U.S. stocks were lower, with the Dow Jones index falling around 350 points on Wednesday.
Shares of Gilead Sciences, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GILD#NASDAQ">GILD</a>) rose sharply during Wednesday's session after the company reported better-than-expected fourth-quarter financial results and issued FY25 adjusted EPS <a href="https://in.benzinga.com/general/health-care/25/02/43643001/gilead-sciences-shares-push-higher-after-q4-report-heres-why">guidance above estimates</a>.
Gilead Sciences reported quarterly earnings of $1.90 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $1.70. Quarterly revenue came in at $7.56 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $7.13 billion and is an increase over revenue of $7.11 billion from the same period last year.
Gilead Sciences shares jumped 8.1% to $103.88 on Wednesday.
