The company's business segments are; The retail segment operates the water utility for the Seven Mile Beach and West Bay areas of Grand Cayman Island, The bulk segment supplies potable water to government utilities in Grand Cayman and The Bahamas under long-term contracts, The services segment designs, constructs and sells water infrastructure and provides management and operating services to third parties. The manufacturing segment manufactures and services a wide range of custom and specialized water-related products applicable to commercial, municipal, and industrial water production, supply, and treatment, and the corporate segment.

This is a 4.84 percent decrease over earnings of $1.86 per share from the same period last year. The company reported quarterly sales of $133.967 million which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $138.900 million by 3.55 percent. This is a 25.66 percent decrease over sales of $180.211 million the same period last year.

The CNN Money Fear and Greed index showed some improvement in the overall market sentiment, while the index remained in the &#8220;Extreme Fear&#8221; zone on Monday.

Baidu Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BIDU#NASDAQ">BIDU</a>) shares gained 9% after the company announced the launch of ERNIE 4.5 and deep-thinking model ERNIE X1.
On the economic data front, U.S. retail sales rose 0.2% month-over-month in February following a revised 1.2% decline in January but down from market expectations of a 0.6% rise. The NY Empire State Manufacturing Index declined 26 points to -20.0 in March, recording the lowest reading since May 2023. The NAHB/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index fell to 39 in March versus a reading of 42 in February.
Most sectors on the S&amp;P 500 closed on a positive note, with real estate, energy, and consumer staples stocks recording the biggest gains on Monday. However, consumer discretionary stocks bucked the overall market trend, closing the session lower.
The Dow Jones closed higher by around 353 points to 41,841.63 on Monday. The S&amp;P 500 rose 0.64% to 5,675.12, while the Nasdaq Composite climbed 0.31% at 17,808.66 during Monday's session.

Top 2 Utilities Stocks That May Fall Off A Cliff In Q1

U.S. stock futures fell again on Monday after Friday&#8217;s rally, as benchmark indices hovered around the correction zone. Futures of all four benchmark indices declined in premarket trading.
Investors will focus on the Federal Open Market Committee&#8217;s decision on interest rates slated to be released on Wednesday this week. The meeting will begin on Tuesday and Chairman Jerome Powell will address a press conference on Wednesday afternoon.
February&#8217;s retail sales data will be released today before the market opens. President Donald Trump&#8216;s tariff negotiations continue as traders wait for &#8220;reciprocal tariffs&#8221; which go into effect on April 2nd.
Meanwhile, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Sunday that the Trump administration is working to prevent a financial crisis caused by years of excessive government spending. 
"I can guarantee we would have had a crisis if spending had continued at unsustainable levels," Bessent said <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2025/03/16/treasury-secretary-bessent-says-white-house-is-heading-off-financial-crisis.html">on</a> NBC's Meet the Press. "We are resetting and putting things on a sustainable path.&#8221;
The 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.29%, while the two-year yield was at 4.01%. According <a href="https://www.cmegroup.com/markets/interest-rates/cme-fedwatch-tool.html">to</a> the CME Group's FedWatch tool, there is a 99% chance that the Federal Reserve will keep interest rates unchanged for the March meeting.

The SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SPY#NYSE">SPY</a>) and Invesco QQQ Trust ETF (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/QQQ#NASDAQ">QQQ</a>), which track the S&amp;P 500 index and Nasdaq 100 index, respectively, dropped in premarket on Monday. The SPY was down 0.39% to $560.64, and the QQQ also declined 0.41% to $477.70, according to <a href="https://pro.benzinga.com/dashboard">Benzinga Pro</a> data.
Cues From The Last Session
On Friday, Technology, energy, and financials led a Friday surge in U.S. stocks, with the S&amp;P 500 rising over 2%.
Big tech shares, particularly Nvidia Corp. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NVDA#NASDAQ">NVDA</a>) and Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>), rebounded strongly, though overall stocks, including the Dow and S&amp;P 500, recorded weekly losses.
Conversely, consumer sentiment, as measured by the University of Michigan, fell to its lowest point since November 2022.
As of Friday&#8217;s close, the S&amp;P 500 index was 8.27% down from its previous high, which followed a bounce from Thursday&#8217;s 10.18% drawdown. Similarly, the Nasdaq 100 was 11.33% lower and Dow Jones was down 7.95% from its 52-week high as of Friday.
