The investment bank maintains a cautious stance on the defense sector, issuing Sell ratings for Lockheed Martin Corp. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/LMT#NYSE">LMT</a>), Northrop Grumman Corp. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NOC#NYSE">NOC</a>), L3Harris Technologies Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/LHX#NYSE">LHX</a>), and Huntington Ingalls Industries Inc. Trump's DOGE Plan: Goldman Sachs Says Defense Stocks Face Risks, IT Firms Could Win

Americans are <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/equities/24/05/38901540/gen-z-is-charging-too-much-and-not-paying-bills-what-the-latest-credit-card-delinquency-data-say">racking up debt</a> and having a difficult time paying it off. 
The 30 or more day delinquency rate for Discover Financial Services (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DFS#NYSE">DFS</a>) ticked up slightly in October from 3.84% to 3.87%. This is slightly lower than the Riverwoods, Illinois-based company&#8217;s yearly high of 4.02% in January.
Rates are slightly higher at Capital One Financial Corp. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/COF#NYSE">COF</a>), ending the month at 4.61%, slightly higher than September&#8217;s 4.53%.
American Express Corp (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AXP#NYSE">AXP</a>) is known for its wealthier consumer base. The New York, New York-based company has not yet released delinquency data for October, but its 30+ day rate stood at 1.4% in September.
Higher delinquency rates can lead to increased provisions for credit losses and tighter lending standards.
Delinquency on the Rise: The Federal Bank of New York released its quarterly debt <a href="https://www.newyorkfed.org/medialibrary/interactives/householdcredit/data/pdf/HHDC_2024Q3">report</a> on Wednesday.
The report found that total household debt increased by $147 billion to $17.94 trillion in 2024&#8217;s third quarter. Credit card balances increased by $24 billion to $1.17 trillion, 8.1% higher than it was a year ago.
Credit card delinquency rates improved slightly overall, with 8.8% of balances transitioning to delinquency compared to 9.1% last quarter.
The percentage of credit card debt 90 or more days delinquent has risen faster than any other debt type in 2024.

What To Know: Buffet&#8217;s Berkshire Hathaway cut nearly all of its position in the beauty brand, according to Berkshire&#8217;s latest 13F filing.
Berkshire initially reported holding 690,106 shares in Ulta in an August filing. The latest 13F filing, released Thursday, shows its position has been reduced to 24,203 shares, a 96% cut.
The filing also indicates new positions in Domino&#8217;s Pizza Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DPZ#NYSE">DPZ</a>) and Pool Corporation (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/POOL#NASDAQ">POOL</a>). Berkshire acquired 1,277,256 shares of Domino&#8217;s, valued at approximately $549 million, and 404,057 shares of Pool Corp, worth about $152 million.
Furthermore, the filing shows that Berkshire continued to reduce its stake in Apple Inc. What's Going On With Ulta Beauty Shares Friday?

AST SpaceMobile, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ASTS#NASDAQ">ASTS</a>) shares are moving lower on Friday after the company reported worse-than-expected 2024 third-quarter fiscal earnings after the bell <a href="https://www.benzinga.com//node/41994523">on Thursday</a>.
What Happened: AST SpaceMobile shares fell about 13% after the company released earnings on Thursday. The earnings report included a loss of $1.10 per share, missing analyst estimates of a loss of 20 cents per share.
Furthermore, the company reported sales of $1.10 million, missing analyst estimates of $24.13 million. AST SpaceMobile reported other key pieces of financial data, including adjusted operating expenses of $45.3 million.
The company incurred about $374 million of gross capitalized property and equipment costs. It also reported $518.9 million in cash, cash equivalents and restricted cash. 
Stepping back from finances, the company announced several key agreements, such as launch service agreements with Blue Origin for launches in 2025 and 2026. These agreements will enable the orbital deployment of up to 60 Block 2 BlueBird satellites.
The company&#8217;s coverage will initially target key markets, including the U.S., Japan, and Europe.
Additionally, the company achieved initial validation of its AST5000 ASIC chip, with the necessary infrastructure in place for commissioning in 2025. The combination of the new chip and the larger Block 2 array will support enhanced data transmission.
&#8220;We achieved many significant milestones in the quarter and continue our momentum with several key pieces now in place,&#8221; said Abel Avellan, founder, chairman and CEO of AST SpaceMobile. 
&#8220;With the first five BlueBird satellites successfully unfolded and entering initial operations, our business is progressing according to plan. Following the earnings report, UBS analyst Christopher Schoell maintained a Buy rating on AST SpaceMobile and raised the price target from&nbsp;$30&nbsp;to&nbsp;$31.

Spectrum Brands Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SPB#NYSE">SPB</a>) shares are <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/movers" rel="noreferrer noopener">trading lower on Friday.</a>
The company reported fourth-quarter adjusted earnings per share of 97 cents, <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/24/11/b42004018/spectrum-brands-holdings-reports-fiscal-2024-fourth-quarter" rel="noreferrer noopener">missing the street view of $1.07</a>. Quarterly revenues were $773.7 million (+4.5%), beating the analyst consensus of $747.51 million.
Gross profit surged 17.8% to $288 million. Gross profit and margin increased due to productivity improvements, operational efficiencies, and inventory actions in the prior year, partially offset by ocean freight inflation.
Adjusted EBITDA decreased $42.6 million, driven by $32.5 million of lower investment income and $25.9 million of increased brand-focused investments, offset by gross profit improvements.
As of the fiscal year-end, the company reported a cash balance of $369 million and total liquidity of $860 million, including undrawn capacity on its cash flow revolver.
It had $578 million in outstanding debt, consisting of $496 million in senior unsecured notes and around $82 million in finance lease obligations, resulting in a net debt of approximately $209 million.
Outlook: Spectrum Brands expects low single-digit growth in reported net sales in fiscal 2025 and adjusted EBITDA to increase by mid to high single-digits. Adjusted free cash flow is expected to be approximately<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/guidance"> 50% of adjusted EBITDA.</a>
The company continues to target a long-term net leverage ratio of 2.0 &#8211; 2.5 times.
