Trump is expected to announce reciprocal tariffs on several countries at a White House event at 4 p.m. ET. The Trump administration has said the tariffs could target specific sectors.
The tariff announcements have created uncertainty across markets with the S&amp;P 500 crossing into correction territory last month. The SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SPY#NYSE">SPY</a>) was up 0.46% at $563.55 at the time of publication Wednesday, according to <a href="http://pro.benzinga.com">Benzinga Pro</a>. The SPY is still down about 4% year-to-date and well off its highs from February.

Tariff Risk Increases: Analyst Warns Of Additional Impact On Hasbro, Funko, Mattel, E.L.F. Beauty — 'Not Reflected In Estimates'

Toy maker Hasbro Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/HAS#NASDAQ">HAS</a>) is tapping into a growing market segment, aiming to appeal to adults and teens, commonly referred to as &#8220;kidults,&#8221; <a target="_blank" href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/move-over-kids-hasbro-wants-adults-to-play-d64e10ea?mod=business_lead_story" rel="noreferrer noopener">reported </a>the Wall Street Journal. These mature customers are driving a surge in toy-related spending, with many shelling out hundreds of dollars on collectibles and intricate playthings.
The report cited that currently, approximately 60% of Hasbro&#8217;s revenue comes from individuals aged 13 and older, prompting the company to concentrate its growth efforts on this particular group.
This move comes after the company <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/02/43847506/toy-maker-hasbros-q4-beat-estimates-as-demand-for-games-remains-strong" rel="noreferrer noopener">reported a 15% decline </a>in the fourth-quarter sales.
Recently, Hasbro has introduced a new strategic initiative, &#8216;Playing to Win,&#8217; which will guide the company through 2027.
With a focus on play-driven engagement and collaborative partnerships, Hasbro aims to increase its reach from over 500 million kids, families, and fans today to more than 750 million by 2027.

The company projects steady mid-single digit revenue growth and expects an annual improvement of 50-100 basis points in operating profit margin through 2027.
By that time, Hasbro anticipates its operational excellence program will generate $1 billion in gross cost savings, with around half of that contributing directly to its bottom line.
Also, Hasbro is optimistic about the impact of Chinese tariffs on its business, as it shifts manufacturing away from China, according to a <a target="_blank" href="https://www.cnbc.com/2025/02/20/hasbro-has-earnings-q4-2024.html" rel="noreferrer noopener">report </a>from CNBC.
The report highlighted that during its fourth-quarter earnings call, CFO Gina Goetter outlined the company&#8217;s 2025 guidance, which includes adjusted EBITDA of $1.1 billion to $1.15 billion, reflecting tariffs on China, Mexico, and Canada.
The report cited that Hasbro aims to reduce the percentage of toys sourced from China from 50% to below 40% in the next two years.

Morgan analyst Christopher Horvers reiterated an <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/HAS/analyst-ratings" rel="noreferrer noopener">Overweight rating</a> on the shares of Hasbro Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/HAS#NASDAQ">HAS</a>) and maintained a price forecast of $75.00.
HAS exceeded street expectations for the fourth quarter, in line with the analyst&#8217;s updated forecast, driven by strong performance in Consumer Products and Wizards, higher gross margins, and operating income <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/02/43847506/toy-maker-hasbros-q4-beat-estimates-as-demand-for-games-remains-strong" rel="noreferrer noopener">15% above Consensus Metrix.</a>
The 2025 guidance projected EBITDA of $1.1-$1.15 billion versus the consensus of $1.143 billion, aligning with the analyst&#8217;s modestly below expectation view.
The fourth-quarter results provided enough upside to position HAS near the Street&#8217;s range for 2025. After resetting expectations following a tough third quarter, management expressed more optimism, with sales growth in Wizards (expected) and, importantly, Consumer Products (which the Street anticipated underperforming, but management showed confidence in).
This strengthened the outlook for Magic to achieve a record year, with Final Fantasy/Spider-Man contributing and a turnaround in the CP business beginning, partly due to the movie slate and a broader range of more affordable products, noted the analyst.

Adding to the positive outlook, management projected EBITDA of ~$1.4 billion in 2027, higher than the consensus estimate of $1.3 billion.
The analyst maintains an Overweight rating on HAS for the following reasons, including the analsyt&#8217; estimates being ahead of the Street&#8217;s, as the analyst believes consensus estimates for cost efficiency and digital gaming are too conservative, with both expected to increase heading into 2025.
Despite a shorter holiday season, the analyst sees the industry positioned for stronger growth this year, driven by the emergence of growth in lower-cost and shorter-replacement-cycle categories.
Retailers, especially Target Corp, are focusing on driving traffic through events, with toys playing a key role in their strategy.
By the end of 2025, the analyst anticipates the full impact of HAS&#8217;s $750 million cost-reduction initiative, while the consumer products segment should benefit from increased innovation, as well as growth in MTG driven by its Universes Beyond strategy (including Final Fantasy and Marvel, with continued momentum from MH3), and a similar flow-through from Go! product lines.
The price forecast of $75 is based on ~11x EV/EBITDA on the analyst&#8217;s 2026 estimates, slightly below where it currently trades on 2025 and its 3-5Y average multiple.

However, some companies have more pricing power than others. Firms with tight margins, ample competing substitutions, or inelastic demand may face consumer pushback on price increases.&nbsp;

And while putting a $3.5 trillion company on a sell list might seem bold, Apple has been under the microscope for the last few months. AAPL shares had a solid 2024 run, jumping from $165 in April to $260 by Christmas. But the company has started 2025 stuck in molasses, and shares are already down more than 8% year-to-date.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">PVH Corp (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PVH#NYSE">PVH</a>)</h2>
PVH has been dropping like a stone since cracking the $140 mark in December. The $140 price was the highest in over six years for PVH, but headwinds have rapidly materialized for the beleaguered apparel maker.

UA beat on earnings and revenue in the most recent February 6 conference call, but disappointing guidance sent shares tumbling. The stock lost more than 6.5% in the week of the earnings release as investors digested the guidance figures and tariff threats. No analyst covering the stock has updated their coverage since June 2024, but UA stock is clearly facing some serious headwinds as 2025 rolls along.

When most people hear Hasbro Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/HAS#NASDAQ">HAS</a>) they think of the company's toys and games like Transformers, G.I. Joe, Monopoly, Nerf and Play-Doh. Thanks to a new entertainment announcement, investors could soon focus more on the company's <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/22/02/25725395/100-upside-what-a-wizards-of-the-coast-spinoff-could-mean-for-hasbro">Wizards of the Coast division.</a>
What Happened: Hasbro Entertainment is launching a film and television universe based on the Magic: The Gathering game, which comes as the brand saw strong growth in<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/24/10/41515616/monopoly-maker-hasbro-inventory-falls-39-in-q3-cfo-vows-to-finish-2024-with-improved-profitability"> the third quarter</a>.
Magic: The Gathering, launched in 1993 by Wizards of the Coast, was the world's first trading card game and became a staple in the sector over the years. Hasbro acquired Wizards of the Coast in 1999 and in recent years has seen increased growth from the sector thanks to digital gaming.
Hasbro is teaming up with Legendary Entertainment, a leading entertainment company that counts Apollo Global Management (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/APO#NYSE">APO</a>) as its co-owner with Legendary.
Legendary Entertainment and Hasbro plan to launch a movie first and then expand into television, following a similar path of the "Dune" franchise, which Legendary Entertainment also worked on, as <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/magic-the-gathering-film-tv-universe-1236129132/">reported </a>by The Hollywood Reporter. 
"We pride ourselves on being thoughtful caretakers of singular, beloved IP, and no property better fits that description than Magic: The Gathering," Legendary's Chairwoman of worldwide production Mary Parent said.
Legendary has worked on turning brands into franchises before with Dune, Godzilla Vs. Kong and the upcoming "Minecraft" movie.
Hasbro has a Magic: The Gathering TV show in the works for Netflix Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NFLX#NASDAQ">NFLX</a>). A planned movie was in the works for years but never was created.
"This is an exciting and complementary partnership, uniting one of the world' most iconic brands with a powerful and proven steward," Hasbro Entertainment head of film Zev Foreman said.

Why It's Important: Magic: The Gathering has been played by 50 million people around the world and has a strong built-in fan base that could translate to a strong reception for the movies and TV shows.
Not all game adaptations work out successfully as several Dungeons &amp; Dragons movies did not perform strongly at the box office. Wizards of the Coast also owns Dungeons &amp; Dragons.
Hasbro has played a key role in adapting its brands into movies and TV shows, including the popular Transformers franchise.
The partnership with Legendary could be the key here as the company has successfully turned Dune into a strong movie and TV franchise.
Hasbro's Wizards of the Coast and Digital Gaming segment continues to be a strong performer for the company and with the latest entertainment news could provide more upside for shareholders.
In 2022, an activist shareholder pushed for Hasbro to spinoff Wizards of the Coast, suggesting there could be significant upside for Hasbro's share price by unlocking the key growth segment.
HAS Price Action: Hasbro stock trades at $58.92 versus a 52-week trading range of $46.10 to $73.46.
