Ramsey explained that the past 18 to 24 months have been sluggish for the economy and real estate. &#8220;Everybody's been sitting around, waiting for something to happen,&#8221; he said. According to him, this waiting game has created pent-up demand – a backlog of people ready to jump into the market once conditions improve. Ramsey believes the economy will receive a much-needed push with the incoming administration, making the business and investment climate more predictable.
Yet, confusingly, he says. "They&#8217;re going to be up there throwing stuff around in D.C. Obviously, they&#8217;re going to make a mess. Looks like it&#8217;s going to be fun."

Ramsey's optimism doesn't mean he's abandoned his foundational principles. He emphasized the importance of staying nimble, not relying solely on borrowing to fund investments, focusing on building cash reserves and avoiding excessive risk. He cautioned that you don't want to build a house of cards that a single outside variable can knock over.
"The real winners are the ones who <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/money/active-vs-passive-investing">build wealth sustainably</a>," he said. &#8220;Sustainability is the key to wealth building, not being brilliant for 10 minutes. Being brilliant for 10 minutes will get you freaking killed."
Yet, he also warned that 2025 might not necessarily be a great time to buy real estate. &#8220;I love real estate too, but I don't think it's going to be a great time to buy,&#8221; he said, as you don't want to be caught overpaying in a booming market.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) placed a clinical hold on Atara Biotherapeutics, Inc.&#8217;s (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ATRA#NASDAQ">ATRA</a>) active Investigational <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/01/b43093925/atara-biotherapeutics-provides-update-on-clinical-programs-related-to-ebvallo-tabelecleucel-and-at" rel="noreferrer noopener">New Drug (IND) applications</a>.
These INDs include the EBVALLO&nbsp;(tabelecleucel) program for patients two years of age and older with Epstein-Barr virus-positive post-transplant lymphoproliferative disease (EBV+ PTLD), as well as ATA3219, a CAR-T therapy for non-Hodgkin&#8217;s lymphoma and systemic lupus erythematosus.
Specifically, identified subjects currently enrolled in the clinical studies who have the potential to derive clinical benefit may continue to receive treatment.
Screening and enrollment of new participants in both programs have been paused.
The clinical hold for EBVALLO is directly linked to inadequately addressed GMP compliance issues identified during the pre-license inspection of the third-party manufacturing facility referenced in the Complete Response Letter (CRL) for EBVALLO that was <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/01/b43026975/atara-biotherapeutics-provides-regulatory-and-business-update-on-ebvallotm-tabelecleucel" rel="noreferrer noopener">announced last week</a>.
While the ATA3219 drug product is manufactured at a separate, fully compliant GMP-certified facility, the compliance issues at the same third-party facility referenced in the CRL affect the starting materials used in its production.
These issues, which underlie both the CRL and the clinical hold, are specific to the referenced third-party manufacturing facility and do not affect Atara&#8217;s second third-party manufacturer, FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies (FDB) facility in Thousand Oaks, California.
The FDB facility remains a critical component of Atara&#8217;s long-term manufacturing strategy for both assets.
Last week, Atara engaged a financial advisor to support the assessment of opportunities to advance and realize value from Atara&#8217;s CAR-T assets.
Atara says it remains eligible to receive a $60 million milestone payment from Pierre Fabre upon FDA approval of the EBVALLO BLA, as well as significant double-digit tiered royalties as a percentage of net sales and milestones related to EBVALLO&#8217;s commercial sales.
The company added that if a strategic resolution is not reached to provide funding for its CAR-T development programs in the first quarter of 2025, Atara plans to suspend all CAR-T activities and significantly reduce company expenses and activities to only those that support the approval of EBVALLO, including through a near-term progressive transfer of all operational activities related to EBVALLO to Pierre Fabre.
Atara has entered into a non-binding term sheet with Redmile Group to provide up to $15 million in funding through an equity line of credit.

According to data from Edmunds, as <a href="https://www.wsj.com/business/autos/trump-tariff-plan-affordable-car-price-increase-1f3d4687?mod=hp_lead_pos2">reported</a> by the Wall Street Journal, approximately one-third of all cars under $30,000 in the U.S. are <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/government/regulations/24/12/42688941/are-us-vehicles-under-30000-a-thing-of-the-past-trumps-mexico-tariff-plans-could-change-auto-market">currently manufactured in Mexico</a>. This represents an increase from about one-fifth of such vehicles a decade ago.
It&#8217;s no wonder Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has warned Trump that a trade war is not in his best interest, citing how the automakers that will suffer are based in the U.S. and that Mexico could respond with its own protectionist moves.
"One tariff will be followed by another in response, and so on until we put common companies at risk," Sheinbaum said at a press conference in November per <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-11-26/mexico-hints-at-retaliation-after-trump-threatens-steep-tariffs?srnd=homepage-americas">Bloomberg</a>. Stellantis chair John Elkann, who recently visited Trump as part of a wider effort to connect with the newly-elected government, promised to adapt to the U.S. market under the new administration, per Reuters.
Stellantis also maintains two plants in Mexico, in Saltillo and Toluca.

Moynihan explained that if regulators establish a framework that enables secure and legitimate cryptocurrency transactions, traditional banks would likely become heavily involved in facilitating them. 
He pointed out that these transactions could potentially operate in much the same way as existing payment systems. 
The implication here is that crypto payments might become as commonplace as credit card transactions. 
Bank of America, he further noted, has been actively researching blockchain technology, demonstrating their readiness to enter the space if and when regulations are approved. 
This suggests a level of readiness, rather than a speculation or projection. 
Moynihan drew a distinction between crypto&#8217;s use as a payment method and it&#8217;s possible uses as an investment, stating that these are separate concerns.
