'Rich Dad Poor Dad' Author Robert Kiyosaki Says He Will Buy 'One More' Bitcoin ASAP As BTC Breaks $122,000

Billionaire investor Chamath Palihapitiya sparked speculations regarding a potential megamerger between Elon Musk&#8217;s biggest ventures, xAI, SpaceX, and, of course, Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>).

What Happened: On Sunday, in a post on X, Palihapitiya made the case for a merger cascade between Musk&#8217;s ventures, xAI, which owns X.com, Grok, and more, with his space exploration, autonomous vehicles and EV plays.
He suggests that merging the three could give rise to a singular, transformative entity centered on &#8220;consciousness in all of its forms,&#8221; one that spans the physical, digital, and extraterrestrial realms.

Tesla is leaning heavily into self-driving and robotics, SpaceX is integrating machine learning into space navigation and satellite networks, while xAI, Musk&#8217;s latest venture, focuses on building artificial general intelligence.
In his post, Palihapitiya uses the term &#8220;industrial logic,&#8221; suggesting that he sees strategic alignment with such a merger. From Tesla&#8217;s hardware and xAI&#8217;s software, to SpaceX&#8217;s infrastructure plays, all aligned in a single, vertically integrated platform.

Why It Matters: Nearly five years ago, Musk himself had approved of this idea to <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/tech/20/12/18915031/elon-musk-floats-idea-of-starting-one-parent-company-to-hold-tesla-spacex-boring-neuralink">form a holding company</a> named X, which would work as the parent company for his many ventures, such as Tesla, SpaceX, Boring and Neuralink.
This comes just months after Musk&#8217;s xAI <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/tech/25/03/44549314/elon-musk-acquires-his-own-social-media-platform-x-through-xai-in-33-billion-deal-says-combined-entity-now-worth-80-billion">acquired his social media platform</a>, X.com, formerly known as Twitter, in an all-stock deal valued at $33 billion. 
Musk&#8217;s SpaceX now plans to invest $2 billion into xAI, according <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/tech/20/12/18915031/elon-musk-floats-idea-of-starting-one-parent-company-to-hold-tesla-spacex-boring-neuralink">to</a> a report by the Wall Street Journal on Sunday, as part of a $5 billion funding round. This values the company at $113 billion.
Price Action: Tesla shares were up 1.17% on Friday, trading at $313.51, and are up 0.85% after hours.

Meta Platforms Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/META#NASDAQ">META</a>) has reportedly acquired PlayAI, an artificial intelligence startup focused on natural-sounding voice technology.
What Happened: While financial terms were not disclosed, the entire PlayAI team will join Meta this week and report to Johan Schalkwyk, another new joinee from voice AI firm Sesame AI, <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-07-11/meta-acquires-voice-ai-startup-playai-continuing-to-add-talent?sref=10lNAhZ9">reported</a> Bloomberg, citing an internal memo.
The PlayAI team's "work in creating natural voices, along with a platform for easy voice creation, is a great match for our work and road map, across AI Characters, Meta AI, Wearables and audio content creation," the memo read.

Mark Zuckerberg's Meta Expands AI Talent With PlayAI Acquisition: Report

Rivian Automotive Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/RIVN#NASDAQ">RIVN</a>) could lose a major revenue source as President Donald Trump's &#8220;Big, Beautiful Bill&#8221; introduced a flurry of budget cuts.
What Happened: The Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) rival could potentially lose the revenue stream that helped it make $325 million in 2024 by selling ZEV credits, according to The Motley Fool <a href="https://www.fool.com/investing/2025/07/13/prediction-rivian-could-lose-this-325-million-reve/">on</a> Sunday.
The new budget relaxes CAFE, or Corporate Average Fuel Economy norms, which stipulate that vehicles must be able to cover a certain amount of distance on a gallon of fuel. The norms also imposed fines on automakers who exceeded the norms.
To avoid paying the fines, automakers can either work on improving fuel economy or purchase ZEV credits from companies like Tesla and Rivian, which the government awards these companies for manufacturing vehicles that do not have any emissions.
Why It Matters: With the relaxation of these regulations, selling ZEV credits could <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/07/46258669/tesla-made-2-76-billion-from-zev-credits-in-2024-in-us-but-trumps-tax-bill-just-killed-this-revenue-stream">become a challenge</a> as automakers would become less inclined to purchase the credits from companies like Rivian.
However, Rivian has other streams of revenue as well. Recently, Also Inc., a micromobility company spun off from Rivian, hit a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/07/46312033/rivian-spinoff-also-inc-hits-1-billion-valuation-after-raising-200-million-report">$1 billion valuation</a>. Rivian has a minority stake in Also.
Rivian delivered over <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/trading-ideas/movers/25/07/46224223/rivians-production-dips-for-next-gen-models-volkswagen-infusion-boosts-outlook">10,661 units in Q2 2025</a> as the EV maker reaffirmed the yearly delivery guidance of 40-46k vehicles despite uncertainty posed by Trump's tariffs.

Tesla-Rival Rivian Could Lose A Major Revenue Stream Due To a

President Donald Trump <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/politics/25/07/46263434/trump-signs-sweeping-tax-and-spending-bill-that-cbo-says-will-add-3-3-trillion-to-us-deficit-cut-health-coverage-for-11-8-million-americans">signed the tax and spending bill</a> earlier this month, which introduces significant changes to federal student loan programs. This move has sparked a debate on how the funding gap will be filled.
What Happened: As part of the new bill, new limits on federal student loans for parents and graduate students will be imposed starting from July 1, 2026. Under the new rules, parents can borrow up to $20,000 per year, with a lifetime cap of $65,000 per student, through the federal Parent PLUS program, reported <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/07/12/your-money/student-loan-limits.html">the</a> New York Times.
Graduate students will face an annual borrowing limit of $20,500 and a total cap of $100,000, not counting any undergraduate debt. Meanwhile, students in professional programs — like medical or law school — will generally be limited to $50,000 per year and $200,000 overall.
