A big part of GM's focus right now is on electric vehicles (EVs), but they've hit a few bumps in the road. Cox Automotive reported that EV sales in the U.S. made up 8.9% of all vehicle sales in Q3 2024. Regarding market share, GM holds 9.8%, a far cry from Tesla's commanding 48.2%.&nbsp;
To keep things in check, GM has scaled back its 2024 EV production goals from 300,000 units to somewhere between 200,000 and 250,000 units. CFO Paul Jacobson explained during a Deutsche Bank investor event that this will help them avoid overproduction and keep inventory balanced with demand.

"If they just solved for simplifying tax and deregulated the economy, just say 30%, pulled some of that regulation out," O'Leary said. According to O'Leary, the costs associated with staying compliant – like paying auditors, consultants and lawyers – are going up by about 20% yearly. "The cost that I have to spend each year just to remain compliant goes up at about 20% a year between all the consultants, the auditors, the lawyers and the changing rules of regulation," he shared.
O'Leary explained that he operates across all 11 sectors of the economy and has never seen such an escalation in costs as he has in the last five years. Additionally, the company recently reported its first-quarter earnings, revealing $15.5 million in revenue, a 4% year-over-year increase. 



The abovementioned variables play into a broader growth story, which is encouraging, as UGRO stock&rsquo;s price-to-sales ratio of <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/UGRO/key-statistics/">0.25x</a> suggests it is grossly undervalued. Moreover, UGRO stock&rsquo;s technical variables are aligned as it recently surpassed its ten- and 50-day moving averages, indicating a momentum trend has been shaped.



UGRO stock might be volatile for the foreseeable future, as Urban-Gro is an early-stage enterprise. Nevertheless, asymmetrical returns are possible if Urban-Gro&rsquo;s fundamental variables build on their recent progress.



<h2>Village Farms International (VFF)</h2>

Moreover, Agrify services the medicinal and hemp end markets, providing it with critical diversification attributes.



I mainly included AGFY stock in today&rsquo;s list as it is an event-driven opportunity. The company recently sealed a <a target="_blank" href="https://ir.agrify.com/news-releases/news-release-details/agrify-corporation-announces-500k-turnkey-extraction-equipment#:~:text=TROY%2C%20Mich.%20%2C%20June%2011,Lab%20Equipment%20Package%20with%20Grotech">$500,000</a> turnkey contract to provide extraction equipment to Grotech farms. It must be outlined that Agrify has a few risks.
