FuboTV Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FUBO#NYSE">FUBO</a>) has <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/04/b44862704/fubo-retains-exclusive-rights-to-premier-league-in-canada-with-multi-year-agreement-beginning-with">secured a multi-year deal </a>to maintain its exclusive streaming rights for the English Premier League in Canada. 
The sports-focused live television platform confirmed it will continue to stream every Premier League match, starting with the 2025/2026 season, under the renewed agreement.
Fubo initially acquired the exclusive Canadian rights to the Premier League in 2022. The renewal strengthens the streamer's foothold in the soccer content space, where it already carries multiple high-profile leagues and tournaments across Europe and the Americas.
&#8220;The Premier League is considered the most prestigious soccer league globally and we are proud to remain the exclusive home of this elite competition in Canada,&#8221; said Ben Grad, senior VP of strategic partnerships and operations.

The platform offers a wide array of soccer programming in Canada, including exclusive rights to Serie A, Coppa Italia, and the Supercoppa Italiana. 
Additionally, matches from Ligue 1, the Canadian national teams, and Copa Libertadores are part of its soccer lineup. Fubo will stream all 380 Premier League games per season.
&#8220;The Premier League has many passionate fans in Canada, and Fubo does an excellent job making the competition available to them. Fubo Extends Soccer Reign In Canada With Premier League Renewal

Over the next three to five years, Google&#8217;s primary upside valuation driver will be its proprietary <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/artificial-intelligence">large language models (LLMs)</a>. 
That&#8217;s according to Needham analyst Laura Martin, who reiterated Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GOOGL#NASDAQ">GOOGL</a>), Google&#8217;s parent company, with a Buy and a $178 price target on Wednesday.
She expects GenAI to aid Google&#8217;s internal operations and increase revenue growth. Martin adds that Google Cloud will generate revenue from both LLMs and the applications built upon them.

As the internet is flooded with new cheap, low-value content, Martin seeks to know whether this will affect consumer trust, reduce session time, and hurt monetization for higher-quality online content.
As GenAI summaries in search results eliminate the need to click through to links, this is lowering ad monetization for publishers that have historically relied on traffic referrals. Therefore, the analyst seeks potential fixes from the aforementioned companies.
After all, media is built on IP, and GenAI increases the risks of copyright violations, hallucinations, and deepfakes.

UBS analyst John Hodulik maintains Walt Disney (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DIS#NYSE">DIS</a>) with a Buy and lowers the price target from $130 to $105.

UBS Maintains Buy on Walt Disney, Lowers Price Target to $105

Golfer Rory McIlroy made history as one of only six golfers in the modern era to complete the Grand Slam, winning the four major championships. While McIlroy's win was good for the sport of golf and his legacy, it may prove to be a negative for <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/sports-betting">sports betting companies.</a>
What Happened: McIlroy won his first ever Masters Tournament in a playoff with Justin Rose in the 2025 tournament, that <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/sports-betting/24/04/38221203/tiger-woods-masters-record-will-legendary-golfer-make-the-cut-heres-what-benzinga-users-sa">unlike last year,</a> didn't feature the same fanfare with Tiger Woods not participating.
While viewership for media partners Walt Disney Co (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DIS#NYSE">DIS</a>) and Paramount Global (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PARA#NASDAQ">PARA</a>)(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PARAA#NASDAQ">PARAA</a>) may have been down in the first few days of the Masters on a year-over-year basis without Woods, the final Sunday round provided ups and downs for golf fans and bettors that could make this one of the most memorable Masters tournaments in years.
For McIlroy it now serves as the final piece needed to complete the career grand slam, winning the Masters, PGA Championship, U.S. Open and British Open. McIlroy previously finished second at the Masters in 2022 and had multiple top 10 finishes before his victory Sunday.
The victory didn&#8217;t come easy with McIlroy having multiple ups and downs Sunday and giving away his final round lead multiple times, as shown on the Kalshi prediction market odds below.

With the win, McIlroy now joins Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods as the only Grand Slam winners in golf.

Sportsbooks Suffer: Several sportsbooks may be on the hook for large payouts on McIlroy, who was among the most bet golfers to win the Masters at odds mostly in a range of +650 to +1,200 before the tournament began Thursday.
At William Hill, the British sportsbook had a Money Back offer for a Free Bet if McIlroy won. This turns into a seven-figure payout by the sportsbook for the promotion, according to the company.
"Masters Sunday 2025 will go down as one of the most dramatic we've ever seen, but also as one of the most significant in the history of betting on golf for William Hill," company spokesperson Lee Phelps said.
Phelps said McIlroy was the biggest liability for the sportsbook with tens of thousands of individual bets placed on the golfer to win the Masters.
At BetMGM, which is a joint venture between MGM Resorts International (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MGM#NYSE">MGM</a>) and Entain, McIlroy was one of the most bet golfers to win. BetMGM's John Ewing <a href="https://x.com/johnewing/status/1911433529612783814">said </a>19% of the money was on McIlroy to win the tournament ahead of the fourth round on Sunday.  
What's Next: While McIlroy has now completed the career grand slam, bettors look ready to wager on the 35-year-old winning more major tournaments going forward.
BetMGM <a href="https://x.com/johnewing/status/1911807911241957779">offers </a>betting on how many majors McIlroy will win in 2025, with the upcoming PGA Championship (May 15-18), U.S. Open (June 12-15) and British Open (July 17-20). The payouts are

Prediction market Kalshi also has <a href="https://kalshi.com/events?search=rory+mcilroy">betting odds</a> for the remaining three majors in 2025, where McIlroy is either the favorite or has the second-best odds behind Scottie Scheffler in each tournament as listed below:

Looking At Walt Disney's Recent Unusual Options Activity

Despite <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/25/04/44756353/xi-jinping-says-there-are-no-winners-in-tariff-war-as-china-slaps-125-tariffs-on-us-goods-urges-trump-to-immediately-correct-wrongdoings">growing concerns about renewed trade</a> tensions between Washington and Beijing, one analyst says the drama may be more performative than policy-driven.
What Happened: Marko Papic, chief strategist at BCA Research, downplayed the long-term impact of escalating U.S.-China tariff rhetoric, suggesting that the latest threats may be largely symbolic and unlikely to result in sustained economic disruption.
"As the kids would say — just for the LOLz," Papic said in an interview with CNBC on Friday, referencing what he sees as political posturing from both sides.
His comments come after China's finance ministry accused the U.S. of "bullying" and warned that aggressive tariff policies could make America look like a "joke" on the global stage.
Papic acknowledged that markets are reacting to fears of a policy-induced slowdown, particularly in sectors like commodities, but said those concerns may be exaggerated. "It's not like this is a great financial crisis," he noted.
He's also not convinced that these trade policies— tariffs and bringing manufacturing back—will actually work or happen as planned. "When was the last time any U.S. policymaker actually referred to them [tariffs] as revenue raisers?"

Hollywood loves a good power play, and&nbsp; the 55-year-old actress Ellen Pompeo just gave the industry one for the history books. The &#8220;Grey's Anatomy&#8221; star didn't just ask for a raise—she demanded a paycheck worthy of the highest-paid women in television. And she got it.
Before making headlines in 2017 with her $20 million per year contract, Pompeo had a conversation that set the wheels in motion. She reached out to Shonda Rhimes, the creator of &#8220;Grey's Anatomy,&#8221; for a little pre-negotiation blessing. While Rhimes had no say in salary decisions, she encouraged Pompeo to go for it.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Negotiation That Changed the Game</h2>
&#8220;I said to her: ‘I'm going to go in and ask for this much. Are you cool with that?'" Pompeo recalled on the "<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jex1tGfWpno&amp;ab_channel=CallHerDaddy">Call Her Daddy</a>" podcast. &#8220;[Rhimes] was like, ‘Yeah, no one's going to give it to you. You have to ask for it.'&#8221;
She asked for—and got—$575,000 per episode, making her the highest-paid actress in a primetime drama. The deal also included backend points and producing credits, pushing her earnings beyond just a base salary.
For Pompeo, this wasn't just about money—it was about power. &#8220;I became aware at a really early age that people with money had power,&#8221; she explained.
&nbsp;&#8220;I didn't have any power as a young woman. And I didn't like the way that felt. She added, "You don't have to be with any man you don't want to be with. Pompeo was also well aware that &#8220;Grey's Anatomy&#8221; was a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/25/02/44049133/last-week-jeff-bezos-lost-3-9-billion-in-a-day-woke-up-3-9-billion-richer-now-its-gone">billion-dollar franchise</a>. The show has generated nearly $3 billion for Disney (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DIS#NYSE">DIS</a>) since its debut, making it one of the company's most lucrative properties. Pompeo saw no reason why she shouldn't get her fair share.
&#8220;Women should always push the envelope. All anyone can say is no,&#8221; she added.
Pompeo's bold move reignited the conversation about gender pay disparity in Hollywood. The industry has long been criticized for underpaying female talent, even on blockbuster productions.
Disney, for example, recently agreed to a $43.3 million settlement in a lawsuit accusing the company of systematically paying women less than men for over a decade. While the company denied wrongdoing, the settlement spoke volumes about the persistent wage gap.

Meanwhile, some argue that market forces—not discrimination—drive salary differences. In an interview with <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/matthew-lillard-movie-and-tv-roles-shaggy-scream-2024-10">Business Insider</a>, Matthew Lillard revealed the impact of box office performance firsthand.&nbsp;
Following the underwhelming box office results of &#8220;Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed,&#8221; Lillard feared for his career prospects, illustrating how financial outcomes can directly affect actors&#8217; opportunities and negotiations.
But others, like TV writer Katja Meier, see it differently. Meier, who has worked in television for over two decades, said ageism and sexism still dictate hiring and salary decisions. She founded Zenka Films to challenge industry biases and promote fair pay practices.
