Texas passed Senate Bill 21, paving the way for a state-run Bitcoin reserve, pending Governor Greg Abbott&#8217;s signature.
Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) endorsed the GENIUS Act, which proposes shifting a portion of the U.S. Treasury&#8217;s gold reserves into Bitcoin over five years. She called it a strategic step toward cementing U.S. leadership in digital assets.
A decisive close above $112,000 could open a path to $120,000 by mid-June, especially if ETF flows and macro tailwinds hold. A breakdown below $108,000 would increase the risk of near-term profit-taking. Traders are positioning for continued volatility as Bitcoin enters price discovery. While still early, the combined momentum at the state and federal levels marks a notable shift in sentiment toward broader Bitcoin adoption.
Ethereum (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/eth/usd">ETH</a>) and Solana (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/sol/usd">SOL</a>) are expected to benefit from a rotation once Bitcoin consolidates. Analyst Mena Theodorou notes that liquidity &#8220;tends to concentrate in BTC during breakouts.&#8221; According to eToro&#8217;s Reece Hobson, altcoin rally likely needs more monetary easing and a Bitcoin dominance closer to 70%. BTC dominance currently stands at 61%.
Bitcoin is commanding center stage. Sentiment remains broadly bullish, but eyes are on the $110,000 level as a key support. Traders continue to track ETF flows, regulatory headlines, and macro catalysts to see if the rally has further room to run—or if a cooldown is imminent.

Titled &#8220;Full Stream Ahead,&#8221; the mission is set to lift off from Rocket Lab&#8217;s Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand, with the launch window opening on May 28, 2025 (UTC).
The mission will carry the next BlackSky Gen-3 satellite into a mid-inclination circular orbit at 470 kilometers, where it will join the company&#8217;s existing constellation, providing ultra high-resolution imagery and AI-powered analytics to support daily intelligence activities.

Rocket Lab&#8217;s upcoming launch for BlackSky will mark its seventh Electron mission in 2025 and the company&#8217;s 65th launch to date. With this mission, Rocket Lab will have deployed a total of 226 satellites into space.
Brian O&#8217;Toole, BlackSky CEO, said, &#8220;Each successive Gen-3 launch represents a major step forward for our global defense and intelligence customer base with the prospect of new mission applications that will be enabled by combining very high-resolution imaging with high-frequency monitoring and advanced AI analytics.&#8221;
Notably, BlackSky is advancing space-based intelligence with AI-driven automation and has secured early access contracts for its Gen-3 satellites, with full commercial <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/05/b45563043/blacksky-and-rocket-lab-establish-launch-window-for-second-gen-3-satellite" rel="noreferrer noopener">availability expected by the fourth quarter</a>. The company aims to have eight Gen-3 satellites in orbit by early 2026.
In February, Rocket Lab&nbsp;successfully&nbsp;completed its 60th Electron launch, delivering&nbsp;BlackSky&#8217;s&nbsp;first Gen-3 Earth-imaging&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/02/43807615/fasten-your-space-belts-rocket-lab-expands-blacksky-partnership-with-60th-electron-mission-launch" rel="noreferrer noopener">satellite into a 470km orbit</a>.&nbsp;

Long before AI could finish your sentence, write your email, or make your kid's homework suspiciously impressive, Charlie Munger took a swing at artificial intelligence—and true to form, he made it funny.
Back in 2016, in a <a href="https://youtu.be/HG2uDgQufho?si=ThttE3Y-9Af-XwTh">CNBC interview</a> alongside Warren Buffett and Bill Gates, Munger was asked about IBM's investment in artificial intelligence. At the time, Buffett had bought into IBM and was facing questions over the stock's performance. <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/05/45477473/charlie-munger-said-berkshires-billions-came-from-getting-less-crazy-and-less-stupid-than-most-people-and-staying-alive-into-their-90s">Munger didn't try to predict</a> where it would go—but he wasn't dismissive either.
"Well, I'm not sure how it's going to come out. But of course I like the fact they're doing it. And any kind of artificial intelligence is very much in the vat. It may well work. I just—I have no way of predicting."

And then, with a perfectly timed pause, Munger added:
"I like the idea of using artificial intelligence because we're so short of the real thing."
The quote landed, naturally, with laughter. It was classic Munger: skeptical of hype, unimpressed by buzzwords, and deeply unimpressed with human reasoning.
But that was 2016.
By 2023, just months before his death at age 99, Munger's tone had changed. Speaking at the <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2023/05/09/warren-buffett-and-charlie-munger-doubtful-about-ai-and-chatgpt.html">Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting</a>, he didn't reach for jokes. He reached for brakes.
"I'm personally skeptical of some of the hype that has gone into artificial intelligence," Munger said. "I think old-fashioned intelligence works pretty well."

<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/25/05/45483307/warren-buffett-ditches-bitcoin-linked-nu-holdings-adds-to-constellation-brands-dominos-pizza-pool-co">Buffett echoed the caution</a>. He acknowledged being shown ChatGPT by Gates and called it impressive—but also unsettling.
"When something can do all kinds of things, I get a little bit worried," Buffett said. "Because I know we won't be able to un-invent it."
And then, in October 2023, just weeks before his death, he was asked once again about AI—this time at Zoom's Zoomtopia conference. His answer was sharper, shorter, and even less impressed:
"I think it's getting a huge amount of hype," Munger said. "And I think it's probably getting more than it deserves."
That's the legacy Munger left with AI. Not wide-eyed awe, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/entertainment/25/05/45403511/bill-gates-once-warned-that-computers-might-eventually-think-on-their-own-but-admitted-it-was-a-scary-thought-that-no-one-knows-when-that-will-happen">not doomsday panic</a>—just clear-eyed realism. A willingness to be curious early, and a sharper willingness to call nonsense when the speculation outpaced the substance.
And in true Munger form, it wasn't about the tech—it was about the thinking. Artificial intelligence, real intelligence, investor intelligence. Munger didn't chase shiny objects. He asked whether the logic held up—and if it didn't, he said so.
Even if everyone else was buying.
