month and shares are currently down 8.1% year-to-date in 2025, reversing trends from being down double digits on the year. Musk's wealth was $320 billion in late March and $310 billion in late April.
With five months complete in 2025, more than half the year remains to see if the 10 richest people in the world end with a positive wealth gain or if factors like tariffs and macroeconomic concerns send stocks lower again.

COIN stock, at $259.55, is in a solid bullish trend as it trades above its 8-day simple moving average (SMA) of $215.29, 20-day SMA of $203.17, and 50-day SMA of $191.77. The stock has also broken above key resistance in its 200-day SMA, which sits at $225.25, recording a bullish breakout.
In terms of momentum, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at 75.24, suggesting COIN stock may be in overbought territory — but strong buying pressure continues to fuel the rally. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator is at 11.81, underscoring bullish momentum.
Coinbase&#8217;s first quarter earnings, while mixed, delivered earnings per share of $1.94 versus the $1.85 estimate, a 4.86% surprise. Revenue came in lighter than expected at $2.03 billion versus $2.12 billion. But Wall Street didn't blink. The post-earnings move was driven largely by Coinbase becoming the first pure-play crypto firm to join the S&amp;P 500 Index &#8211; a major milestone that could significantly lift institutional ownership, which remains low relative to Coinbase's scale.
The announcement of its $2.9 billion acquisition of Deribit &#8211; a global leader with 75% market share in crypto options and $30 billion in open interest &#8211; only sweetened the deal for investors.
If technicals are any guide, COIN stock may not be done yet &#8211; though traders will want to keep a close eye on that rising RSI.

Shares of pharmaceutical stocks are trading lower. The sector may down on continued weakness amid President Trump's drug pricing executive order.

The U.S. Centers for Medicare &amp; Medicaid Services (CMS) on Monday issued a draft guidance for public comment on the third cycle of negotiations under the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program (Negotiation Program) to <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/05/45234032/fda-expands-surprise-inspections-at-foreign-drug-and-food-facilities-targets-double-standards-in-overseas-manufacturing-oversight" rel="noreferrer noopener">lower prescription drug prices</a>.
The draft guidance introduces new policies that would, for the first time, include drugs covered under Medicare Part B in the Medicare <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/health-care" rel="noreferrer noopener">Drug Price Negotiation Program</a>.
The <a target="_blank" href="https://www.cms.gov/newsroom/press-releases/cms-releases-draft-guidance-third-cycle-medicare-drug-price-negotiation-program-lower-drug-prices" rel="noreferrer noopener">guidance</a> also explains how CMS plans to renegotiate prices for some drugs already negotiated for 2026 or 2027.
It clarifies how drugmakers must make the negotiated prices available in those years and extends similar rules for Part D drugs through 2028.
The first round of negotiations, covering 10 Part D drugs, ended in August 2024. A second round, <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/01/43062779/popular-ozempic-wegovy-selected-for-next-round-of-medicare-drug-price-negotiations" rel="noreferrer noopener">involving 15 more Part D drugs</a>, is currently underway.

By Feb. 1, 2026, CMS will announce up to 15 additional drugs, covered under either Part D or Part B, for possible negotiation in the third round. Negotiations for this third group will happen in 2026, with new prices taking effect Jan. 1, 2028.
On the same date, CMS will publish the list of drugs selected for initial price negotiations for 2028 and announce any drugs picked for a first round of renegotiation. Those updated prices will also start on January 1, 2028.
CMS invites the public to comment on this draft guidance, including the drug selection process, how negotiated prices are implemented, and ways to improve the program.
The public comment period is open for 45 days. Comments must be submitted by June 26.
Goldman Sachs analyst Asad Haider says investors are concerned about fixed-combination drugs. The draft points out cases where one ingredient affects how the drug is absorbed but doesn&#8217;t treat the disease itself. This has led to worries that some subcutaneous (SC) versions of drugs that IV originally gave might be included in Medicare price negotiations under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) earlier than expected.
The prior CMS guidance issued under the Biden Administration suggested that sub-q formulations of IV drugs could be excluded from IRA price negotiations.
Stocks of companies with key SC drugs in focus, Johnson &amp; Johnson&#8217;s (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/JNJ#NYSE">JNJ</a>) Darzalex Faspro, Bristol-Myers Squibb &amp; Co&#8217;s (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BMY#NYSE">BMY</a>) Opdivo Qvantig, and Merck &amp; Co Inc&#8217;s (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MRK#NYSE">MRK</a>) subcutaneous pembrolizumab/Keytruda (in development), are trading lower.
&#8220;At a higher level, we view this development as another aspect of policy uncertainty that continues to persist, in addition to the Most Favored Nation Executive Order and potential for tariffs&#8230;In our view, this underscores a need for the industry to pursue novel innovations over incremental life cycle management strategies — a dynamic which we believe could lead to increased M&amp;A activity,&#8221; analyst Haider writes.

CMS Expands Medicare Drug Price Talks To Part B Meds In 2026 Shake Up

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted accelerated approval to AbbVie&nbsp;Inc.&#8217;s (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ABBV#NYSE">ABBV</a>) Emrelis&nbsp;(telisotuzumab vedotin-tllv) for adult patients with locally advanced or metastatic, non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with high c-Met protein overexpression (OE) who have <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/health-care" rel="noreferrer noopener">received a prior systemic therapy</a>.
High c-Met protein overexpression is defined as ≥ 50% of tumor cells with strong (3+) staining as determined <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/05/n45415840/u-s-fda-approves-emrelis-telisotuzumab-vedotin-tllv-for-adults-with-previously-treated-advanced-no" rel="noreferrer noopener">by an FDA-approved test</a>.
This indication is approved based on overall response rate (ORR) and duration of response (DOR).
Continued approval for this indication may be contingent upon verification and description of clinical benefit in a confirmatory trial(s), the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

Emrelis is a c-Met-directed antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) and the first and only treatment approved for this patient population.&nbsp;
ADCs are designed to target unique biomarkers such as the c-Met protein and deliver a potent &#8216;payload&#8217; directly to the biomarker-expressing cell.
Data from the Phase 2 LUMINOSITY study, designed to characterize the efficacy and safety of EMRELIS in c-Met overexpressing advanced NSCLC populations, support the FDA&#8217;s accelerated approval.
Findings from the study showed patients with high c-Met protein overexpression (n=84) who received Emrelis demonstrated a 35% Overall Response Rate (ORR) and Duration of Response (DOR) with a median of 7.2 months.

Enrollment in the study is underway and continues across global clinical trial sites.
The FDA has also approved Roche Holdings AG&#8217;s (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/RHHBY#OTC">RHHBY</a>) VENTANA&nbsp;MET (SP44) RxDx Assay, the only IHC companion diagnostic identifying patients eligible for Emrelis treatment.
On Wednesday, AbbVie&nbsp;and ADARx Pharmaceuticals announced a collaboration and license option agreement to develop small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutics across multiple disease areas, including neuroscience, <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/05/n45405186/abbvie-and-adarx-pharmaceuticals-announce-collaboration-and-license-option-agreement-to-develop-ne" rel="noreferrer noopener">immunology, and oncology</a>.
siRNA represents a class of molecules capable of regulating gene expression and protein production. Unlike traditional modalities such as antibodies and small molecules, siRNA regulates gene expression. These molecules are designed to prevent the production of disease-causing proteins by targeting the messenger RNA (mRNA) that encodes for such proteins.
ADARx will receive a&nbsp;$335 million&nbsp;upfront payment and is eligible to receive several billion dollars in additional contingent payments, including option-related fees, milestone payments, and royalties.

Making weight loss injections available to all eligible individuals in the U.K. could yield an economic boost of 4.5 billion pounds (around $5.99 billion) annually, according to new research presented at the European Congress <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/weight-loss" rel="noreferrer noopener">on Obesity in Málaga, Spain</a>.
The findings highlight the broader societal and productivity benefits of Novo Nordisk A/S&#8217; (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NVO#NYSE">NVO</a>) semaglutide, a drug known by brand names such as Wegovy and Ozempic.
Globally, obesity is projected to affect 3.8 billion adults and nearly 750 million children and adolescents by 2050.

In the U.K., 26.5% of adults are currently obese, and 4.6 million people live with type 2 diabetes. These conditions cost the U.K. an estimated 100 billion pounds annually in healthcare and related expenses, according to the Guardian report.
The study examined data from 2,660 participants in U.K. clinical trials who were living with obesity and/or type 2 diabetes.
Researchers found that those taking semaglutide could work five additional days per year and contribute 12 extra days of unpaid labor, such as volunteering or childcare.
This increase in productivity translated to an average annual &#8220;net production value&#8221; of 1,127 pounds per person.
Applied nationally, the researchers estimated potential productivity gains of 4.31 billion pounds from treating individuals with severe obesity and 200 million pounds from treating those with type 2 diabetes.
Currently, NHS guidelines recommend semaglutide for patients with a BMI of 35 or higher and at least one weight-related condition.
However, some experts cautioned against widespread access due to high drug costs.
The U.K. Health Secretary Wes Streeting acknowledged the findings, calling the drugs &#8220;colossal&#8221; tools in the fight against obesity and a potential means to reintegrate unemployed Britons into the workforce. He said the government would carefully assess the research.
Semaglutide and liraglutide may also have implications beyond weight loss.
Citing another study presented at the Málaga conference, the Guardian <a target="_blank" href="https://www.theguardian.com/society/2025/may/09/weight-loss-jabs-bolster-uk-economy-study-semaglutide" rel="noreferrer noopener">report</a> on Friday highlighted that overweight adults taking the drugs cut their alcohol consumption by nearly two-thirds in just four months.
The study tracked 262 individuals in Ireland and Saudi Arabia and reported a drop in weekly alcohol intake from 11.3 to 4.3 units. Among regular drinkers, consumption fell from 23.2 to 7.8 units—an effect greater than that seen with nalmefene, a drug currently prescribed in Europe for alcohol use disorder.

Besides going to a brokerage platform to purchase a share &#8211; or fractional share &#8211; of stock, you can also gain access to shares either by buying an exchange traded fund (ETF) that holds the stock itself, or by allocating yourself to a strategy in your 401(k) that would seek to acquire shares in a mutual fund or other instrument. 
For example, in Carvana&#8217;s case, it is in the Consumer Discretionary sector. An ETF will likely hold shares in many liquid and large companies that help track that sector, allowing an investor to gain exposure to the trends within that segment.

Rigetti Computing, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/RGTI#NASDAQ">RGTI</a>) shares are trading higher Wednesday. The company reported first-quarter earnings on Monday after <a href="https://www.benzinga.com//node/45379735">the market closed.</a>
What To Know: The company reported earnings per share of 13 cents, beating the consensus estimate of a 6 cent-loss. In addition, it reported sales of $1.47 million, missing the consensus estimate of $2.55 million and representing a 51.77% decrease in sales year-over-year.
Rigetti reported that as of April 30 it had $237.7 million in cash, cash equivalents and available-for-sale investments.
During the quarter, the company was selected to participate in the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency&#8217;s Quantum Benchmarking Initiative. It was also granted an Air Force Office of Scientific Research award to further develop certain chip fabrication technology.
&#8220;We also are making great strides in developing innovative approaches to scaling to higher qubit count systems, which is possible due to our open and modular system architecture, in-house full-stack expertise, and world-class partners.&#8221;
Following the earnings report, Needham analyst Quinn Bolton maintained a Buy rating on Rigetti and lowered the price target from&nbsp;$17&nbsp;to&nbsp;$15.

Rigetti Stock Is Soaring Wednesday: What's Going On?

First Solar (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FSLR#NASDAQ">FSLR</a>) is in the midst of a likely short squeeze, which is skyrocketing the stock. Once the squeeze is over, shares should fall back to relative congestion support.
So today, let&#8217;s place a trade on First Solar against the current trade, but give the chart some time to develop by setting the expiration at least 60 days to deliver results.
Here&#8217;s how best to do it.
First Solar&#8217;s resistance zone currently sits around $200, but with all this market uncertainty, trading could be choppy in the summer months. Support sits near $155, which is where we&#8217;ll put our middle strike.
The way to play this is with a long put butterfly, a combination of a long put spread, and a short put spread that share the same short strike and same expiration date. Though this kind of trade is often described as &#8220;delta neutral,&#8221; it certainly delivers profit if price action fades as expected.

<li>Sell to open 2 FSLR 15 Aug 155 puts </li>
<li>Buy to open 1 FSLR 15 Aug 135 puts </li>

Set an alert for prices near the middle strike so that you are very aware of the motion into the middle strike, as this is where the maximum profit will engage into expiration. You will also notice that price action is less sensitive to fluctuation the further we are from expiration. 
This long-put butterfly currently has a debit of $1.55, which represents the total risk incurred in the trade. The breakeven price of the stock at expiration on this trade is $173.45, less commissions.
The highest potential profit is $20 (the distance between $175 and $155), less the cost of the debt incurred by buying the call butterfly, so $20 &#8211; $1.55 = $18.45 less commissions.
It is extremely rare to collect all this premium in this kind of butterfly. Consider price action information to drive your risk and profit parameters.
This strategy provides several ways to exit, but I will discuss the main two:
<ol class="wp-block-list">
<li>Sell the put butterfly when the profit goal moves into your target parameters, particularly once the middle strike is tested near the expiration time. I often look for an 80% to 200% return for these types of put butterflies, but the maximum profit potential is much greater.</li>
<li>To sell the put butterfly when your loss threshold is breached. Customarily, this is 50% for me. </li>
</ol>
More advanced traders might consider rolling the short strikes down over time if First Solar&#8217;s price continues to fall.

This Week's Best Short Squeeze Options Trade

Rigetti Computing, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/RGTI#NASDAQ">RGTI</a>)&nbsp;shares are surging on Wednesday, reversing from yesterday&#8217;s decline.
This week, the company reported&nbsp;first-quarter&nbsp;revenue of&nbsp;$1.47 million, missing analyst estimates of&nbsp;$2.55 million and&nbsp;earnings of 13 cents per share, beating estimates <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com//node/45379735" rel="noreferrer noopener">for a loss of 6 cents per share</a>.

The analyst writes that revenue fell short of their expectations, pending reauthorization of the DOE Quantum Leadership Act (formerly the NQI).
Bolton highlighted key takeaways, including DARPA&#8217;s selection for its QBI program (Stage A) and the $5.48 million AFOSR award for the development of Alternating-Bias-Aided Annealing (ABAA) fabrication technology.

Also, the analyst stated that the company&#8217;s efforts to increase its U.K. presence with three Innovate U.K. Quantum Mission Pilot Awards and demonstration of optical control of a superconducting qubit, along with completion of Quanta Computer&#8217;s $35 million investment.
In the bear case, the analyst points to cash burn risk, which could lead to more capital raises and shareholder dilution.
Bolton slashed revenue estimates to $6.8 million (from $13.5 million) for 2025 and $15.0 million (from $25.0 million) for 2026.
Price Action: RGTI shares are up 19.70% at $11.80&nbsp;at the last check on Wednesday.
