Sector giants Toll Brothers Inc (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TOL#NYSE">TOL</a>) and KB Home (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/KBH#NYSE">KBH</a>) have both started Monday on a strong footing. Further, both securities have witnessed upside momentum in the past five sessions, with the former gaining over 5% and the latter moving up nearly 4%. Adding to the dilemma, it's not entirely clear when (or if) rates will decline. In May, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell remarked that <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/economics/macro-economic-events/25/05/45353863/new-inflation-data-hits-tuesday-why-it-could-kill-fed-rate-cut-hopes">monetary policy</a> was in a "good place" and that the central bank would wait for more clarity.
Driving much of the uncertainty is President Donald Trump's tariffs, which have rattled multiple segments of the business community. At the same time, the administration has made progress in securing what it deems more favorable terms, which has led to substantive results. For example, Boeing Co. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BA#NYSE">BA</a>) will <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/politics/25/06/45831511/boeing-737-max-deliveries-to-china-restart-after-month-long-pause-amid-trade-tensions-with-us-over-trumps-tariffs">resume deliveries to Chinese airlines</a> after a month-long pause triggered by rising trade tensions.
By logical deduction, it wouldn't be that much of a stretch to assume that some negotiations could occur regarding one of the central issues impacting homebuilders: <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/analyst-color/25/04/44592073/tariffs-could-shake-building-industry-homebuilders-plumbing-flooring-face-rising-costs">lumber tariffs</a>. Throughout the imposition of levies, Trump has barked loudly but has also walked back his aggressive posture. So, it may not be all doom and gloom for HD stock.
On a secondary note, Home Depot still benefits from everyday demand. Pipes don't care if economic conditions are worsening; they will break when they break (and often at inopportune moments). The immediacy of this business — by offering ample physical locations — also helps mitigate pressure from online competitors.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Statistical Framework Bodes Well For HD Stock</h2>
While narratives provide context and color for those with a long-term investment view, they're not always granular enough for traders. Wall Street analysts love giving out 12-month price targets because these allow the thesis breathing room. In such circumstances, the "why" of an investment is central. But for traders, the focus is on the "how" — as in how much, how fast and how likely.
Especially for options traders, the multi-layered risk profile requires more fine-tuned data. While options provide leverage, thus multiplying relatively small returns in the open market for big payouts in the derivatives market, they also expire. This means that a trade must be profitable in terms of the price target (y-axis) and within the allotted time period (x-axis).
Subsequently, probabilities represent the central concern among options traders. The problem is that the underlying statistical analysis to extract probability matrices cannot occur without stationarity; that is, the metric of comparison must be temporally consistent. Unfortunately, both fundamental and technical analysis run into the stationarity problem as their valuation and price (and price-derivative) metrics often drift over time.

However, for those who really want to swing for the fences, there is another spread available: the 370/375 bull spread, also expiring June 27. This transaction requires a net debit of $220 but the max reward is $280 (if HD rises through $375 at expiration), a payout of over 127%.
It's going to come down to risk tolerance. Looking at the empirical data, a price target of $372 is reasonable based on median performances following the 8-2-U sequence. But the median also means that the actual figure could come in higher or lower. It's a probability, not a guarantee.

Markets have come close to returning to February highs after China and the U.S. reduced their tariffs. While markets are still shaky, with a Treasury bond auction on Tuesday sending stocks down, most of the tariff drama seems to be over for now.
But, while markets as a whole have recovered and earnings are upbeat, some undervalued companies still have not participated in the rebound.
That&#8217;s a huge buying opportunity.
Today, we'll look at five undervalued stocks in tariff-stricken industries that could see new life in the second half of 2025. Each of these stocks has at least a 90 Benzinga Edge Value score and a technical or fundamental catalyst indicating that a potential uptrend is forming.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">KB Home Inc.</h2>

The stock trades at just 3.2 times forward earnings, and its 46% profit margins are among the best numbers in the marine shipping industry. Shares are also riding a new support level above the 14-day exponential moving average (EMA), indicating the breakout may have more upward momentum ahead.

The company said in a statement on Thursday that this development is the first in the nation to meet the home- and neighborhood-level wildfire resilience standards set by the Insurance Institute for Business &amp; Home Safety.
The homes in Dixon Trail are built with fire-resistant materials and methods based on over a decade of IBHS wildfire research.
These homes are designed to the highest level of protection against direct flame contact, radiant heat, and embers, reducing the likelihood of wildfire spread.
Upon completion, Dixon Trail will feature 64 homes, each constructed to the Wildfire Prepared Home Plus standard, ensuring they meet the strictest fire mitigation requirements.

Shares of KB Home (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/KBH#NYSE">KBH</a>) were rising in early trading on Wednesday, after tanking in the previous session on the company's <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/03/44465789/kb-home-q1-earnings-revenue-miss-eps-miss-demand-more-muted-than-expected-buyers-responding-favorably-to-value-pivot-and-more">downbeat fiscal first-quarter revenues</a>.
The company is witnessing a softer start to the Spring selling season than in the past few years, according to JPMorgan.
The KB Home Analyst: <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-stock-ratings/analyst/58f9fdc60bd991000159a4c3/michael-rehaut">Analyst Michael Rehaut</a> reiterated a Neutral rating, while cutting the price target from $74.50 to $68.00.
The KB Home Thesis: Consumer demand has been impacted by "affordability and macro uncertainty, resulting in slower decision making," Rehaut said in the note.

While KB Home witnessed a steep decline in orders in the first quarter, its margins contracted due to a reduction in prices in mid-February to stimulate demand, he added.
Management lowered their full-year housing revenue guidance by 6% and gross margin guide by 90 basis points at the midpoint, the analyst stated.
Although KB Home recorded a "meaningful improvement" in orders during the back half of the first quarter, following the price cuts, builders are likely to face "a less supportive demand/supply backdrop in 2025," he wrote.

<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-stock-ratings/analyst/5e3aa3632d37ce00019c9bcf/mike-dahl">Analyst Mike Dahl</a> reiterated a Sector Perform rating, while reducing the price target from $67 to $63.
KB Home reported soft quarterly results, with orders down 17% year-on-year versus its "roughly flat" guidance, Dahl said in a note. While a miss was expected, the magnitude was much higher than feared, he added.
Management cut its full-year gross margin guide to 19.2%-20.0%, from their prior projection of 20%-21%, with the fiscal second-quarter guidance of 19.1%-19.5% coming in below consensus of 20.1%, the analyst stated. The company's guidance could still "prove optimistic in a softer/competitive environment with potential increased cost pressures," he wrote.

The company's fiscal second-quarter guidance implies a midpoint of earnings of $1.45 per share versus estimates of $1.89 per share, he added.
Management lowered their full-year housing revenue from $7.0-$7.5 billion to $6.6-$7.0 billion, average selling prices from $488,000-$498,000 to $480,000-$495,000, and gross margins from 20%-21% to 19.2%-20.0%, the analyst stated. "This implies midpoint EPS of approx. $7.22 vs. our $8.25E," he further wrote.

Homebuilders are sounding the alarm on the state of American consumers, as sales depend on increased incentives and <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/03/44465789/kb-home-q1-earnings-revenue-miss-eps-miss-demand-more-muted-than-expected-buyers-responding-favorably-to-value-pivot-and-more">lower home prices</a>. 
What To Know: Lennar Corp. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/LEN#NYSE">LEN</a>) and KB Home (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/KBH#NYSE">KBH</a>) each reported disappointing first-quarter financial results in the past week. Both companies pointed to slowing "actionable demand" from homebuyers on earnings calls with analysts. 
Lennar Co-CEO Stuart A. Miller listed several factors contributing to the decrease in homebuyers' demand, including limited funds for down payments, high levels of personal debt, and hard-to-achieve income qualifications for mortgages.

"A somewhat confused consumer and wavering consumer confidence have challenged the consumer&#8217;s desire and ability to transact. While there continues to be considerable traffic and customers looking for homes, the urgency to actually transact remains tepid," Miller said on the earnings call.&nbsp;
Miller also raised concerns about new immigration policies and tariffs that could affect the housing industry.&nbsp;
"The housing market has softened as affordability and consumer confidence have limited actionable demand. Incentives have been increasing, and net housing prices seem to be moderating," Miller said, adding that at least housing will not be contributing to current inflationary pressures.&nbsp;
Executives at KB Home gave similar comments on Monday's earnings call after the company lowered its revenue guidance for fiscal 2025 due to softer demand at the start of the spring selling season.
"Consumers are working through affordability concerns and uncertainties related to macroeconomic and geopolitical issues, which are causing them to move slowly in their homebuying decisions," said Jeffrey Mezger, CEO of KB Home.
The company lowered its base prices to align with market conditions and stimulate demand, he explained.
"In mid-February, we took steps to reposition our communities to offer the most compelling value, and buyers responded favorably to these adjustments," Mezger added.
Robert McGibney, COO, added that about half of their communities saw price reductions ranging from $5,000 to $30,000, averaging around $15,000 to $16,000. McGibney noted that Florida was the softest state in terms of sales demand and required more significant pricing adjustments, while less adjustments were needed in the West and Southwest regions.&nbsp;
