Clean Energy Bags Contract To Design And Construct New State-Of-The-Art Hydrogen Fueling Station For Riverside Transit Agency In California

<li>Clean Energy has signed an RNG fueling agreement with DHL to provide 100,000 gallons annually over a three-year period to power DHL trucks located in California, Texas and Arizona. These are DHL's first RNG trucks that the company is testing as a cleaner, more sustainable alternative fueling option to diesel.</li>
<li>Long-time customer and an early adopter of RNG, Food Express, has inked a station build and RNG supply deal for its fleet of 20 heavy-duty Class 8 trucks. The new RNG station will be located in California and will be open to other fleets as well. The RNG volume for the Food Express trucks is expected to be 3 million gallons over the next ten years.</li>
<li>One of the largest transit agencies in the country, LA Metro, has extended its contract to continue to fuel its fleet with clean burning RNG. The agreement will provide five of LA Metro's stations with an expected 14 million gallons of RNG.</li>
<li>SalSon Logistics has inked a new RNG supply deal to fuel its 15 heavy-duty truck fleet at Clean Energy's Romeoville, Illinois station. <li>Estes Express Lines, the largest privately held freight transportation company in North America, has signed an RNG fueling agreement with Clean Energy for an estimated 450,000 gallons annually of RNG to be used by 40 new trucks that will fuel at Clean Energy's station in Fort Worth, TX. Clean Energy also currently provides RNG for 50 of Estes' trucks in California.</li>
<li>Clean Energy has extended its relationship with cattle and beef haulers, Harris Ranch, and will supply 450,000 gallons of RNG to 40 of Harris Ranch's heavy-duty 8 truck fleet as well as maintain its private station in Coalinga, CA.</li>
<li>One of the largest street sweeping companies in the country, Nationwide Environmental Services, based in Norwalk, California, has signed a 5-year maintenance and RNG supply contract for an anticipated 1.75 million gallons of RNG to fuel its 75 street sweepers. The company services over 2.5 million citizens in greater Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, San Bernardino and Riverside counties.</li>

Clean Energy Announced The Opening Of A New Renewable Natural Gas Station In Carney's Point, New Jersey For Heavy-duty Trucks And Other Fleet Vehicles To Access A Fuel Produced From Organic Waste

Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CLNE#NASDAQ">CLNE</a>), the largest provider of the cleanest fuel for the transportation market, announced that construction of a third production train at its liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Boron, California, has been completed, increasing the plant&#39;s volume capacity by&nbsp;50 percent. Already the largest plant of its kind in the Southwest U.S., the Boron plant now has the capacity to produce up to 270,000 gallons of cleaner-burning LNG every day. The addition of the third production train will allow the supply to meet the growing demand for bulk LNG by customers looking to decarbonize everything from city buses to large container ships.
An important Clean Energy customer, Pasha Hawaii, is now operating three LNG-powered container ships out of the Ports of Long Beach, Oakland and Honolulu. The volume of fuel that the&nbsp;MV George II,&nbsp;MV George III&nbsp;and&nbsp;MV Janet Marie&nbsp;has grown from 526,486 gallons of LNG for the month of August 2022 when Pasha Hawaii&#39;s first LNG-powered ship was commissioned, to 2,115,726 gallons in April 2024.

Clean Energy Fuels Completes Third Production Train at Boron Plant, Meets Rising LNG Demand

The spot price for natural gas is near an all-time low, according to recent data from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.

Heating Bills: Lower gas prices, of course, mean lower prices for heating bills. Russia&#8217;s continued escalation of its conflict with Ukraine sent household <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/trading-ideas/long-ideas/22/10/29428434/the-war-in-ukraine-could-bring-higher-winter-heating-bills-in-the-us-how-investors-can-m">heating bills soaring</a> in late 2022 and early 2023. Lower gas prices will lead to less expensive heating bills, which was <a href="https://news.michigangasutilities.com/lower-heating-bills-expected-for-mgu-customers-this-winter/">reflected</a> in bills following the decline in gas prices.
In an economy where consumers have suffered the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/24/04/38073451/analyzing-the-effects-of-inflation-on-american-consumers-a-comprehensive-statistical-study">effects of inflation</a>, any relief in household bills is sure to be a plus.
Natural Gas Vehicles: Natural gas can <a href="https://www.kbb.com/car-advice/what-ever-happened-to-natural-gas-powered-cars/">serve</a> as vehicle fuel; however, CNG passenger cars haven&#8217;t caught on substantially among consumers. Natural gas is still often used for heavy-duty fleets, such as school buses, tractors and concrete mixers.
