On Sunday, <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/sony" rel="noreferrer noopener">Japanese conglomerate</a> Sony Group Corp (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SONY#NYSE">SONY</a>)&nbsp;announced that it had raised the price of its PlayStation 5 console by close to 25% in select markets in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Australia, and New Zealand, citing high inflation and fluctuating exchange rates.
The PS5 will cost 500 euros (approximately $569) in Europe and £430 (approximately $569) in the UK <a target="_blank" href="https://blog.playstation.com/2025/04/13/ps5-price-to-rise-in-europe-australia-and-new-zealand/" rel="noreferrer noopener">from Monday</a>.
In Australia, a standard PS5 with an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive costs AU $829.95 (approximately $524), and a PS5 Digital Edition costs AU $749.95 (approximately $475).

Bloomberg&#8217;s&nbsp;Nathan Naidu&nbsp;expects Sony to struggle to sustain sales of a high-end PS5, while Xbox maker&nbsp;Microsoft Corp (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MSFT#NASDAQ">MSFT</a>) may have smooth sailing given its lesser dependence on production partners subject to higher U.S. levies.
The U.S. accounts for 29% of Sony&#8217;s revenue. Sony sold 9.5 million PS5 units in the fiscal third quarter,&nbsp;versus&nbsp;8.2 million a year ago. It expects fiscal 2024 sales of $88.00 billion or ¥13.20 trillion versus&nbsp;the&nbsp;$81.59 billion consensus.&nbsp;
President Donald Trump&#8217;s announcement of sweeping tariffs on U.S. imports has affected the U.S. stock market as it factors in the reception of higher-priced consumer goods.

Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BAC#NYSE">BAC</a>) will release its first-quarter financial results before the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/BAC/earnings">opening bell on Tuesday, April 15.</a>
Analysts expect the bank to report quarterly earnings at 82 cents per share, up from 76 cents per share in the year-ago period. Bank of America projects quarterly revenue of $26.91 billion, compared to $25.82 billion a year earlier, according to data from <a href="https://pro.benzinga.com/dashboard">Benzinga Pro</a>.
On April 7, Morgan Stanley analyst Betsy Graseck upgraded Bank of America from Equal-Weight to Overweight but lowered the price target from $56 to $47.
With the recent buzz around Bank of America, some investors may be eyeing potential gains from the company's dividends too. As of now, Bank of America offers an annual dividend yield of 2.89%. That&#8217;s a quarterly dividend amount of 26 cents per share ($1.04 a year).
To figure out how to earn $500 monthly from Bank of America, we start with the yearly target of $6,000 ($500 x 12 months).
Next, we take this amount and divide it by Bank of America's $1.04 dividend: $6,000 / $1.04 = 5,769 shares.
So, an investor would need to own approximately $207,396 worth of Bank of America, or 5,769 shares to generate a monthly dividend income of $500.
Assuming a more conservative goal of $100 monthly ($1,200 annually), we do the same calculation: $1,200 / $1.04 = 1,154 shares, or $41,486 to generate a monthly dividend income of $100.
Note that dividend yield can change on a rolling basis. The dividend payment and the stock price both fluctuate over time.
The dividend yield is calculated by dividing the annual dividend payment by the current stock price. As the stock price changes, the dividend yield will also change.
For example, if a stock pays an annual dividend of $2 and its current price is $50. That means its dividend yield would be 4%. However, if the stock price increases to $60, the dividend yield would decrease to 3.33% ($2/$60).
Conversely, if the stock price decreases to $40, the dividend yield would increase to 5% ($2/$40).
Further, the dividend payment itself can also change over time, which can also impact the dividend yield. If a company increases its dividend payment, the dividend yield will increase even if the stock price remains the same. Similarly, if a company decreases its dividend payment, the dividend yield will decrease.
BAC Price Action: Shares of Bank of America gained by 0.3% to close at $35.95 on Friday.

How To Earn $500 A Month From Bank of America Stock Ahead Of Q1 Earnings

The possibility of a U.S.-China decoupling could lead to a massive $2.5 trillion sell-off, according to a recent analysis by Goldman Sachs. 
What Happened: The report suggests that in an extreme scenario, investors from both countries might be forced to divest their holdings of equities and debt instruments. If a decoupling takes place, U.S. investors may be forced to offload nearly $800 billion worth of Chinese stocks listed on American exchanges. On the flip side, China could divest its holdings of U.S. Treasuries and equities, which currently total around $1.3 trillion and $370 billion, respectively, as per a report by the <a href="https://www.scmp.com/business/china-business/article/3306443/us-china-decoupling-could-cost-us25-trillion-extreme-goldman-warns">South China Morning Post</a>. 
Amid the risk of U.S.-China decoupling due to the trade war, the possibility of delisting Chinese companies from US stock exchanges is now being explored. This potential move could affect nearly 300 firms, including some of China&#8217;s biggest tech giants, stated Goldman Sachs. 
The sell-off was driven by the assumption that U.S. investors would face restrictions from US regulations on such investments, as per Goldman.
The investment banking firm anticipates a fresh wave of U.S.-listed Chinese companies to relist in Hong Kong. "We believe potential Hong Kong listing for these companies could probably catalyse a re-rating given the flexibility for U.S. investors to convert their ADRs to Hong Kong shares" event of a sudden liquidity crisis, says Goldman Sachs.
James Wang, head of China strategy at UBS Investment Bank Research, noted that the delisting of Chinese companies from the U.S. could have far-reaching consequences, such as diminished access to the deeper U.S. capital markets, potentially lower valuation multiples due to a shrinking investor base, and reduced liquidity.
Why It Matters: The potential decoupling and subsequent delisting of Chinese companies from U.S. exchanges is a growing concern, especially after Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that the delisting of U.S.-listed Chinese companies was once again being considered. During an interview with Fox Business, Bessent stated, "Everything is on the table," when asked about possible actions against Chinese companies. 
According to the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission, as of March 7, a total of 286 mainland Chinese companies were listed on the New York Stock Exchange, NYSE American, and Nasdaq, with a combined market capitalization of $1.1 trillion.
