Palantir Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PLTR#NASDAQ">PLTR</a>) shares are trading higher Thursday. The stock appears to be benefiting from an Army contact modification announced <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/after-hours-center">after the market close on Wednesday</a>.
What Happened: Late Wednesday, the Department of Defense <a href="https://www.defense.gov/News/Contracts/Contract/Article/4194643/">announced</a> that it awarded Palantir a $795 million modification to a contract for its Maven Smart System software licenses. 
The contract was <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/equities/24/05/39079527/palantir-stock-shrugs-off-cramers-sell-call-as-480m-ai-contract-for-army-fuels-premarket-rally">initially announced</a> in May 2024 as a $480 million fixed, firm-price contract. This week&#8217;s modification brings the total contract value up to nearly $1.28 billion, with an estimated completion date of May 28, 2029.&nbsp;
Project Maven was originally launched in 2017 with the aim of accelerating AI use for the U.S. military, according to <a href="https://spacenews.com/pentagon-boosts-budget-for-palantirs-ai-software-in-major-expansion-of-project-maven/">reports</a>. The program utilizes AI to help analyze large amounts of data and imagery from various military sources.
Palantir said earlier this month that U.S. government revenue increased 45% year-over-year in the first quarter. Despite a multitude of government contracts in recent years, the company is seeing an even bigger acceleration on the commercial side. U.S. commercial revenue climbed 71% in the company&#8217;s most recent quarter and Palantir guided for full-year 2025 U.S. commercial revenue in excess of $1.18 billion. 
Several analysts have lifted price targets on Palantir in recent weeks, ranging from $90 to $140. Goldman Sachs maintained a Neutral rating while raising its target from $80 to $90, suggesting caution following Palantir&#8217;s massive 500% surge over the past year. 
Earlier this month, Wedbush&#8217;s Dan Ives maintained an Outperform rating and raised the target from $120 to $140, calling Palantir a generational tech name that could<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/05/45232694/palantir-stock-shows-momentum-with-q1-results-ai-opportunity-analyst-says-generation-tech-name-worth-1-trillion-in-future"> rise to a $1 trillion market cap</a> over the next three years.
Palantir had a market cap of approximately $284 billion as of Wednesday&#8217;s close, according to <a href="http://pro.benzinga.com">Benzinga Pro</a> data.

DA Davidson analyst Peter Heckmann issued a downgrade for Guidewire Software (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GWRE#NYSE">GWRE</a>) from Buy to Neutral and maintained <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/GWRE/analyst-ratings" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">the $226 price forecast</a>.
The analyst writes that following the stock's strong performance over the past two years, valuation now appears more extended, leading him to see a more balanced risk/reward profile.
The analyst expects the company to meet or slightly surpass his estimates when it reports <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/earnings" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">third-quarter results (expected to be in early June)</a>.
For the third quarter, the analyst estimates revenue growth of 19% year-over-year to $287 million, slightly above the consensus estimate of $286 million.

This growth is expected to be driven primarily by a 35% year-over-year increase in subscription revenue, reaching $162 million on the continued shift of customers to cloud-based deployments, adds the analyst.
Heckmann estimates adjusted operating income to grow 92% year-over-year to $40 million, in line with consensus, with operating margins expanding by 530 basis points to 13.9%.
Moreover, the analyst expects the company to end the third quarter with approximately $1.22 billion in cash and investments and $670 million in debt ($690 million at face value).
In particular, the analyst anticipates the company will use cash to repay the remaining $179 million of its 2025 convertible notes at maturity in March, including any additional amount related to the share price exceeding the initial conversion price.
Additionally, Heckmann anticipates management to reaffirm or make minor adjustments to their fiscal 2025 guidance.
The analyst estimates 2027 total revenue of $1.64 billion and adjusted EBITDA of $434 million.

On Wednesday, the company reported fiscal first-quarter revenue of $4.47 billion, up 3% year over year, topping the analyst consensus <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/05/45542202/china-based-baidu-burns-1-2-billion-to-fuel-ai-cloud-growth" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">estimate of $4.30 billion</a>. 
Adjusted earnings per ADS&nbsp;of $2.55 beat the&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/earnings" rel="noreferrer noopener">analyst consensus estimate</a>&nbsp;of $1.96.
The analyst writes that Baidu's first quarter results were strong, and AI Cloud was a standout, growing 42% year over year and delivering margins that outperformed key peers.
Jiang writes that, despite some expected variability tied to project-based revenue, the solid performance has led them to raise the full-year cloud forecast to 25% (from 20% prior), with room for further upside.

Jiang views management&#8217;s target of over 50% of search queries to be powered by GenAI by mid-year as both a strategic and responsive shift.
Baidu's GenAI-driven search represents a significant departure from traditional models, with promising long-term potential, says the analyst.
Given ongoing uncertainty around monetization timing and effectiveness, the analyst revised the FY25 core advertising revenue forecast to -8% year-over-year (from flat) and adjusted the EPS estimates.

<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/25/03/44217932/crypto-exchange-kraken-sets-sights-on-2025-initial-public-offering">Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken</a> is preparing to roll out tokenized versions of major U.S. stocks like Apple (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AAPL#NASDAQ">AAPL</a>), Tesla, and Nvidia (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NVDA#NASDAQ">NVDA</a>) for users outside the United States.
What Happened: The offering will allow non-U.S. investors to buy and trade digital tokens that mirror the value of U.S. equities, operating round the clock, even when traditional markets are closed, <a href="https://www.wsj.com/finance/currencies/kraken-crypto-exchange-stock-tokens-e4fc1bb9">according</a> to The Wall Street Journal.
The initiative, expected to launch within weeks, will be available to customers across Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Africa. U.S.-based users, however, will not have access to the tokenized stock trading feature.
Branded as "xStocks," these tokens will represent more than 50 equities and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), including the SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF (SPY) and SPDR Gold Shares. 
Kraken plans to issue these tokens on the Solana (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/sol/usd">SOL</a>), which supports fast and low-cost transaction processing.
Each xStock will be backed 1:1 by the underlying stock or ETF, held and managed by Kraken's partner, Backed Finance. 
The tokens will be redeemable for the equivalent cash value of the underlying securities, maintaining parity with market prices.
Arjun Sethi, Kraken's co-CEO, said the move aims to reduce barriers for global investors.

"Accessing U.S. stocks from abroad often means high fees and long settlement times," Sethi said. "There's a lot of friction."
xStocks are expected to be transferable beyond Kraken's platform, with users potentially able to store them in private crypto wallets or use them as collateral in decentralized finance (DeFi) applications.
Why It Matters: This isn't the first time tokenized stocks have been introduced.
Binance briefly offered tokenized equity products in 2021 before regulatory scrutiny forced a shutdown. 
Kraken says it is taking a different approach, working closely with regulators in each jurisdiction to stay compliant.
The move comes as industry interest in asset tokenization rises. 
The SEC recently hosted a roundtable on the subject, and major firms like BlackRock (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BLK#NYSE">BLK</a>) and Robinhood (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/HOOD#NASDAQ">HOOD</a>) have expressed support for blockchain-based securities trading.

Needham analyst Mike Matson upgraded Inogen, Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/INGN#NASDAQ">INGN</a>) from Hold to Buy, <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/INGN/analyst-ratings" rel="noreferrer noopener">with a price forecast of $12</a>.
On May 7, the company<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/05/b45265755/inogen-announces-first-quarter-2025-financial-results" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> reported its first-quarter results.</a>
Total revenue in the quarter was $82.3 million, an increase of 5.5% from the prior-year period, or 7.1% at constant currency rates, due to higher demand from international and domestic business-to-business customers.
Matson highlighted the turnaround efforts led by the company&#8217;s new management team, which remains underappreciated by the market.

The company has returned to mid-single-digit revenue growth, with expectations for further acceleration in the second half of 2025 and into 2026.
Matson also notes improvements in margin performance and highlights management&#8217;s strategy to expand Inogen&#8217;s focus beyond its core offerings into a more diversified respiratory device portfolio, which introduces multiple new avenues for growth.
He added that management anticipates nearing adjusted EBITDA breakeven in 2025, which he views as a positive indicator of progress.
Matson writes that the decline in Inogen&#8217;s direct-to-consumer sales has primarily stemmed from a smaller DTC sales force.
The analyst also projects margins to improve further as direct-to-consumer sales stabilize or return to growth, especially after the impact of the sales force reduction is fully reflected in the fourth quarter of 2025.
