"For more than two decades, Leidos has been at the forefront of supporting the U.S. Navy with cutting-edge autonomous subsurface and surface vessels," said Dave Lewis, senior vice president of Sea Systems for the company. "Sea Dart is the next step in the progressive evolution of our UUV product line, introducing a new, low-cost commercial UUV to the market. It offers the flexibility to fully customize customer payloads while staying true to our core commitment to keeping production costs significantly lower than other models."
Sea Dart currently comes in two different standard diameters, six and nine inches, and is transportable by one or two people. It is payload agnostic and compatible with the U.S. Navy's preferred Underwater Vehicle software architecture as well as the U.S. Navy's new non-propagating UUV battery design. Its high performance and low cost make it ideal for difficult missions in contested high-risk, environments and, at the other end of the spectrum, for use in scientific and research settings where low cost is paramount. A 12 ¾ inch diameter version is under consideration.

The base year plus four option years single-award contract has a ceiling value of $390 million.
Leidos will perform a wide range of technical, engineering, systems administration and management functions. Tasks include delivery of SIGINT capabilities, analysis and reporting tool modifications, engineering services, lab and testbed management, integration and testing, deployment, training, and sustainment of a subset of NSA systems.
"Tailored and unique SIGINT solutions for the military and intelligence community are critical to delivering information superiority at speed," said Roy Stevens, Leidos National Security Sector president. Trade Desk, Leidos, Devon Energy And A Major Health Care Stock On CNBC's 'Final Trades'

Wells Fargo analyst Matthew Akers maintains Leidos Holdings (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/LDOS#NYSE">LDOS</a>) with a Overweight and lowers the price target from $199 to $197.

U.S. stocks edged marginally lower on Tuesday after Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell reiterated that the central bank is in no hurry to cut interest rates during his testimony before the Senate Banking Committee, offering little <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/economics/macro-economic-events/25/02/43628752/feds-powell-reiterates-no-hurry-to-cut-interest-rates-as-inflation-remains-somewhat-elevated">support for risk assets.</a>
Investors remained on edge ahead of Wednesday's key inflation report, with the Bureau of Labor Statistics set to release the January Consumer Price Index.
The S&amp;P 500 dipped 0.1%, the Nasdaq 100 declined 0.2%, and small-cap stocks underperformed. Bucking the trend, the Dow Jones Industrial Average posted a marginal 0.1% gain.
Company-wise, Intel Corp. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/INTC#NASDAQ">INTC</a>) surged 7%, after Vice President J.D. Vance indicated that artificial intelligence chips will be manufactured in the U.S.
Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) fell by over 4%, reaching the lowest levels in eleven weeks, pressured by weak January auto sales in China.
Geopolitical tensions flared as the European Union threatened countermeasures in response to President Donald Trump's announcement of 25% tariffs on aluminum and steel.
Long-dated Treasury yields moved higher, with the 10-year yield rising to 4.54%. Yet, the broader dollar index – as tracked by the Invesco DB USD Index Bullish Fund ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/UUP#NYSE">UUP</a>) – weakened, down 0.2%. 
Gold paused for a breather, remaining flat at $2,900 per ounce. Oil prices inched up by 1%, eyeing the third straight session of gains. 
Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) weakened 1.3% to $96,000.
