The Salesforce chief noted that hundreds of companies already leverage <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/equities/24/10/41607435/salesforce-launches-agentforce-redefining-ai-in-business-with-autonomous-solutions" rel="noreferrer noopener">the Agentforce platform</a>, an AI-driven tool enabling autonomous task execution across business functions.
He set an ambitious target of deploying a billion AI agents within a year, showcasing this technology&#8217;s scalability and market demand.
Benioff shared a personal example from a recent visit to a Disney park, using the company&#8217;s virtual tour guide feature. The AI agent analyzed historical ride preferences and current park traffic, suggesting customized itineraries.
This personalized approach demonstrated how AI can enhance user experiences across different sectors, including entertainment, retail, and healthcare.
While Salesforce continues to develop its Agentforce platform, Benioff criticized Microsoft Corp&#8217;s (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MSFT#NASDAQ">MSFT</a>) AI offerings and expressed skepticism about Microsoft&#8217;s Copilot agents. With a new addition to its annual report&#8217;s &#8220;risk factors,&#8221; Apple warned that some upcoming offerings might not match the revenue and profit margins of the flagship iPhone line, the Financial Times <a target="_blank" href="https://www.ft.com/content/e30eb646-a7ad-496e-8fa4-ff1b4445e853" rel="noreferrer noopener">reports</a>.
Apple also flagged potential challenges from &#8220;geopolitical tensions&#8221; in its latest filing, alongside safety risks tied to AI integrations.

These concerns coincide with Apple&#8217;s push to keep pace with competitors like Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GOOG#NASDAQ">GOOG</a>) (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GOOGL#NASDAQ">GOOGL</a>) Google and Meta Platforms Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/META#NASDAQ">META</a>) in the AI sector, where it has recently launched new &#8220;Apple Intelligence&#8221; features and expects to integrate ChatGPT into Siri.
Amid regulatory scrutiny, Apple faces pressure over its high-margin services, including the App Store, as recent U.S. antitrust actions threaten licensing revenue from deals with Google.
This shift in focus comes as Apple broadens its product lineup to sustain revenue. Its Vision Pro headset, a &#8220;spatial computing&#8221; device priced at $3,499, marks the company&#8217;s latest attempt at diversifying its hardware portfolio, though sales remain modest.
Meanwhile, the company&#8217;s services business, contributing a gross margin of over 70%, has helped bolster profitability and offset slowing iPhone growth.
Apple&#8217;s gross margin, which hovered around 33% when the iPhone launched in 2007, has risen to over 40% as demand for high-end models increases.
BofA Securities analyst Wamsi Mohan projected a <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/analyst-color/24/11/41722824/apples-services-and-silicon-strategy-to-fuel-margins-justify-high-valuation-analyst" rel="noreferrer noopener">robust iPhone upgrade</a> cycle in 2025 and 2026, fueled by demand for Gen AI capabilities, increasing Services revenue, higher margins from Apple&#8217;s in-house silicon, continued capital returns, and expanded AI-driven institutional interest.
Mohan expects minimal impact from the EU Digital Markets Act on Apple&#8217;s App Store performance.
Needham&#8217;s Laura Martin&nbsp;estimates <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/09/41005053/apple-iphone-to-fuel-96-of-2025-revenue-analyst-says-a-safer-bet-than-ai-heavy-amazon-alphabet-micro" rel="noreferrer noopener">iPhone sales to</a> account for 89%-96% of Apple&#8217;s 2025 revenue.
Apple stock has gained over 20% year-to-date. Apple Signals Profit Risks in AI and VR Shift: What It Means for Investors?

Small-cap equities could be the dark horse of the next 10 years after the previous decade saw an outsized return from the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/large-cap">U.S. large-cap sector</a>.
The latest Vanguard market perspective <a href="https://advisors.vanguard.com/insights/article/series/market-perspectives">highlights</a> the U.S. small-cap sector as the leading domestic opportunity, projecting an annualized return between 5% and 7%, with a caveat of the median volatility of 22.6% — the highest among the listed domestic sectors.
The report highlighted the resolution of the disbalances in the labor market as an aftershock of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Our non-accelerating inflation rate of unemployment estimate suggests that the labor market has reached a healthy balance," said Adam Schickling, a Vanguard senior economist, adding that they expect additional rate cuts but hold no expectations for the near-term labor market conditions prompting an accelerated cutting cycle.
Going into 2024, Vanguard called small-cap stocks "attractive in the long term," while Fidelity is even more optimistic, expecting rate cuts to provide an attractive environment. Looking at the year-to-date returns:
The S&amp;P 500 is up 22.9%, while the small-cap-focused Russell 2000 is up around 11.4%.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Small-Cap Mean Reversion</h2>
"Mean reversion is a concept we believe in—it's one of the fundamental principles of long-term investing. But it's crucial to remember that the timeline for mean reversion isn't predictable. It might happen in the next decade as they predict, or it could take longer, even up to a hundred years," Creative Planning&#8216;s Chief Investment Officer James Battmer recent <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QRVUeL2VhA&amp;t=120s">noted</a>.
These predictions are generally not enough of a catalyst for portfolio re-adjustments. 
In the video below, Chief Market Strategist Charlie Bilello listed gains from leaders like Nvidia, Tesla or Netflix, but Battmer argued that continuing the same trajectory is unlikely.

"If they were to replicate the same growth, they'd be larger than the entire U.S. economy, which is a near-impossible scenario," Battmer noted.
Even so, talking about the first decade of this century, he showcased what the "lost decade" for large-cap growth looks like.
"If you had invested a million dollars in a growth-focused portfolio, you'd have lost around $333,000 over that 10-year span," he said, pointing out the importance of owning a broad range of stock and not just the "big winners."

Nvidia is expanding <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/government/24/10/41516084/nvidia-chases-growth-in-india-ai-partnerships-with-reliance-infosys-wipro-expanding-into-robotics-an" rel="noreferrer noopener">AI partnerships in</a> India, with CEO Jensen Huang announcing collaborations with Indian tech giants like Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, and Wipro to accelerate AI adoption, create jobs, and train nearly 500,000 developers.
Nvidia is also working with Reliance to develop a 1-gigawatt AI infrastructure center in Gujarat, leveraging India&#8217;s vast IT ecosystem to support next-gen applications.
Additionally, Nvidia is scaling data center capacity with Yotta Data Services and Tata Communications, increasing its GPU deployment in India almost tenfold within 18 months to meet growing demands across industries.

Nvidia&#8217;s market cap reached $3.53 trillion, surpassing Apple&#8217;s $3.52 trillion.
The shift reflects Nvidia&#8217;s stock surge, fueled by record demand for AI supercomputing chips. Russ Mould, investment director at AJ Bell, noted that as more companies adopt AI in daily operations, demand for Nvidia chips stays robust.
According to Bank of America analyst Vivek Arya, Nvidia will be a <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/10/41553696/ahead-of-q3-earnings-bank-of-america-names-beneficiaries-of-surge-in-hyperscale-spending" rel="noreferrer noopener">crucial beneficiary of</a> the tech giant&#8217;s artificial intelligence spending in 2025.

Nvidia Taps India's Growing AI Market, Partnering with Tech Giants and Scaling Data Centers

Indonesia has blocked sales of Apple Inc&#8217;s (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AAPL#NASDAQ">AAPL</a>) latest iPhone 16 models as Apple failed to meet local investment requirements, the WSJ reported.
The Ministry of Industry <a target="_blank" href="https://www.wsj.com/tech/apple-iphone-16-sales-banned-in-indonesia-over-investment-issue-d5322615" rel="noreferrer noopener">told</a> the Wall Street Journal PT Apple Indonesia did not fulfill its investment commitment to sell the new iPhone series in the country.

The sales ban applied to iPhone 16 models and other Apple products remain unaffected by the ban.
Apple&#8217;s investment is currently short by 240 billion rupiah of the 1.71 trillion rupiah (approximately $108.9 million) needed for the license, Indonesia&#8217;s Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita told WSJ.
Indonesia&#8217;s policy requires companies to source some goods or services domestically, which can be achieved through investments or local hiring to reduce reliance on imports.
The ban targets iPhone 16s sold within Indonesia, though handsets bought abroad for personal use are permitted if not resold.
Apple&#8217;s <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/10/41551122/apples-q3-smartphone-sales-slip-despite-strong-iphone-16-demand-market-share-dropped-slightly" rel="noreferrer noopener">smartphone sales declined</a> 0.3% in the third quarter in China, despite the overall Chinese smartphone market growing 3.2%, according to IDC.
Apple launched significant promotions for the iPhone 16 in China, providing pre-release discounts on platforms like PDD Holdings&#8217; Pinduoduo and Alibaba&#8217;s Taobao. Leading up to Singles&#8217; Day, Apple applied additional price cuts to boost sales.
Needham analyst Laura Martin projects that iPhone sales will contribute 89%-96% of Apple&#8217;s revenue in 2025.
JPMorgan analyst Samik Chatterjee&#8217;s <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/10/41146507/apples-iphone-16-series-leads-growth-but-high-end-model-preference-declines-analyst" rel="noreferrer noopener">survey revealed that</a> upgraders and switchers showed strong interest in the iPhone 16, especially in key markets like the U.S. and China. However, high-end models are slightly less popular this cycle, particularly in China.
While faster performance and 5G remain top reasons for upgrading, Apple&#8217;s intelligence features ranked lower, possibly due to limited availability. Chatterjee also noted Samsung&#8217;s global dominance outside Apple and Huawei&#8217;s continued strength in China, with a notable portion of Android users in China interested in switching to the iPhone.
Apple stock gained 36% in the last 12 months. iPhone 16 Blocked - Apple Faces Sales Ban in Indonesia Over Local Investment Shortfall: Report

Roblox Corp (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/RBLX#NYSE">RBLX</a>) stock plunged on Tuesday after Hindenburg Research issued a short report on the online game platform questioning its metrics <a target="_blank" href="https://hindenburgresearch.com/roblox/" rel="noreferrer noopener">such as user numbers</a>.
The report alleged that Roblox inflated key user metrics, claiming daily active users (DAUs) and engagement hours are overstated by 25-42% and over 100%, respectively.

Hindenburg&#8217;s report accuses Roblox of inflating DAU figures by equating DAUs with unique &#8220;people,&#8221; despite acknowledging in SEC filings that DAUs may include multiple accounts or bots.
Roblox also claimed it couldn&#8217;t identify duplicate accounts, though it tracked and consolidated them internally. Additionally, Roblox inflated engagement hours by including bots and inactive accounts (&#8220;zombies&#8221;), overstating user activity. The company reported key metrics to investors without independent third-party verification, leaving room for manipulation and misrepresentation.
Hindenburg&#8217;s report accused Roblox of prioritizing its growth metrics over child safety by cutting content moderation costs and allowing harmful content to increase on the platform.
Hindenburg claims the company&#8217;s push for higher user engagement led to lax safety measures, exposing children to inappropriate content, such as sexual exploitation, violence, and predatory behavior, all to boost user numbers and satisfy investors.
Hindenburg also highlighted insider stock sales and executive turnover as red flags. Since the company went public in 2021, Roblox insiders, including CEO David Baszucki, have sold $1.7 billion in shares. Meanwhile, three senior executives, including the CFO, have resigned within the last year, raising concerns about internal issues.
Since becoming a public company, Roblox has failed <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/24/08/40099661/robloxs-q2-earnings-31-topline-growth-increased-user-engagement-guidance-hike" rel="noreferrer noopener">to turn profitable</a>, with losses totaling $1.07 billion in the last twelve months (LTM).
Last week, The Bear Cave&nbsp;released <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/10/41170031/short-seller-alleges-roblox-facilitated-widespread-child-abuse-potentially-played-a-role-in-mass-sho" rel="noreferrer noopener">a bearish report</a> targeting Roblox for the fourth time since 2022. The report brought charges against Roblox, including the production of child pornography, child kidnapping, and physical abuse.
Roblox stock is up over 28% in the last 12 months. Two popular U.S. stock market exchange-traded funds hit<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/equities/24/09/41029448/s-p-500-hits-all-time-highs-nasdaq-100-tops-20k-ahead-of-key-economic-data-whats-driving-markets"> all-time highs </a>Wednesday as the S&amp;P 500 Index reached its highest level ever.
The Vanguard S&amp;P 500 ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/VOO#NYSE">VOO</a>), which tracks the performance of the S&amp;P 500 Index and therefore consists of about 500 large-cap stocks, reached $527.23 just after 10 a.m. ET before cooling off to $524.96 into Wednesday&#8217;s mid-afternoon trading.
The Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund ETF Shares (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/VTI#NYSE">VTI</a>), which follows the CRSP US Total Market Index of about stocks, also hit a high point on Wednesday, achieving $283.12 shortly after Wednesday&#8217;s open before declining to $281.85 by mid-afternoon.

The S&amp;P 500 hit an all-time high of 5,471.03 in Wednesday&#8217;s early-morning trading. It has since fallen to 5,721.50 by mid-afternoon Wednesday.
Vistra Corp. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/VST#NYSE">VST</a>) is the top gainer in the S&amp;P, rising 6.59% to $119.91 into the mid-afternoon. Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/HPE#NYSE">HPE</a>) followed, gaining 4.63% to $19.75.
The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index slipped 0.03% to 18,069.36, while the Nasdaq Composite Index edged up 0.05% to 19,954.31.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.66% to 41,928.02 by Wednesday&#8217;s mid-afternoon.

Here's a look at key differences between the Vanguard S&amp;P 500 ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/VOO#NYSE">VOO</a>) and the Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/VTI#NYSE">VTI</a>).
VOO ETF Vs. VTI ETF: The Vanguard S&amp;P 500 ETF <a href="https://investor.vanguard.com/investment-products/etfs/profile/voo">tracks </a>the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/s-p-500-index">S&amp;P 500 Index </a>and holds around 500 stocks. The ETF is heavily weighted among the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/magnificent-seven">Magnificent Seven stocks</a> and large-cap companies.

Each of the two Vanguard ETFs has an expense ratio of 0.03%, which is on the lower side for ETFs and is cheaper than the 0.09% expense rate for the&nbsp;SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust&nbsp;(NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SPY#NYSE">SPY</a>), which also tracks the S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust and trades similar to VOO.

Uber has led with its diversified offering, including food delivery, freight, and same-day delivery services, gradually shedding its image as a ride-hailing company.
Uber reported <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/24/08/40187570/uber-q2-earnings-revenue-and-eps-beat-30m-trips-per-day-ceo-highlights-record-growth-and-more" rel="noreferrer noopener">fiscal second-quarter</a> 2024 topline growth of 16% to $10.70 billion, beating the&nbsp;analyst estimate of $10.57 billion. Revenue from Mobility grew to $6.13 billion, up 25%. Delivery&nbsp;was $3.29 billion, up 8%, and Freight was $1.27 billion.
Uber&#8217;s trips rose 21% to 2.8 billion, or 30 million per day, signaling a recuperation in rides on pandemic recovery.
Conversely, Lyft shared plans to <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/09/40705974/uber-rival-lyft-to-lay-off-1-of-employees-sell-assets-to-reduce-costs" rel="noreferrer noopener">lay off 1%</a> of its employees and dispose of assets related to its bike and scooter operations to contain operating costs.
Lyft had 2,945 employees as of December 31, 2023, after letting go of 1072 employees in April 2023.
Lyft reported <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/24/08/40221512/lyft-q2-earnings-active-riders-increase-10-gross-bookings-surge-17-introduces-price-lock-feature" rel="noreferrer noopener">second-quarter sales</a> growth of 41%, reaching $1.44 billion, beating the analyst consensus of $1.39 billion. Lyft&#8217;s rides grew by 15% year over year to 205 million.

Roblox Corp (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/RBLX#NYSE">RBLX</a>) announced multiple upcoming changes to encourage more traditional game developers. Techcrunch <a target="_blank" href="https://techcrunch.com/2024/09/06/roblox-introduces-new-earning-opportunities-for-creators-teases-generative-ai-project/'" rel="noreferrer noopener">cites</a> Roblox chief product officer Manuel Bronstein in an interview.
The online gaming company is looking to open up more opportunities for creators, including a project that will power generative AI creation on the platform.&nbsp;TechCrunch reports that Roblox proposed a "Price Optimization" tool to help developers identify the best price for in-experience purchases.&nbsp;
Creators will now receive 50% of the revenue for paid experiences worth $9.99, 60% for experiences worth $29.99, and 70% for experiences worth $49.99, TechCrunch cites from the annual Roblox Developers Conference Friday. The creators earn about 25% of the revenue for their paid experiences.&nbsp;

Baszucki told Bloomberg that the gaming market accounts for $180 billion in content revenue annually.
Roblox also tapped&nbsp;Shopify Inc (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SHOP#NYSE">SHOP</a>) to help users sell physical products through digital Roblox experiences.
The gaming company also revealed plans for a new program to price paid-access experiences on desktop versions in real currency.
Baszucki told Bloomberg that in 2023, Roblox paid over $800 million to its community of game developers.
Roblox's fiscal 2024 investor guidance of <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/24/08/40099661/robloxs-q2-earnings-31-topline-growth-increased-user-engagement-guidance-hike" rel="noreferrer noopener">$4.2 billion in bookings</a> is about 2% of the global gaming market, which Baszucki estimates currently at $160 billion and $180 billion, the Verge <a target="_blank" href="https://www.theverge.com/2024/9/6/24237685/robloxs-ceo-on-getting-to-1-billion-users" rel="noreferrer noopener">reports</a>. Baszucki told Verge its ambition is to reach 1 billion users, citing that Roblox could beat the entire AAA game industry.

Roblox Targets 1B Users, Boosting Growth Through Apple, Alphabet, and Shopify Collaborations

Undeterred by early August volatility, investors poured a staggering $75 billion into U.S. exchange-traded funds in August, a fivefold increase compared to the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/etfs">same period last year.</a>
According to Bloomberg data, the strong August inflows into ETFs have pushed the year-to-date total to over $600 billion, putting 2024 on track to potentially challenge the all-time record of $911 billion in inflows, set in 2021 — a year before the Federal Reserve initiated its rate hike cycle.
Athanasios Psarofagis, an ETF analyst at Bloomberg Intelligence, highlighted that investors took advantage of the early August market dip to increase their equity ETF holdings. Additionally, there was a notable surge in demand for bond-related ETFs and small-cap ETFs as investors anticipate the start of the Federal Reserve's rate cuts.
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">ETF Market Nears $10 Trillion In Total Value</h3>
Bloomberg data reveals the total value of ETFs is approaching the $10-trillion mark, representing nearly one-third of the total value of all investment funds in circulation. Passive ETFs dominate this space with $8.7 trillion in assets, while actively managed ETFs have grown by 30% this year to $783 billion.
Both fixed-income and equity ETFs have seen strong inflows, with fixed-income products attracting $187 billion and equity ETFs $367 billion so far in 2024. 
Todd Sohn, an ETF strategist at Strategas, said bond ETFs have particularly benefited from an array of new offerings, including actively managed funds. Bond ETFs have attracted $100 billion over the last three months, surpassing the inflows seen during the early pandemic-recovery period in 2020.
Bitcoin-based ETFs have also gained traction, with net inflows exceeding $17 billion so far this year. Leveraged and inverse funds based on single companies have accumulated more than $9 billion in assets.

US ETFs Attract $75 Billion In August, Push 2024 Inflows Over $600 Billion: 7 Investor Favorite Funds

Palantir Technologies Inc (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PLTR#NYSE">PLTR</a>) chief Alex Karp is in no mood to play the apology card or be politically correct for its military, police, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement services despite facing massive flak and protests.
&#8220;If you have a reputation for talking about what the pope says when you meet him,&#8221; Mr. Karp explained, &#8220;you&#8217;ll never meet the pope again,&#8221; TechCrunch <a target="_blank" href="https://techcrunch.com/2024/08/17/palantir-ceo-alex-karp-is-not-going-to-apologize-for-military-work/" rel="noreferrer noopener">cites</a> from a New York Times interview.
Karp acknowledged the company&#8217;s consistent pro-Western view despite polarising views regarding the appeasement of Iran, Russia, and China.
Karp refused to apologize for defending the U.S. government on the border or offering its product to Ukraine or Israel. Per the interview, he has no qualms about protecting the Special Ops and bringing the people home.
Karp stood out for supporting President Joe Biden despite being criticized for handling the border and his overreliance on Hollywood elites, the New York Times <a target="_blank" href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/08/17/style/alex-karp-palantir.html" rel="noreferrer noopener">reports</a>. Interestingly, Karp is supporting Vice President Kamala Harris.
Karp also maintained his pro-artificial intelligence stance, indispensable to preventing AI abuse.
In August, Palantir <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/24/08/40172453/palantir-q2-earnings-revenue-beat-eps-beat-customer-count-up-41-driven-by-strength-in-us-commercial" rel="noreferrer noopener">reported second-quarter</a> revenue of $678.13 million, up 27% year-over-year, topping the&nbsp;analyst consensus of $652.1 million.
Commercial revenue grew 33% year-over-year. Government revenue climbed 23% year-over-year.
Wedbush Securities analyst&nbsp;Dan Ives hailed Palantir as the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/trading-ideas/technicals/24/08/40318702/palantirs-ai-triumph-is-a-new-bull-market-on-the-horizon" rel="noreferrer noopener">&#8220;Messi of AI,&#8221;</a> while Cathie Wood&#8217;s Ark Invest expanded exposure to the stock.
