What Happened: Bitcoin surpassed $106,000 overnight, after fluctuating between $104,000 and $105,000 throughout the day. Trading volume jumped 30% from the previous day.
Similarly, Ethereum broke past $2,600 in the late evening rally, with volume rising by over 43% in the last 24 hours. The spike comes after co-founder Vitalik Buterin said that the blockchain&#8217;s base layer <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/crypto/25/06/45716370/ethereums-l1-will-be-scaled-by-10x-over-the-next-year-says-vitalik-buterin">will be scaled by 10x</a> in about a year.
Bitcoin's market dominance narrowed to 63.8%, while Ethereum's share of the market widened to 9.5%
More than $200 million was liquidated from the cryptocurrency market in the last 24 hours, with bearish bets accounting for 62% of the total liquidations.
Moreover, nearly $363 million in shorts risked liquidation if BTC rallied to $108,000.
Ethereum's Open Interest jumped 7.22% in the last 24 hours, reaching a new all-time high of $36.46 billion. More than 60% of Binance traders with open ETH positions were long at the time of writing.

Analyst Notes: Blockchain analytics firm Santiment observed that cryptocurrency traders were being cautious about Bitcoin.
"Bitcoin mentions across social media show 1.3 bullish comments for every 1 bearish comment. This reflects the crowd&#8217;s high association between BTC and the stock market, with its success highly contingent on a healthy American economy," Santiment stated.
On the other hand, there was euphoria for Ethereum, with 3 bullish comments for every 1 bearish comment, likely due to its 41% surge last month.

But <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/personal-finance/25/05/45485339/mom-asks-suze-orman-did-we-create-a-monster-23-year-old-daughter-has-250k-saved-but-refuses-to-pay-for-dates-or-family-outings">Suze Orman</a> has one word for you: don't.
On an April episode of her "Women &amp; Money" podcast, Orman gave a sobering but powerful message to anyone facing the emotional chaos that often comes with a sudden windfall. The <a href="https://omny.fm/shows/suze-ormans-women-and-money/suze-school-revisiting-recognizing-financial-advisor-abuse?in_playlist=podcast">episode focused on a 57-year-old woman</a> who had just lost her husband and was trying to figure out what to do with a $7 million life insurance payout.
"She was left to the tune of $7 million," Orman said. "Now this woman has never dealt with $7 million in her life."

And Orman's advice?
"You are to do nothing other than <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/personal-finance/25/04/44715539/suze-orman-says-when-sentiment-is-this-fearful-its-not-the-time-to-sell-but-if-youll-need-the-money-in-5-years-it-shouldnt-be-in-the-market">keep this money safe and sound</a>," she said. "Except obviously pay off debts and things like that, but nothing besides that. For at least six months, one year or two years after suffering the loss of a loved one."
Orman's reasoning is deeply rooted in psychology—and experience.
"You may feel like you are making the right decisions and that you know what you're doing when it comes to money that you've never handled before, but I'm here to tell you," she said. "You are not in your body. You will get taken advantage of possibly, but you will not be doing that which you should be doing with this money."
The woman, a mother of four—ages 21, 18, 16, and 12—was three months into grieving her husband when she initially reached out to Orman. At that time, Orman carefully guided her to place the full $7 million into a treasury money market account through a reputable brokerage firm, where she'd earn around 4%–5% interest with minimal risk. The instructions were crystal clear:
"You are to do nothing. Do not touch this money. You are just going to let it sit there," she said.&nbsp;

But that didn't last.
Months later, a financial advisor from that very brokerage firm contacted her and convinced her to split up $2.4 million into two annuities—$1.5 million in one, $900,000 in another—and planned to invest the rest in stocks and bonds, leaving only $1.5 million in the money market account.
Orman was livid.
"Nothing upsets me more than that," she said, referring to advisors who act in their own financial interest before a grieving client is emotionally ready. "We all deserve to know what to do with money, to be taken care of, to not have some financial adviser do things with people's money when they're not ready to do it just 'cause this person may make more money or his firm may make more money."
So what should you do if you suddenly come into a large sum of money, whether from an inheritance, lottery win, or sale of a business?

According to Orman: slow down. Park the money somewhere safe, like a treasury-backed money market account. Let the dust settle before you make life-altering decisions—especially ones driven by outside "experts" with a commission in the balance.
Financial planners often say one of the worst times to make big decisions is after a major emotional event. Behavioral economists call it "decision fatigue." Grief only amplifies it.

What Happened: Items such as <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/04/44937440/tesla-q1-misses-estimates-as-tariff-pressures-weigh-on-outlook-lower-cost-evs-still-on-track">tariffs and macroeconomic concerns</a> could hurt Tesla's delivery figures in the U.S. and other parts of the world.
Europe might be the market Tesla is struggling with the most, which comes as other competitors are outperforming it. The Elon Musk-led company also suffered brand damage in 2024 and 2025 due to the CEO's political involvement in several countries&#8217; <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/elon-musk/elon-musk-boosting-far-right-politics-globe-rcna189505">elections</a>.
A new report shared by <a href="https://electrek.co/2025/06/02/tesla-sales-crash-france-even-with-new-model-y/">Electrek </a>said Tesla's deliveries in France were 721 units in May. This figure was down 67% year-over-year and is the lowest for the country in over three years.
The overall automotive market was down 12% year-over-year for France in May, but companies outside of Tesla saw much better results.
The report on the struggles in France comes as a recent ACEA report said Tesla's European sales were down 49% year-over-year in April.

Why It's Important: Musk insisted that Tesla has "no demand problem" and everything is going fine. Recent delivery reports for regions around the world suggest otherwise and could put second-quarter deliveries in the spotlight.
Tesla placed a portion of its weaker sales blame on the Model Y changeover. May sales for Tesla in France were lower than any month in the first quarter, when the Model Y changeover was happening. With the changeover now complete in some parts of the world, weak second-quarter data shows that this may not have been the reason for weaker demand.
While France represents only one market for Tesla, the May data is bad and could be another negative for second-quarter deliveries and financial results.
TSLA Price Action: Tesla stock closed Monday down 1.09% to $342.69 versus a 52-week trading range of $167.42 to $488.54. Tesla stock is down around 15% year-to-date in 2025.
