After exiting college in 2007 with $50,000 in student loans and no degree in hand, Amy Landino was financially insecure and unsure about the future. Almost two decades later, she's raking in $8,200 a month in passive income — all while putting in just four hours of work a day.

What Happened: Landino created her brand with over a thousand YouTube videos on productivity and personal branding. "It takes consistent upkeep and creative planning," she told CNBC Make It. Behind each video lies hours of prep and filming, and older content needs to be updated regularly to keep providing value to viewers.
She got her first taste of automated earnings through a straightforward video course that brought in $1,000 in one day, with just one email to a small pool of subscribers. "I started with a camera I already owned," she said.
Why It Matters: As Landino shifts her attention towards coaching, she is countering what she calls the top three "complete lies" about passive income: that it takes no work, that it requires a huge budget, and that it sustains itself forever. In reality, she notes, successful income streams depend on maintaining connection with your audience, putting systems in place, and offering products that evolve according to their needs.
Throughout her journey, from self-publishing Vlog Like a Boss to creating a morning routine planner inspired by fan requests, Landino has relied on her community to direct each new step.
"Passive income doesn't mean set-it-and-forget-it," she said. "It means being strategic about how you show up — and creating things that keep working, even when you're not."

RPM Gears Up For Q3 Print; Here Are The Recent Forecast Changes From Wall Street's Most Accurate Analysts

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GS#NYSE">GS</a>) is the latest investment bank to predict a recession for the U.S. economy over the next 12 months, with the odds being raised to 45%, from its previous prediction of 35%. Amidst <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/04/44662164/us-stock-futures-slump-following-massive-tariff-induced-selloff-experts-warn-of-a-brewing-great-depression-like-pattern">all this chaos and uncertainty</a>, however, there is a silver lining for the tech giants and their executives.
What Happened: On Sunday night, Goldman Sachs published a note raising its recession probability forecast from 35% to 45%, citing the sharp tightening of financial conditions and a spike in policy uncertainty. Just a month ago, it raised the probability from 20% to 35%, stating that economic fundamentals weren&#8217;t as robust as in the prior years.

While none of this sounds good, Jefferies Financial Group Inc (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/JEF#NYSE">JEF</a>) analysts believe that this, along with the Donald Trump administration&#8217;s tariffs, can be a &#8216;Free Hall Pass&#8217; for tech companies to revamp their financial guidance.
According to the firm&#8217;s lead analyst Brent Thill, companies can use this crisis to aim for &#8216;lower estimates that are more achievable and can help boost investor sentiments and stock performance,&#8217; as <a href="https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/tariffs-free-hall-pass-to-reset-big-tech-profit-guidance-2025-4">reported</a> by Business Insider.

Goldman Sachs Raises Risk Of Recession to 45%: Jefferies Calls Tariffs a 'Free Hall Pass' For Tech Giants To Reset Their Goals

New Gold Inc. ("New Gold" or the "Company") (TSX:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NGD#TSX">NGD</a>) (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NGD#NYSE">NGD</a>) is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan ("Ontario Teachers'") to acquire the remaining 19.9% free cash flow interest in the Company's New Afton Mine ("New Afton") (the "Transaction"). Following the transaction, the Company will have fully consolidated its free cash flow interest in New Afton to 100%.
On closing of the Transaction, Ontario Teachers' free cash flow interest in New Afton will be fully eliminated in exchange for a cash payment of $300 million from New Gold. Parsons Corporation (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PSN#NYSE">PSN</a>) announced today that the company was awarded a biological defense research contract to advance the Naval Medical Research Command's (NMRC) mission to defend against the threat of biological and chemical warfare. The $24 million contract consists of a one-year base period and four one-year option periods.
Under this contract, Parsons will continue to support NMRC's Biological Defense Research Directorate (BDRD) in their efforts to facilitate biological research for the rapid detection of infectious diseases of Department of Defense importance and the enhancement of global disease surveillance for early pathogen detection and response.

Billionaire Investor Bill Ackman has criticized Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick of having a conflict of interest and being &#8220;indifferent&#8221; toward the stock market selloff induced by the introduction of tariffs because of the latter&#8217;s fund, Cantor Fitzgerald LP&#8217;s exposure to bond investors.
What Happened: Ackman, the CEO of Pershing Square Capital Management, L.P., has slammed. Lutnick, who was the former chairman and CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald L.P. by stating that &#8220;He (Lutnick) profits when our economy implodes.&#8221;
This aligns with the inverse relationship between stocks and bonds during economic crises. When stocks crash, investors often move capital into bonds, driving up bond prices and lowering yields.
As the markets continue to crash after President Donald Trump&#8217;s tariffs, the 10-year Treasury yield has fallen to 3.90%. It is the first time that the yield has fallen to this level since before Trump was elected last year in October. Meanwhile, the two-year yield has dropped to 3.45%.
Cantor Fitzgerald, on the other hand, has been a major player in bond markets since its founding in 1945.

US Stock Futures Slump Following Massive Tariff-Induced Selloff: Experts Warn Of A Brewing 'Great Depression-Like' Pattern

Now, Musk's Tesla Cybertruck is being added to that list of failures, according to <a href="https://www.forbes.com/sites/alanohnsman/2025/04/03/elons-edsel-tesla-cybertruck-is-the-auto-industrys-biggest-flop-in-decades/">Forbes</a>. Musk&#8217;s angular pickup truck fell short of his ambitious sales target by a massive 84%, with no signs of a turnaround in sight.

Despite Musk&#8217;s ambitious forecast of 250,000 annual sales,&nbsp;Tesla managed to sell just under 40,000 Cybertrucks in 2024, its inaugural year on the market. The sales trend has continued to dip in 2025, contributing to a 13% decline in Tesla&#8217;s overall sales in Q1.
Experts explained that the Cybertruck is either too big or doesn&#8217;t meet pedestrian safety regulations in certain countries, limiting its potential for increased sales through exports.

Further, the Cybertruck&#8217;s sales have been adversely impacted by recall-related fixes, with a starting price of $82,000.
